I was totally distressed when I saw the box delivered. I thought it would be pre-assembled. Thankfully I found your video, it’s a lifesaver! Thank you so much!
So, here it is the COVID time and everything is shut down, and the walmart box said I could watch the "walmart bike crew" video, which does not exist. Thankfully I found this, and got educated on how to assemble the bike. I would have been lost, honestly! Thanks so much for having this up here on UA-cam land.
Walmart bicycle can be decent if assembled properly. I found that having a cheap bike is a great way to learn more about bicycle as you gain experience handling the bike parts.
The biggest issue I have had on Walmart bikes is the bearing preloads are set too tight and the wheels need truing out of the box. Assume the derailer(s) are not set properly either luckily these bikes are simple and easy to work on if you are mechanically inclined.
Man you're awesome. Dude when I opened the manual and saw all the steps involved, I almost had a hard attack. Some steps are already done but its listed on the manual so I kept on looking for them until I realized it's already pre assembled. Thx a lot for this easy to understand video 👍
as a single parent that has little mechanical abilities, thank you for this video. I was able to put both my boys bikes together and they are very happy.
THANK YOU FOR THE AWESOME VIDEO! I just bought a brand new bike for my daughter in a box and had NO clue how to do this. It made me feel much better and less scared to assemble!
you did a great job explaining everything. at first i was a little worried about getting this bike pre built after hearing horror storys. but now im confident i can put it together myself. thank you!
This is a great video. Now I understand why my daughters front wheel came off while she was riding it. We did not receive the hook washers with the bike. I will be looking for those now. I bought 3 of these bikes and didn't know they needed them. Thanks again this was extremely helpful!
Thank you. I just ordered this bike for myself. I'm under 5" tall, so I thought this bike at this size would be a good fit for me. My bike will be assembled at the store, but I will use your video as a guide to know that it was assembled properly.
Excellent video, Walmart should pay you for. As a professional maintenance mechanic I will give you an A+ by using the right tools. When I went to trade school, we weren't supposed to use adjustable wrench. Also lubing the fitting parts makes a perfect job.
Glad I found this I wouldn't have thought to look and see that the bike came with the fork backwards. Will only turn one direction to correct. Other things. A 9/16 socket wrench fit the 14 mm seat bolts. Find a gorilla or weight lifter to get out of the box.The tire arrives wedged into a peddle shaft. Apply slow even pressure, wiggling to avoid bending spokes to remove. Buy a set of Allen wrenches! Thank you I was stumped on how I was going to get the brakes corrected, also installed backward. A black fine point Sharpie worked to cover factory scratches hidden with wrap over handle bars.
Thank goodness for you and for making this video! I suck at assembly and what probably would have taken me several hours to do only took me one and a half because of this
You did an EXCELLENT JOB IN DOING A TUTORIAL !!!! YOU TALKED AT A NICE PACE AND YOU GAVE VISUAL CLOSE UOS !!! JUST A ALL AROIND GREAT JOB I WAS ABLE TO ASSEMBLE MY BIKE BECAUSE I THOUGHT WALMART WOULD HAVE IT ASSEMBLED I WAS PISSED SO I ROLLED UP MY SLEEVES AND GOT IT DINE WITH YOUR HELP!!! LISTEN COULD YOU.DO MORE ON ADDING ACCESSORIES LIKE WATER BOTTLE AND AND JIST EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS BIKE THANKS AGAIN
Thanks for this video! When I try to reattach the noodle on the front wheel, its making the brakes clamp on the wheel already. Did I do something incorrectly along the way?
It is nice to get the metal brake handle that came with the bike. My grandnite peak came with plastic brake handle and it felt really weak. I had to adjust the angle so they won't break when I transport the bike laying it down in my car. Purple frame, white shock housing, and chrome fork is a strange color theme.
thank you! I bought a bike headed delivered to my home and decided I was going to put it together myself the book and the directions are so confusing, I was going to call Walmart and see if I can bring it back and have them assemble it but now after looking at your video I know that I can do it..thank you
I worked minimum wage occasionally called on to assemble stuff in a department store 45 years ago. I doubt much has changed. You don't want the store assembling. The stock "boys" have no better idea than you how to assemble but are very adept at hiding what they break, bend and scratch attempting to do so.
Thank you so much for doing this video. It was a huge help and very simple to understand!! Now I have to find your video on how to adjust the brake pads. LOL
Thank you for making my life easier. I am missing the headset assembly (only the bolt was in the box). It seems handling in shipping wasn't the greatest. I've already contacted the seller, but that's TMI.
How is the build quality of this bike, I have heard about poor welds, frayed cables etc since this is an older video has anything broken or been replaced so far?
Thank you for your video it cleared up some grease/lube questions I've had. I am curious however if the chain came lubed out of the box or if I need to buy some like the anti-seize. Also are the bearings in the headset pre-lubed or dry?
So, it's been a couple of years since the video. How id this bike holding up? It should help having you watch over it with your bike maintenance skills. This bike gets no respect from many mountain bike riders. But some of us might just buy these for general al Are the derailures okay if properly adjusted as in your videos? Is the fork usable for general riding? Are the wheels and spokes holding up?
Jon Neet get a redline Zander. Best bike at Walmart right now that’s under 200. It’s is identical to a diamondback overdrive st, which has an msrp of $500. Currently the Zander is roughly 175
Is it mandatory to apply anti-seize grease, how long you think it will take if parts starting to get rust? Can I just apply some cooking oil instead? :)
Hi, I just bought the roadmaster granite peak 24 inches girls' bike.. I have a few questions. 1) can 200 pound ride the bike? 2) can a learner attach training / stabilizing wheels ? Thanks in advance.
Thank you for this video. I just wanted a bike to casually ride around on and not spend a lot of money ( yes I'm cheap). It's great to have a visual to compare and see if I was doing the assembly correctly. Have a like and a sub on me :)
I can't get the headset out:/I'm trying to adjust this type of bike after 2 years of use. I took out the middle pin but the shaft wont slide up. So then I loosened the base nut/washers and the shaft still won't budge. Grrr🙄
is anyone having issues with the steering? I have tightened the handle bars as much as I can yet when I ride the bike, going over any bump or turn, the entire handle bars steering becomes unaligned with the front tire and I find myself almost completely turned (handles) in order to be riding straight.
The allen wrench you need will be metric. I can't remember the correct size. The steering stem can be adjusted up or down, but you don't want to exceed the manufacturer recommended maximum height. The handle bars can be adjusted (rotated) to the position most comfortable for you. Let me know if you need more information.
I don’t know about anyone else. When I receive my bike the two nuts on front bike were super tight. Can I buy a new set for front wheel assembly just Incase if I strip the nuts?
I was totally distressed when I saw the box delivered. I thought it would be pre-assembled. Thankfully I found your video, it’s a lifesaver! Thank you so much!
I don’t think we would have been able to assemble the bicycle without this video, thank you so much.

