- This is Rockstar's 2011 LA Noire. In the game you play as Detective Cole Phelps and later insurance investigator Jack Kelso. The story takes place in the late 1940s in Los Angeles. On this part Cole investigates the 4th creepy murder and has a creepy communist hobo as his main suspect.

The 1940s alexia
This case has some interesting facts within it:
If you miss the laundry tag evidence, Cole ends up requesting R&I for a missing persons report made within 24 hours and gives you 3 locations. One of them will be the Teraldsen's home, the other two would be an old man who hasn't seen his wife in 12 years and a 19 year old man who had an argument with his nearly 17 year old wife.
Driving the bus route has around 5 seperate dialogues between Cole and Rusty. Cole ends up being frustrated at driving the route and Rusty comments how this would be the Cole Phelps he'll come to love.
You can just drive around in circles at the bus depot until the bus arrives. It took me around 40ish minutes for the bus to get there.
Answering Bad Cop to Ackerman's first question reveals his motives, he hates women. Seeing them as something his body aches for but has no worth afterwards.
James Jessop's rank of Able Seaman does not exist within the US Navy, but it does in the Australian Navy, where Team Bondi was located. The insignia on his uniform marks him as a Boatswain's Mate 3rd Class. Other than that, the USS Indiana was not scrapped in 1947, but it was decommissioned that year.
The clue you ended up missing was the bartender Benny Cluff giving you information on the cab at the bar, but you got that question wrong.

@@theprofessional155in regards to the missing clue. If you got Benny Cluffs first question correct he would’ve given you the yellow cab number that the victim entered. Since you got the question wrong he never gave it to you and that’s why dispatch gave you the address instead

The correct answers that could’ve been made:
First question w/Lars: Accuse. It’s tricky because Lars is kinda sincere about his answer but the evidence to use would’ve been the bow rope found on Lars’ boat. It matches the coroner’s initial assessment of what rope was used on the victim so it would’ve provided a possible connection (albeit weak one) with Lars to the crime.
First question w/Benny: Good Cop. There was no reason to doubt his answer. Waiting a bit longer to see his posture and eye contact would’ve shown that. Getting both questions right would’ve given a 3rd question which would’ve been answered with good cop.
UA-cam will literally find anything to demonotize a video.

So many were in Mad Men.
There is this rap song that uses the three letters for Japanese people is this song Kenji by Fort Minor (formed by Linkin Park's second vocalist Mike Shinoda), in it the song talks about the history of how the Japanese Americans (especially Mike Shinoda's father and aunt) were being sent to internment camps during WW2 until the war ended. The song uses the J word several times but this was to describe what it was like at the time.

For the next case, when u have been at the crime scene, dont go to the bar straight away, go first to the liqour store and then after to the bar.
When u are at the police station, start interview J. Tiernan first and when u ask about the murder weapon, press bad cop, not lie. If u get any of them wrong, then u would have to start the interview all over again.
Yet another game you’ve inspired me to play, man. I absolutely love it. I actually reached Vice before you because of how invested I am in the game, although i sometimes struggle with the interrogations as you do. It’s my first time. The story is extremely interesting, especially with the group of Marines and the morphine and the Jewish mob which at the time appeared in to dominate LA

When working the arson desk, i would always take the fire truck, that was parked outside the station. Your partner would complain the whole time.

I was going to warn you in the comments in the previous case on the fact that this case has some very bad bugs that make it impossible to obtain clues.
If you go to the hobo camp as soon as you can you can’t question the sailor and the taxi driver will never show up on the map.
The first time I played this I only got 3 stars because I missed an entire part of the case.
Yep you are right, I just played this case today and experienced that glitch. It was annoying cause I had to do it all over again.
@@MicroWave233 Annoyed me the first time and when I looked it up I found out a lot of people who also ran into this glitch, not just a few but dozens if not thousands.
It baffles me that this got passed QA, and was also apparently never patched in later versions.
Imagine a Law and order game that plays like LA noire
In first question for Lars Taraldsen you needed to pick accuse and pick bow rope that you found on the boat outside of the house as evidence. Cole says that Lars was mad at Theresa for embarrassing him in front of his friends and he came back to strangle her and dump her body on the hill and Lars says prove it and Cole says Theresa was strangled with triple braid rope and that the rope on his boat outside his house is perfect match and Lars says that this looks bad but hes going to come to terms with the fact that he let her go.
Really love the effort you put on these playthroughs, it sucks that youtube appears to be programmed to try avoid some history context to make its content more "friendly", also love the cod ww2 playthrough series on that history regard. Personally don't mind the waiting for the next parts as the dedication really shows on each one.

