Vintage bar cabinet gets a STUNNING MAKEOVER after a year of neglect I ASMR Furniture restoration

Over a year ago, I acquired this vintage bar cabinet with grand plans for restoration, only to find out it wasn't all wood-some parts were veneer over MDF. Frustration set in when my sander revealed the MDF underneath, shattering the vision I had for this piece. Disheartened, I left it untouched for almost a year. But the desire to give this furniture the makeover it deserved set it and I got to work.
The journey wasn't without hurdles; aged screws required brute force for removal. Exploring new techniques, I stained the wood with a homemade solution of vinegar and steel left to sit overnight in a jar. The application starts clear but then quickly darkens the wood, offering a unique effect based on the wood type. As the MDF was exposed, painting became a necessity. I chose a light blue shade to create a contrast with the dark-stained wood. I also tackled years of dirt on handles and hinges, making them shine again with gilding wax.
After meticulous sanding, cleaning, and painting, I believe it has finally received the transformation it deserved. This process has been both challenging and rewarding, and I'm excited to reveal the revitalized vintage bar car!