Same herelol

Right, buy what can afford and needs. I have a more expensive bike, but am tempted to buy a Walmart bike for about 200 bucks. Just for the hell of it.
Agree. Also Schwinn and huffy have great waranties and customer service

Thank you very much for this video. I had very hard time figuring out how it should be assembled because the manual they provided with it , is bad.
Thanks for watching!
Lol you don't know how
At least you got a manual!😂
Man you're awesome. Dude when I opened the manual and saw all the steps involved, I almost had a hard attack. Some steps are already done but its listed on the manual so I kept on looking for them until I realized it's already pre assembled. Thx a lot for this easy to understand video 👍
Thank you for this video. My daughter received this bike for Christmas and you saved me a lot of time and drinking. 😎👍🏼
Helping my girlfriends mom install a bike tomorrow. Couldn’t find any other better informal video👍👍

Had trouble assembling the front wheel, thank you for this video.
Same
Thanks man after I stared at the confusing instructions I got I thought it would be best to look up a video. Great job 👍👍
OMFGGGGG This saved my lifeeeeee lol, Thank you so much, honestly tried to force the front wheel in but this video showed me how to actually do it

Your video was a lifesaver. The instructions it came with sucked. Thanks so much!

You give such clear and simple instructions! Thank you so much!
Very good instructional video, clear and concise!
thank you very much. just assembled a bike I got as a gift. took all day.
Thanks for watching!
Very nice video Pro all the way ! Thank you as I will be purchasing a road master this summer in NYC. God bless.
Saved me a lot of time and trouble. Thanks a lot !
Thanks for this video!
When I try to reattach the noodle on the front wheel, its making the brakes clamp on the wheel already. Did I do something incorrectly along the way?
Make sure you installed the noodle correctly, so it is seated correctly and not creating tension on the cable. You may need to adjust your brakes.
Yes I also made the same mistake
@@bicyclealley8183 you suck
@@bicyclealley8183 you're not famous 😂😂
Nice video. Installing the front tire, etc. was, and is, puzzling.
Bro, thanks a lot! Extremely helpful video! Enjoyed my bike ride today! 🥇
I looked at a lot of sights yours is the best very professional .... THANKS

THANK YOUUUU for being the only helped that worked 😭👏🏾
This Video Helped me set up my bike! Thanks!

