@@user-jz3sh4gx5u Zhenya started throwing her nasty comments when Alina didnt agree that both teams won, and its normal because thats why people work and compete, not for the victory to be split between everyone all the time, like they did to her after Olympics
and Alina thanked Zhenyas team and her personally for the competition, and you can clearly see that Zhenyas face was annoyed and mean during that, like she couldnt even say the same thing back! thats why Alina made faces because she was clearly not happy about Zhenyas behavior. If I was Alina I would be more pissed and angry but Alina knows what to say and shut those who trying to make it look like her team didnt deserve to win!
first Zhenya talks about how her team is the best and all that, but when they lost she looks for people to put the blame on, like she did to Maia, saying that Aliona would be a better candidate, plus saying her female skaters are not "top ranked" as skaters in Alinas team
that behavior is very nasty and disgusting, and if Maia knew she would say that, she wouldnt go and risk her health trying to do quads to bring Zhenyas team a victory
thats why Im saying that Alina is so much nicer and Russians love her a lot because she would never say stuff like that about other skaters
and most people here dont know or speak russian ans already make presumptions of Alina just based on her reaction in the video

You people are giving strange references... everyone is shaming Alina for defending her group’s victory here and I wanted to point out the whole story before people call her arrogant. This is not related to Adelina at all. What compare these two will change in the argument of group victory? It is another topic and has similarities. Everyone goes through hard things and one being more difficult does not discard the other..
Alina’s olympic victory was dismissed by russian media and Medvedeva’s (not fans, fans would be reasonable) obsessors were writing ugly things to the extremes. Even some important names were talking about Alina with disapproval on their faces. This is the light version of the story.
It came to a point where other people saying Alina’s victory is illegal etc. because of jumping... Imagine, you sacrifice so much, go through so much pain and people dismiss it because other team mate made herself a name as a celebrity and they “preferred” her to win.
A true sportsman should learn to win but also learn to lose. (Losing is silver medal, how ironic) apply it to your logic: Adelina won 1st place that year and Yuna got 2nd place.
And how it angers people saying Adelina did not deserve? See the point?
I will not comment who is right or wrong but want to say rejecting victories of the opponent only angers people more and it is the exact opposite of “creating peaceful sportsmanship environment”
When someone throws it is not a victory, you cannot expect the winning team to say guys it was unfair we should have lose? This is nuts, what people expect I really don’t understand.Of course Alina should answer. What she should have done, bend over?
You got second place with very close points and you say congrats, you say thank you and this will make you graceful, fairplayer, strong sports person. Problem solved...
My final point is: Alina’s backstory and these parts are kept out from all the videos of the editor. When telling a drama, this leads people to make Alina a villian... there is no villian or victim. This is a sports game🤷🏻‍♀️

guys, most of you don't understand the real meaning behind what's happening because you are not russian speakers. Alina was not petty or mean, she simply said that they were the winners, which is true. She is tired of hearing "they are both golden" when she is clearly the winner (yes I know this is all the merit of skaters who competed but still). And also, when Zhenya's team won the prize of people's choice and afterwards she said "well, people know who they are voting for"... Let me tell you this one ugly thing about russian television: they falsify everything for the show. Even if more people had voted for Red Machine, this team could not have won both awards, this is the point. This is nothing more than a consolation prize. And yeah, about Alina talking "rudely" to Yagudin. He is older, that's right, but they are already kind of friends, they have hosted some shows together, and those moves of hers were in a joking manner. He was telling off the male skaters very rudely, so Alina stepped in and stopped him multiple times, this is rational behavior. You did not understand what he was saying because Ted Barton can't translate from russian, so you probably judge only from his "every skater is amazing" (which is true) and from what you saw, without knowing the whole situation.

I mean you picked and chose certain comments and wrote your opinion. Evgenia also said they are also winners which is true (they won the audience award) to which Alina responded there was only one person with the cup. Also, of course the team with the most votes could have won all the awards- they do this all the time in Russia. You could hear the chants of Zhenya in the background drowning out everything which itself said a lot about the vote. Fact: They also were on top in 3/4 disciplines by points with Alina's team only winning by the Women. Evgenia was already upset from the start about the draw suddenly changing while Alina was really happy about it. If you were at work in a huge meeting and all of a sudden the rules change and it works in the favor of another co-worker, of course you would be upset especially if it feels unfair. Anyway all in all - congratulations to Alina's team on the cup and congratulations to Evgenia's team on the audience choice award and winning in 3/4 disciplines. The real stars are the skaters who performed with their heart and soul and there is a really strong team in Russia. The point of the event was to prepare for the team event in the Olympics.

