8 perfect reasons not to listen to hacks who find negatives where there are none that would bother neither new nor experienced drivers. Know your car. This guy proves why you should never let a back seat driver behind the steering wheel
Styling, completely subjective. I love the back.
Gas and power.. I owned a 2018 6 w/the turbo 2.5 and never noticed much difference between 87 and 93 octane. Accelerated very well during all conditions.
The infotainment is all you need, no more no less. I hate touch screen set ups. You shouldn't have to focus much on the infotainment, and the rotary knob allows you to develop muscle memory on selecting options rather than falsely pressing buttons on a harsh road.
The rear suspension of the current 3 is fine. Can barely tell it doesn't have multi link.
I'll give you the rear seat room, it's a deal breaker for a lot of people. However for my family of 3, it's perfectly acceptable.
Rear cargo room is fine. Don't need much more. If you need more, get a midsize sedan.
Price tags are higher because the vehicle is more refined than a corolla. More reliable than a golf. No one needs the turbo, so you can keep the price down on getting the NA engine.
Home run!
I love how this comment is so well laid out. Home run
0:00 Not sure what to make of this video. I've had five Mazda 3s: one Gen 1 sedan, two Gen 3 hatchbacks, and now two Gen 4 AWD turbo hatchbacks. Is the car perfect? No, but then, no car is. It meets my needs and is still an enjoyable car to own and drive. And, BTW, the complaint about not enough room in the back seat is a tad overblown. I've had two adults riding in the back seat many times and they had no complaints. You get a lot of standard features for less money than what some other car brands charge. And the styling gets lots of attention and compliments. Say what you like about the Mazda 3, at least I don't have to worry about mine spontaneously catching fire, getting stolen and trashed, catastrophic engine failures, toasted transmissions, or ongoing recalls and class action suits. If you haven't driven a Mazda 3, test drive one. You just might enjoy it.
I just bought a 2018 6 speed standard Mazda 3 and I love it more than any other car I have ever had! It is a lot of fun to drive.
Biased nonsense.
Must've taken him really long to think of these 8 reasons
@@jerrybao1934 Perhaps he works for a Chinese car company. You could write a book on why not to buy a Chinese car.
So before I bought one I thought the rotary knob would suck. But after using it a bunch I know think it is just better then just having a touch screen. Not having to reach up and look at the screen to do things while driving is nice.
I was looking for a car with AWD good power can burn reg gas no CVT and cant be German. Almost forgot and be under $40000 Canadian. I can only think of one and I bought it and love it mazda 3 turbo sedan.
I have a Mazda 3 2020 and i love it. I would rather have seen you sitting in that car and talking about the cons rather than watching repetitive images that don't say much. Probably that car does not apply to your lifestyle and you should find something suitable. Good luck in search of your perfect car :)
I have one of these and they are a lovely car that turns heads. The interior is lovely even on the lower specs and the blind spot isnt really a problem. On the sport tech model you get a some great visual aids for parking.
The infotainment is an easy and fantastic set up and only seems to have one hipcup when it comes the andrioid auto app. This hippcup involves a podcast or Audible track coming on when your no longing listening to it everytime you turn the volume dial . This can be easly solved by going into the android auto app and unticking the various apps.
The sound is also great from the bose speakers set up with a subwoofer in the boot.
The video has a point with regards to suspension, i vot into a mondeo and secretly found that it had a much softer feel on the road. It is not such a big deal though and you soon forget it especially with the smooth gear changes.
The lay out of the interior on these is just gorgeous. Burgandy leather red looks f-ing awesome. I just wish in the uk you could get turbo versions.
Mazda 3 is a reliably good car with a distinctive look on the road packed with features.
I shopped this bad boy in 22. Nice car. Almost pulled the trigger on a sedan. The back seat just a tad to tight. Had to get a bigger car. I don't know anyone who regrets getting one. X
I regret only that I got the sedan and not the hatch (Ido have more space, but looks like I am still a hatchback guy). Except that, I love it, especially the interior, includind the infotaiment, simple and not clutered.