Thanks for the video. I assembled my new roadmaster. But, I am confused which gear I should put the chain on. Would you help?
Thanks greatly. It was hurting my ego to assemble this bike looking at the manual in front of my daughter
Thank you!!!! The manual had me too scared to touch anything#
Thank you for sharing this video, it was very helpful!
Thank you, it was very helpful but my left brake came loose how do I fix it
This the plastic disc on the rear wheel below the gears supposed to stay on or is it part of the packing material??
Thanks, you made it very easy and clear

do you need the pedal tool?
nice video man. helped a lot. keep up the good work.
Do you have any advice on how to install the handle bars if one of the brake wires is twisted around the front?
Do you know where can we get parts for this bike?
thank you so much!you saved my life! :)
The stem binder bolt is too tight for my bike when I try to assemble it…any suggestions on what I can do?
if the tire rotation is the other way, does it do any harm? i can see on cars where it is bad but what about bikes?
Much appreciated bud thanks. Did just what I needed
I hate people hating on Walmart all the time
The hex screw or whatever on my handlebar is almost impossible to turn to adjust the bars higher. What do I do??? pls and TY!
Thank you so much for this ! Helped a great deal
Thanks for this video your the best !
thx for the video, i was putting 1 together & does the handle bar stem looks short or is it missing a piece?
Thanks for watching!
Dude, the print instructions weren’t helping me much. You saved my ass (and probably my daughter’s as well ;))
Thanks!
Great video!!!! In my case it was real helpful!!!! Thank you!!!
How long did the bike last? I read a lot of Walmart reviews saying that the tire bent or problems with the inner tubes.
Good video, very useful. Thank you!
I have a problem...the binder bolt on the handlebar is stuck and stripped how do I remove it? Also where can I find a new binder bolt!
This video was very helpful thanks!
Glad it helped....
Does it come with the anti-cease?
Thank you! I needed that video.
Thanks for watching!
Hi what Child seat is good for this bike?
I attached the handlebars as shown; unfortunately, when I try to steer, the front wheel doesn't follow. Any ideas? Thanks!
Hi, I just bought the roadmaster granite peak 24 inches girls' bike.. I have a few questions.
1) can 200 pound ride the bike?
2) can a learner attach training / stabilizing wheels ?
Thanks in advance.
1: umm sure but I recommend a bigger bike
2: yes but just get one with training wheels
I was hoping to see how you put the back tire on and align the chain.
Insert the axle all the way into the drop outs on both sides and tighten the axle nuts. it will align itself.
My chain slipped off, how do i adjust it when putting it back on?
Would a bike rack fit for this bike?
My front break is giving me a hard time. One of them is like nonstop close to the front wheel
How do you change gears ?
What is the silver color thing u applied on pedals and front handle.
What if I don’t apply it?
It's grease it's fine if you don't apply it but if you do then it will benefit you
Dude, you know where I Can download the Bicycle Manual ??
Cheap Walmart bikes are great. You just need to upgrade the seat and pad the hand grips
Thank you for this video. I just wanted a bike to casually ride around on and not spend a lot of money ( yes I'm cheap). It's great to have a visual to compare and see if I was doing the assembly correctly. Have a like and a sub on me :)

Umm. ...hi, I have the same bike but I can’t get the noodle back in after I installed the front wheel
Game pro omg me neither!!
I took off one of the brake pads to install the front wheel..
do u really need to udjust everthing or you can do it if u need to

I can’t get the handle bars to adjust with the 6mm Allen wrench. Not the stem but the actual handle bars. The screw is on too tight. What do I do?
Im having the exact same problem! What did you do?
Excellent video - thank you
Your hand blocked the recixing of the fromt brake. It is very hard for me to do

My son bought a mountain bike yesterday from Walmart the chain is coming off the high sprocket in the front and won't shift into 3rd,
Can I use LubriMatic White Lithium Grease?
I don’t know about anyone else. When I receive my bike the two nuts on front bike were super tight. Can I buy a new set for front wheel assembly just Incase if I strip the nuts?
how do I put the seat parts back together?
Jeremiah Sterling you idiot
Yoshi Egg lol how?
Thank you for this!!!
Why does the front tire have an arrow on it indicating Drive? What happens if the tire is mounted backward?
Thats a good question. It usually has to do with the tire tread pattern.
