No tea no shade to the other members of Youngnails because all of you guys are wonderful but Karen has been the only one that gave an in-depth detailed tip on how to pick up the perfect pearl of acrylic on a brush. I feel the urge to move toward acrylic again because the main reason why I moved away from acrylic and more towards gel and polygel was because I couldn’t figure out how to pick up the acrylic properly. Thanks for sharing the knowledge Karen:)
I honestly agree 😅 but they all give their own advices and teach ppl in the way that they know, everyone will take that information in in different ways and whatever works for them! But yes she does give great beginners advice the best to those who don't understand the others information they put out, so I thank you Karen for giving some of your audience the guidance we need and crave in this industry! We don't get many ppl at all that go in such in depths to teach people how to do things correctly and it's absolutely wonderful to finally come across someone who can actually teach us those methods in the ways that we take in information and bring it into our work! Thank you 💙✨
I love the fact that you expressed this so openly. I can’t polish my nails and totally love my nail polish when im finished polishing. I’m tomboyish, have been since I was a little girl but there’s something about doing guy things that make me feel like I’m a strong woman! I also have my soft side that not too many people will ever see. But I love to let my guard down and feel lovely and pretty from head to toe and go on a date night with my husband and so I started trying to do my nails with gel tips or build my nail with forms or the sticker 😅it’s so dainty because you have to be soft and sort of be gentle with the product and with your nails and your electric file. Like you have to have that soft touch. Well, I have to get in touch with my soft touch ha ha but tutorials help me and hopefully I’m getting better and I’m so embarrassed to even say I’m trying but what you said in your comment has really give me confidence. Thank you very much.
@JoLopez-lo9up Just the fact that you’re trying to do your nails will help you in so many ways! Just taking the time to do your nails (or get them done) is therapeutic It makes you look & feel more feminine & every time you look at them you get a positive mental pick me up 😊 I’m sure your husband appreciates you taking the time to do them too lol Good luck on your nail journey & welcome to the addictive world of nails! 😂👏🏽🥳💅🏽❤💸
Yes! This! The minutia is exactly what I needed to learn. You aren't mere instructors, you are educators (btw, this woman is incredibly pleasant to listen to). You can explain the how and the why from every direction, including the how not and why not. I appreciate your thoughtfulness in preparing these videos so even the newest of us can follow along. You are like the ivy league for nail education, but you are offering this for free; I can't get over that!
Wow, this was probably THE BEST explanation/demonstration that I have seen regarding acrylic application EVER! You made it so clear and understandable, from the proper way to load your brush, to how much acrylic powder to pick up and where on the brush it should be done, to acrylic placement and everything in between. You just made it make sense. I will watch again and again until I am able to execute my acrylic application as easily as you explained/demonstrated it. Thank you!
Wow, thank you ladies and YN. You just showed me most of my mistakes in 15mins. I'm about to do a Rock Star pink and White tonight. Thanks for the confirmation and inspiration 🙏🏽
These are the kinds of videos that have the best impact on repeat. Karen is the Queen of clear explanation and despite being familiar with my mistakes I need to often be reminded as to what goes wrong. Thanks Karen and YN Fam
Thanks so much ..... My bead was either too wet or too dry and I worked it way too long. My nails looked good by the time I was done, but It took me three hrs to do them. I learned a great lesson today, maybe I can cut the time down to an hour and a half. Once again thanks. This channel is AWESOME!!!!!!!!
This video was extremely helpful for me to figure out what I've been doing wrong. Thanks YN for providing for consistent and accurate nail education that I'm able to apply right away! I've decided to only use your acrylic application method as it makes the most sense to me of the methods I've seen. I appreciate you all! 💅🏆👑
My goodness!!!! You just fixed 1/2 my problems with this simple training. Thanks sooo much. I'm self taught so every little training helps. I hope one day I can make some money off this.
This is the best Video on doing acrylic nails i've ever seen. I never knew how i'd properly master the consistency and how to properly work with it and you made me understand how to master that. I'll Download that Video and watch it the next time i'll do my nails 👍
I've been teaching myself acrylics for years lol within the last two years though my application has gotten really good on my opposite hand there's no lifting when I do it with my dominant hand there's lots of lifting and you just answered my problem because when I work with my dominant hand it's too dry when I work with my less dominant hand I let it get wetter because I angle it down because I can't Pat it out as much and still have it straight lol and not lumpy thank you
You don’t know how many times I said oooooooohhhh while watching this, thank you so much I have been doing everything wrong lol no one has explained it like this ❤❤
Explained way better than when I was in school! I hated liquid to powder because I didn't understand the diverse use of the different consistencies. I do gel acrylics because I was so discouraged by the time it would take me to grasp it doing a set. Awesome video! Very thorough!
Thanks! My daughter is starting high school and really wants acrylic nails a lot. Just can’t afford salon so for the cost of one set I can get what I need and learn how to do them for her. Also hoping that will be some good bonding time.
Your explanations are so on the point. Thanks very much.i was really always ending up with some thick cuticles ,I will then file and file and file still it wasn't that thin.thanks for this beautiful details.
Thank you for this. Im on day 1 of my hopefully long nail journey. Ive just brought my starter kit to practice on and every single tutorial shows you how to do it but they dont explain the technique so my first nail came out disastrous. Im getting better with each try because of this video. Thank you
Definitely need to practice and learn more when applying the bead to the nail by the cuticle more where I don’t smash it on and like yours where it’s set down beautifully and built apex and lightly go towards the cuticle and sidewalls and brush it toward the tip where it’s not flat and bulky on the outsides of edges
You make it look like a breeze lol. What a helpful and informative video. You have managed to answer one of my pevious questions from another video about application and the cuticle area. I also didnt realize I was overworking my product so easily and will be more mindful in the future to avoid those tiny tiny bubbles 😅. Thank you 💯. Still curious about what to do when product dries on the skin or gets on the cuticle (worst case scenario) of course.
Absolutely wonderful. You OPENED my eyes on what to do Correctly. I've subscribed to you and will look at more of your videos. Thank you very #NAILYMUCH 💅
incredible detailed and specific information that you have shown, actually i was practicing yesterday and a lot of these mistakes were happening . I will surely use your advise to rectify my mistakes. The changes are easy to follow , with the way you have explained. Awesome teacher.
I have a question regarding apex structure for different lengths of nails. Do short nails (under 1.5cm from cuticle to free-edge) need an apex? Would you do an apex for an acrylic overlay?
You do want to build at least a slight apex/arch to every artificial nail to give it the strength and durability it needs. If you are building shorter nails, they won't need quite so much of an arch, but longer nails will need to be built up to support the extra length.
At times I think it’s a good bead placement application and than it does not look runny and after it settles it runs to sidewalls and kinda bulky where I first set it close to the cuticle but not up against it. And than I hav the issue it me having to force it also. The struggle is REAL
Hi!I never worked with acrylic, and i will like toknow if the primer used at gel is good when i will use acrylic, and if is need to put my nails in uv lamp .Excuse my english. Thank you
We cannot speak on other products as we do not test them. We use our product protein bond. Protein bond is a non acid primer.. it doesn’t chemically etch the nail like a traditional primer does. Protein stays sticky.. sticks to the natural nail and then sticks the product. Here is a video on Protein Bond & how to use it: ua-cam.com/video/GY8KvVKJlQE/v-deo.html
I'm just a diy-er and I can usually only tap my acrylic n2 the cuticle area neatly while it runs on my index n pinky. I'm guessing it's cuz they're the smallest. I'm not sure what size my middle n ring finger nails r but they're close to my thumbs. My thumbs r 15mm n that's also why I taught myself how to sculpt on forms from the get go. My nails aren't abnormally large though... they do fit the size of my hands 😆 🤣 😂 When I was young I played the piano n had grays hands for it but I stopped playing when my grandpa died. In high school my gym teacher was the girls basketball coach. She flunked me cuz I wouldn't play on the team. I could throw the basketball like a baseball. So now that I've got size references outta the way... What r your suggestions for the tap tap tap n run for me?

