2nd Generation 09-13 Mazda 3 Hatchback hatch release button replacement. Sorry about the annoying music LOL it was cool back then, just mute the video :)
Very helpful video, I was able to change the switch in less time I had anticipated. For other DIYers, there is a metal clip that holds the switch in place, you will need a screwdriver to pop it loose. The video posted was a bit blurry on that specific step.
Thanks. Process was easier than I anticipated. I did have to crawl in the back of our 2012 Hatchback to access small panel to manually open. The rest took about 20 minutes.
Well done video. Thanks for posting. Helped immensely. I actually purchased a Black CoCocina switch for 12.32. As one poster commented, i had to cut a very small channel of plastic from this switch but it was much cheaper than the $40 colorized version.
My Mazda 3 is now 10 years old 😭 The trunk release button is failing and this video is the tutorial I'll be following! Excellent, simple guide - thanks brother!
Love your work, mate. Just changed the hatch button on my car and your video was invaluable for getting the little anchor points out for the rear parcel shelf. Great video!
This mourning I replaced the hatch release button on my 2011 Mazda 3. Didn't think I would attempt to do it had I not watched your video. Super job. Thanks for the video.
This video really helped me out a lot. I managed to replace my boot switch because of this video you made. Thank you so much for making this tutorial video🙏🙏🙏
Thanks so much for your support in replacing the button. It was very useful; 👍 I didn't know how to change it, but following this tutorial made it very easy.
Thanks so much for posting this video. I don't need to replace my hatch release button yet, but I have a loose spoiler nut rattling around in there somewhere. I may need to remove the trim to get to it. Yes, I have already made sure to tighten the other nuts. (I deleted my other post - prefer to post in alias mode. Thanks.

This is the spookiest repair video I have ever seen. I keep expecting something bad to happen. But it did show me how to do this successfully.
Thank you for posting this! I would not have attempted to DIY this without your video.

Just did the fix. Worked great!
Thank you for that video! It’s invaluable! You helped me a lot.
Thank you for the video! I did it myself instead of paying some guy 200$ probably to do something that takes about half an hour
Thank you, sir. Job just completed in Argyle, TX - 02/13/24
Thank you! Cool video and very helpful. Mine came off just now. I broke some of the clips a little bit. Take care.
