It is but it registers as an image file, not an object or path. This means that you cannot edit it in the same way. However, it is possible to create a bitmap from an image using the Trace Bitmap feature (there is a video on my channel regarding the trace bitmap feature). Bear in mind though, the trace bitmap feature can be very taxing on your hardware. In essence, the trace bitmap feature will copy your image and turn it into a editable object. Hope this helps 😁 PS thank you so much for your kind words & welcome to the wonderful world of creation with Inkscape
Thanks for the video. I find the pen tool very inexact when attempting to draw geonetric designs/logos, and prefer to base objects on rectangles, circles etc. I can see even your attempt here with the "G" is still a bit wonky (no offence!).
No offence taken in the slightest. I completely agree. It isn't an exact art but when used in conjuction with the other tools, I would soon miss it if it was gone lol
I had hopes this would be useful, but this is not for an Inkscape Beginner. Namely, you do not show how to get the image imported into Inkscape, set up paper size, where to to find sketch once in, how to trace sketch, how layers work....so, for me, i am not going to watch rest. Maybe if I knew how to use Inkscape, your tips could help..but....
I understand the frustration but at no point did I say this video was specifically for beginners. If you would like me to do a beginners version I would be happy to do so
Blue is my favorite colour too🙂

Cool, but I'm having difficulty with using the pen tool
Would you like me to make a video regarding the pen tool? I would happily add it to next weeks video if it would help
@@ButtonPressGraphics If you could, please