With the forms is it harder to apply the acrylic on the tip first the cuticle side and do like one or two beads to go up to the tip of the form? Or does it not come out right? Also same with using nail tips?

I’ve noticed in the thumb nail how to apply the bead on the don’t when showed press right in middle and looks like a donut I e been doing that and I think because when doing gel Greg gave tips on to kinda pillow it like that so the gel is toward the cuticle but I need to know it’s not the same as acrylic application
Do you guys have this being done on a live hand? I feel like my issue is getting the sidewalls tight and folks have bigger sidewalls than the mannequin. But also thumbs are so naturally wide and idk what to do.

Thank you for this video, are you using slow setting monomer?
We only have one type of monomer. Our powders have different setting speeds.

Does it matter what liquid you use? My acrylic stays like rubber like forever. I don't know if the liquid is crap or the powder. Do u have any advice?

All of our products are available on our website, youngnails.com.

Hi! I watch your videos with interest. I am wondering what do you guys recommend work with gel or acrylic!?
Both! We always recommend using what is used most where you are located.
Please video step by step how to use bond, base, activator and top thank you

No, you do not apply gel and acrylic the same way.
👍👍👍👍👍
If you leave gel in the brush can the sun cure it?
Yes it can.

What acrylic powder brand is that
Our brand, Young Nails. All of our products are available on our website, youngnails.com.
What is she wiping her brush on? It doesn’t look like a paper towel.
It's our table towels, available on our website, youngnails.com.
Wow I made everything single mistake😂explains why mine always looked like a statues finger
You've got to be kidding me. Who would swirl the brush into the acrylic?
❤️
What is the total price of this kit
Which kit are you referring to? All of our kits are available on our website, youngnails.com
My pearls keep falling off the brush into the powder. What am I doing wrong?
You may be using too much liquid. Try wiping a bit more off of your brush before you pick up the powder.
@@youngnailsinc I will try that, thank you.