They're athletes but most important, their young REALLY YOUNG girls with feelings), just think how bad must've Alina felt with all the hate... Ugh I hate the world. I loved the interactions in the whole event but I think both Zhenya and Alina are too toxic and I can't help but feel worried when I see too many interaction with the younger generation, like think on their influence into this girls.
Sasha did leave Eteri to be the star (totally justified because she is amazing and doesn't get enough recognition from the ISU) and then Aliona did the petty thing to move to Plushenko to start training under him knowing well why Sasha leaved.
I'm sorry I'm a simp for Sasha and Aliona isn't my favorite, idkw just don't have the connection with her.
I did love the positive energy the teams within both teams and I feel like I want a KUWTK with only Russian skaters to get the animosity out and have so many memes (I can totally see Yana ugly crying just as how Kim does and Eteri being Kourtney "Yana people are dying")

I get what you mean tho, it was always Trusova for me ever since I first knew about them as juniors in 2018, but I think Kosto is so undeniably good as well and she’s stronger in the areas Sasha is weaker. In the field rn, Trusova is #1 for me and Kosto is 2nd, but they’re both amazing!!. And I would literally kill for a KUWTK for Russian figure skating. Like I have never wanted something more. And Eteri surely won’t object to it as her pockets will be fuller than ever if that happens. Although the show would probably show the Tutberidze team teaching their incorrect and dangerous technique..so maybe she would object. RusFed would probably happily oblige tho. But
it seems to me that more embarrassing things happened at the press conference than those you mentioned. Firstly, from the very beginning, there were hints from Zhenya that the tournament was "unfair". she literally said that Zagitova got girls that are "top" (or best, idk how to translate it better), and she got "lower rank". which was quite unethical towards her own team. She literally was the first to start the whole argument by saying that "I don't admit defeat and the audience knew who to vote for."

I do have to say, I think Zhenya is finally feeling what other scatters have been feeling for many years (since apparently, this trophy was rigged-I can see that.) Ever since a few years ago, she has been over scored for her flutz and other elements that hadn’t been sharpened at all, and a lot of her mistakes were not called.
The Russian Federation favored her so much, even over more experienced Russian skaters, and it was too obvious- yet the only people that talked about it were branded as haters or something.
And I don’t think she has ever once called the judges out for over scoring her, she’s basically an accomplice to cheating. I know people are going to use the excuse that because she technically didn’t tell the judges to give her a higher score back then, she shouldn’t be held responsible. The way I see it, that is excusable when your teacher accidentally puts in 100% instead of 10% on your test in middle school. Not at nationals and international championships.

this mostly has me concerned for the future generations more than anything. having the two female Russian figure skating mentors (I'll call them), zhenya and Alina being this openly hostile against each other is just creating more toxicity amongst younger skaters as this is the example their SENIORS are setting. and I don't blame the girls for being like this towards one another, its the fault of the fans, media, and COACHES, however its unfortunate that they fell victim to their game. I wish all skaters interacted like how shoma and yuzuru interact. cheering each other on and wishing the best for the other while still giving it their all and not wanting to lose. that is what healthy competition is and what it should be like for all these young athletes since they're literally just kids and if anyone understands the situations they're in, its their fellow competitors. I'm seriously worried about this rivalry thats brewing in Russian figure skating because quite frankly, things like this never end well.

    • @doraziyanchen
      @doraziyanchen 3 роки тому +5

I know right!! But I think unfortunately Yuzu and Shoma, or Yuzu and Javi’s relationships are the exception, not the norm. It’s usual that there would be animosity between skaters, it’s just part of the sport. It’s not reasonable for 2 top skaters to always get along, when the other is always the one preventing them from winning the gold medal. But it’s extra bad here between Alina and Zhenya because all this brewed hostility and rivalry that has lasted for over 2 years and constant drama has affected them, like expected. I would say this is a product of the media, the whole skating community, and Eteri. Their behavior although immature, was not a huge shocker. I hope the younger skaters don’t follow in their footsteps and the 2022 olympics dont end up the same, cuz we have so many similar situations going on, and not even just between 2 girls but between like 4 at least (Sasha, Kamila, Anna, Aliona) all so young and friends with each other. And Sasha and Anna are literally such good friends, like best friends right now just like Alina and Zhenya were at one point, I would hate for another situation like this to all happen again. And even now, they’re facing such bitter rivalry spurred by the immature adult coaches now.

    • @ladida9084
      @ladida9084 3 роки тому +5

It's a sport. In every other goddam sport rivals act like this, why should they cheer on their competitors? it just doesn't make any sense for them. Especially after Pyeongchang and being coached by the same team. it would be weird if they were friendly. healthy competition is not letting competition and how the other does consume you + having a courteous relationship with your rivals, even Nadal and Federer were like this, in F1 teammates are known to constantly play mind games on each other. Let's stop expecting everyone to be BFFs when they are there to compete and win, we should let them have human emotions when things don't go their way.

