I think your description of Germany is very nice, thanks for that. From your point of view, we may be thinking too much about our problems. Our school system is indeed very good. However, we also have one of the highest tax rates in the world. But for my part, I like to pay taxes if the state handles them responsibly.

You seem to be talking about subways and city rail (S-Bahn). Those run on tight schedules like you mentioned. It's very different for regional trains. 5-10 minutes late can be the norm there. Sometimes even longer for long distance trains as the delays at stations add up. It's a bit of a national past time to complain about the delays of DB trains.

i think the things u mentioned in ur video really depend on the part of germany u live in. for example here in berlin nothing is very clean or "nice looking" (i still love berlin tho) . im a german that used to live in SA and for me the thing i defenitly appreciate the most about germany compared to SA is the safety. im a man so i do think our experiences differ. but in general, i almost never feel like im in a life threatening situation here compared to SA where i was always looking over my shoulder and where i was always "on alert". because of the gangsterism going on. on the other hand i do miss a lot of things from SA. For example how open people are, inviting u to their home, offering food even tho they dont even have enough for themselves or the attitude people in ur community have. it actually feels like a coomunity, people watching out for one another. these are things u dont get here in germany or atleast not here in berlin. and the food aswell...aii i miss gatsby so much 😅

Regarding the unemployment insurance if you have worked in Germany for a certain time (1 year at the beginning) you have the right to receive the benefits if you loose your job. The amount of money you receive depends on the fact if you are single or if you have a family it is 60% or 67% of your last paycheck. This money you can get for max 2 years but you have for sure try to get a new job but there is a office which helps you with this. I don’t know if foreigners are permitted to receive the social minimum payment which German citizens are granted but I think it is depending on your status if you have only a temporary permission to stay of a on limited permission. For sure I know that people from the EU have the same rights as Germans for Non EU I don’t know exactly.
Regarding the bread it is not 300 it is more like 3000 different types we have. Additionally there are more than 1500 different types of sausages to put on your bread and a really big amount of cheeses.

If you have experienced one German winter you will understand why we love the sun. About being poor in Germany: there is poverty. But people who really struggle don't talk about it as much because they might be ashamed. And the poorest workers are usually brought here from eastern Europe and they are really exploited. You could get a glimpse of it when the corona outbreak at the meat fabric in Gütersloh happened.

I think one reason why older people like English speakers is because they really treated the Germans fair after the second world war. I remember how my great grandfather who was a pow by the British told me that they treated him really fair. I was 6 years old when he passed but I know how important it was to him to tell me that. My grandfather was a young boy at the end of the second world war and they suffered a lot of hunger. He always told stories how they stole coal and potatoes and how once his friend was caught by an American soldier. From that time his friend got all the good stuff like butter and chocolate by that soldier and he was so envious that he didn't get caught. I think many families have these stories and the elder remember this and the younger had a huge influence by English speaking media.

You are right: Germans are very conscious of the environment.
Still, one child born in Germany is going to consume ressouces and contaminate the invironment about 800 times more than one ordinary African child does, as far as I know.
So, yes, if we were as negligent towards the environment as most Africans are, things on earth would even be much worse.
An African might not select trash for industrial recycling. (Still too many poor people in Africa actually collect trash to resell it) But when flying to other countries for hollidays the harm to the environmet might be more than a poor African can do during his or her whole life.

It's so sweet, how you are telling about and rating Germany, the country, the culture, the habbits... But from my point of view as a German not all is true. It's only true from your point of view as a southafrican woman. For example: german women don't rate germany as safe, when they walk alone on the street at night. The trains are not on time here compared to Japan. And i am sure, in germany we have 10 % racists. But i like your videos. Continue with them and be happy here. You are welcome here in our country.
