I love the simplicity in the way you state what you have and your expectations. As you implied, it's all about expectations. If you simply expect a bike that'll ride, with cheap fixes you can likely make on your own, and a bike you won't shed a tear in case it gets stolen, then this $80-100 bike is perfect. I bought this bike after having a new and excellent road bike, and a semi-expensive recreational and functional fold-up bike, and I use this one as my care-free bike to beat up. What's furthermore, the resale value is pretty high in comparison to other bikes. If you buy a bike for $80, you're probably not reselling it for less than $50. Otherwise, just give it for free or store it in your garage for a friend to use if you get another more quality bike. Really people, if you are semi-handy and know the difference between a wrench and a Phillip's Head, you will find value in this bike. I would never call this the best bike I bought, but I would certainly agree it is the best bike I bought for the value...
It just needs a gear tuneup. Despite being a heavy bike, I really like it. Mine came with a slightly bent real axle but it will only be noticeable on coaster on downhill when I am not peddling. I will live with it.
Try calling Pacific bicycle to see if they stock it. If you're looking for a bottom bracket, try a different model that's the same size, old style I believe. Mine is going out also. Might also try greasing the bearings
These bikes are crap, built poorly and made of cheap materials, and you ABSOLUTELY CAN NOT USE IT ON A TRAIL. I hate how it is advertised as a mountain bike, when it gets absolutely mangled when you go over a couple of curbs. I also saw Sam Pilgrim ride some of these as a challenge and the chainrings broke, the stem broke, and the wheels broke
I've rode it over light trails. It's a good value for what you get. I've jumped numerous curbs on it. Yes I know it's a piece of crap but it gets the job done. I like it better than my expensive bikes
@@sokritlun1624 I have had it for over 6months and rode it almost at least twice every weekend (~10mile each time) and I can say if you have it's gear tuned correctly it is a great commuter bike.

Do you know what the size of the stem is?
No idea but this is a one-size-fits-all bike. Just sit on one at walmart and see if its comfortable.
boring do not watch I have the same bike and I’m upgrading the stem and handle bars. But I found the measurements
Are these tires road tires or trail tires? Or hybrid? It’s marked as a mountain bike, but it’s debatable lol
They have tread like a trail tire but aren't really great on trails