The fact that Sasha and aliona can’t even bear to see eachother walking in and out of practices, that is NOT normal and should not be normalized, especially when it’s clear that it’s the adults agenda to push this sort of behavior. I’m not saying they shouldn’t be actual competitors. You can be competitors while still being civil towards one another, that is the meaning of the term respect. honestly, this event was a) made quite in rush(i think it was announced it would happen around 2 weeks before) b)obviously cover up to the Navalny situation in Russia(right as russians like, putting up a pretty picture on TV whilst people outside are protesting).
I cant say anything much-I already had a feeling that Alina and Zhenya was not friendly at all, besides I feel like Alina somehow always gets the upper hand, the same goes for all Eteri’s students. Its not my intention to hate on all of them-I love Anna and Kamila and the feeling their skating gives me,but i do have to say-I got into figure skating early 2019,after seeing Sashas FP,and since then i have been a huge fan.I think Eteri has her favorites-the winners-it was Zhenya at the start, then Alina, then Aliona and Anna, now Kamila.Im happy that Sasha went to Plushenko-i believe it was a good decision, since under Eteri she got less attention, but it was indeed a really dirty move from Rosanov to ask Aliona to go to Plush and Aliona to accept it,knowing full well that sasha moved for wanting more attention and being a star.
I think in the press conference Alina just was very petty and immature, not accepting of the fact that you cant always get everything.Sure-Zhenya was not better either in her tone towards Alina, but she at least was trying to keep up the image “we are fine” .
all in all-all of them are winners of the grand prize of the risk for getting covid-19,the way people wore masks just triggered me.

Hi! I am Russian, but I live in Siberia, 5000 km far from Moscow. There are Covid regulations and almost everyone is aware of them here. People are wearing masks, most public places are closed or restrictions are applied. I mean, it is different. We are also shocked by how no social distancing is shown on TV during these competitions while it's not possible to buy anything in the supermarket without a mask. Vaccination also plays a great role - a lot of people rely on it. And dissidents - how to ignore, people thinking Covid does not exist, they're the same all over the world. So, in summary, I wrote this comment to tell you, that "real" Russia is not the same as public presented in this show.
In two weeks it will be a year since we work from home (me and my husband). I even donated almost all my work outfits, 'cause I don't need them anymore. I have seen only one friend three times in past year. Never visited any concert, museum or exhibition. But visited several funerals... so I know how important all that is.
      Take care!

@@mantolinez I’m actually so happy to hear, the Covid situation was so shocking here. And with all the coaches who were wearing masks, just incorrectly. Maybe it’s because literally half the skaters have already gotten Covid so it was this bad here. But that’s still no excuse. It’s just as bad in every other comp Russia has had thus far

Еrmolina last words were that friendship formally won, both teams performed well, received awards, to support the atmosphere of unity and celebration within the national team. But it seems that Alina can not only speak, but also listen, catch accents, understand. She did not listen and paid attention to what Zhenya, Eteri (according to Zhenya) said, what was the reaction of the journalists and the press secretary. And why did Еrmolina sum up the results so much? As for Zhenya, she has always been able to speak in public, although many may think that she is harsh, the manner of speech and its presentation. You can agree with her or not, but one thing can not be taken away Zhenya knows how to express his opinion

If you managed to win once, we can call it luck but- being able to win again? That's says a lot 😌

Apart from the Zhenya and Alina drama that was super stupid imo because neither of them was skating, things I didn’t like were 1) the obvious overscoring of people in a certain team and underscoring of people in the other team 2) Anna..she is a favorite of mine and it breaks my heart to see her struggling so much and already behind Kamila. I’m not saying Kami doesn’t deserve credit, because she does, I just want to point out how 17 is always the age when Eteri’s girls health gives up. 3) Alina acting very aggressive the whole time, not only at the press conference and making it a personal victory when she didn’t even skate and the event that made more points was ladies and her team was all team tutberidze( and all the strongest girls, since Sasha is underscored, they will score Dasha as much as her in just a while I think)

Lol it seems that you haven't watched the whole press conference, zhenya started it, and I think I already replied to you at another video, but I admit both of them had immature and childish moments but you can't blame alina she's just standing up for herself and her team.. finally~
And it's not her fault she got eteri girls, if zhenya wants two quad girls then she should have chosen kamila first so she'll have both kami and trusova. Zhenya just can't accept defeat, she said it herself, while alina is just fighting for her and her team. And zhenya is already 21~ she should act more mature than alina but I guess eteri's at fault there~

But why there should be winners "here and there"? It's not a gala, it's competition. It is normal for one team to win. It can be shamed. And the style of this competition called "team" means that we can only summarize the results of all kinds. Not "blue men win, red women win". Otherwise, what team was it?
I think, suggestion "everyone is a winner" repeats the Olympics-2018, when Medvedeva got the silver and Zagitova - gold. Everyone was so sorry for Zhenya that called "they are both gold". But nowadays Zagitova is older and more confident. And she don't want to sacrifice her and her team honest victory in order to protect Zhenya's feelings. They aren't both kids anymore. For what purpose there should be a kindergarden?

Medvedeva exactly dismissed the efforts of girls she have chosen by her words "they are weaker, so the situation is dishonest". Really? Not everything person senses and thinks should be spoken. Especially in that inappropriate form. Her girls tries to score more points for her and her team, by their falls they could damage theirselves. They don't deserve such words from their captain.
