Honestly if I had somebody taking care of everything for me i wouild eather feel like im some rich ass prince with servants for everything or that they just think im to dumb to do it myself :D
Here in germany people would get really pissed if somebody packed their groceries for several reason: a) Why are you touching MY stuff b) Why are you doing that it is just a waste of everybodies time. Germans dont go grocerie shopping for pleasure. It is done as a necessety and generally we want to be done with it as fast as possible so we can get to do stuff we actually want to do :) The time you guys waste with having somebody do a (in my opinion) pointless and degrading job as a pack animal more or less we spand chilling in our gardens enjoying the good life :D
Hahaha...seeing this reminded me of my driving lessons. One day, my driving instructor told me to pull up into a gas station, because he wanted to refuel. Since I had never done that (refueling), I simply asked him, whether I could watch him doing it. He said "yes, of course!", and so I learned how you fill a car's tank. And that knowledge served me well. After I had my driver's license and my first car, I knew already what to do, when the time for my first refill arrived. Would have stood there clueless like you, if I hadn't asked then to watch.
You did such a good job. When I got my licence in Germany, I also drove a lot. And then we sold our car and I have not driven in like 4 months. I am not looking forward to the next time I have to drive.

To be correct in it, a person must have grown up in an English country. I was born to soon, I'm 1949 model. Lol.