When I played this game, I always slowed down from reaching the scene and listen to the intro music. Team Bondi created such an amazing game. Shame they were shut down

You should make a schedule for yourself on your play throughs like Monday LA Noire Tuesday for Fallout 3 Wednesday for cod ww2 and Thursday for ace attorney and Friday for watch dogs

Im thinking you should maybe do a livestream of finding all the cars in this game and you can find some of them throughout the game, but i will warn you, sometimes the civilian cars will be playing music on the radio so be careful.

I remember this case. There was supposed to be a sailor you could talk to in this case but I somehow completed it without ever talking to him, got all clues and questions correct. Odd guess that sailor is optional?
32:44: It was Lie with the rope that was cut off from the boat's stern as proof.
39:51: It was Truth because it appeared he was very familiar with her since he asked them if they came 'cause of her, so it stands to reason that she comes at a certain time and leaves at a certain time.
I'd like for you to explain the partner dynamic in police work, like why Phelps is the one interrogating and doing the talking for most of the game and not his partners. Is it because he is new to the desk and his experienced partner is overseeing him?
The only partner as far as I'm aware of that chimes in sometimes is Roy Earle which he only does if you answer correctly on some questions which is weird since if you answer the question incorrectly he just keeps his mouth shut and lets Phelps mess up even though he knows the right answer

Hey pro if you hold Triangle you can get your partner to drive which it doesn’t skip any important dialogue and will save you having to go into the menu every time u get in and out of the car so u dont get music copyright

One of the things that always bothered me about this case in particular… Cole says he knows Ackerman was in the Corps because they picked big guys for flamethrowers and that’s how he got the burns…. Most “big guys” have feet above a size 8… I’d wager most average guys have above a size 8… Check the cast of the boot prints, it would make evidence refutable. Albeit barely, but still refutable.

The answer to your first incorrect question was ACCUSE. The BOW ROPE was the evidence. You could have selected MUDDY BOOTS on Lars' last question and still got it right. The answer to your second incorrect question was GOOD COP.

I don't know that was the worst job in WW2 for the Americans. Pathfinders had insanely high casualty rates. I think something like 80% of them were expected to not make it. The job was so bad I believe it was volunteer only.

Some songs were written by the game for the Elsa(?can't remember, senior moment) character, so... I must say, I find it a bit silly: game dev's pay plenty to music copyright holders for the right to use songs so YT use should be ignored.

Oh man, been looking forward to the next video of this game for days Pro. Oh and that stinks about demonetization. Oh yeah and I think you already got the trophy where you knock someone out without losing your hat. You can also let your partner drive if you want by holding down the button to get in any vehicle. It saves you travel time. That's true, cops need a warrant to do a search, unless they're given permission. Didn't know Red Baron was WW1. I remember Snoopy had a persona called The Red Baron too lol. Ah, so since you didn't get the first question right with Benny Cluff, you didn't get the Yellow Cab 3591 lead from him. You probably still solve the case, but I imagine don't get 5 stars. Oh, he mentions him flagging down a cab and the operator mentions it too. So you're still able to find it, nice. That's interesting you were marked correct for Doubt when you're also correct for choosing Lie and Purse for Alibi when questioning Stuart Ackerman about his alibi, cool. I probably did the depot because I used the strategy guide and then online guides the the DLC cases when I got The Complete Edition. I didn't know about the novels either. I knew there were golden badges and film reels though. And having to enter every possible model of vehicle.