I have had a 2023 and now a 2024. Have goten as many compliments as my Miata. I enjoy the fact that I do not see one on every corner. I can fit a bike, camping equipment and drive across the state of FL with perfect comfort. This guy needs to get clue.
Do you shit money?
Why buy a 2023 one and 1 year later buy the 2024 one? How about driving a car for many years before changing it.
Let's stop buying it, Mazda will stop making it, then everyone will complain why Mazda stopped making them.
😂😂.
I'm fine with that.
WHY? YOU DON'T GIVE ANY REASON....

The blind spot C-pillar seems to be a non issue for owners! I have a civic and rarely rely on the ample rear visibility because is has blind spot monitoring, rear traffic warning, and reverse camera. You don't need much else!
Not convinced. I'm getting another one.
In my market, as well as the home market of Japan, the 2.0L engine is the base. My Japanese import is very highly specced but still only has the 2.0L not the 2.5L
Seems like this video was made by someone who works for Toyota or Honda.
Make sure your Mazda 3 has a "J" leading the VIN.
Yo, I love the styling not a problem for me
They need to get rid of the cylinder deactivation.
Love this video lol..my version of this is getting ripped apart haha. I LOVE my Mazda 3, but there are certainly some sacrifices, as you say. However, at 3:01, that's a shot of the engine from the 3rd gen 3, not the 4th gen lol. Ask me how I know - I've owned 2 3rd gens and now a 4th gen.
My 2016 Mazda 3 is on its 5th break down only at 91k miles. I’m probably the unluckiest Mazda owner in the world.
Yes to the huge blind spots. Also the back seats are pretty much for kids and pets only. So basically this is a 2-seater by design and only a 5-seater in a pinch. Definitely not for 3+ adults on a daily basis or for road trips. However, not much in the hot hatch segment nowadays: GR Corolla and Golf GTI or R are better but more expensive alternatives to the Turbo Mazda while the Impreza RS is a worthy alternative to the Atmos Mazda 3 with far far better visibility and rear space.
8 Reasons Why You SHOULD NOT look at Brake Bias video....................
Luckily i drive alone in this car. Driving the newest model Humora model 2024 Back seat is smaller. but how cares! There is a big blind spot. But if you use the mirrors and what helps are the warning signs. I have no problwm with it. The screen is usable when yuo drive it if you know how. And if you need the space in the trunk, buy a bigger car, so lot's of your arguments are bullshit. It's a great car and a beautiful car if you like a hach. And a good price for what you get. I'm from Europe and paid 29.000 euros for.it. and i love the new infotainment. Less is more. You dont need all that stuff.
Your talking rubbish
dead wrong .... do your research thoroughly ... turbo engines DO NEED premium and it's not a hp issue ... you definitely haven't driven a turbo car before ... lower octane no mean more knocking in turbo engines which hurts them
You can get away with 91 in a pinch when they don't have 93 but I agree with you. Also you don't really save anything by going to 87 anyway since it isn't gonna be tuned for it.
Generation before this one seems like the better car, pacticality wise, size and visability. I also think the black edition 2016's look nicer
The previous Mazda 3 gen had the exact same dimensions! It's still built on the same platform! Your point is mute!
@@ms.b9093 Not seen them side by side, but the rear and side windows look alot bigger in the 2012-2018 gen compared to the newest gen that has the big c pillars and small rear window. i'd also say the rear seat room is bigger for your legs in the older model
@@ms.b9093 Just checked the dimensions aswell the older car is bigger
Newest Gen:
Height; 1435mm
Length; 4460mm
Width; 1795mm
Boot space 351litres
Older Gen
Height; 1465mm
Length; 4470mm
Width; 2053mm
Boot space 364 litres
I can only hate on the rear space of the car. Hatchback isnt the best looking but honestly this video is just whining
