INGREDIENTS + NOTES:
#1 Homemade Cookie Crisp Cereal 0:47
1/4 cup (60g) vegan butter
1/4 cup (60g) cashew butter
1/4 cup (50g) plus 1 tbsp sugar
a few drops Vanilla aroma or ½ tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp applesauce
1 cup (120g) all purpose flour
1 cup (90g) oats
¼ tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2 - 3 tbsp non dairy milk
1/3 cup (50g) choc chips
→ yields around 4 servings

edit: PLEASE make a cereal video!! i love cereal sm, currently have 4 boxes in my room, would love to see yogurt O’s remade!! It’s a cereal from Trader Joe’s (the store i shop at a ton, and did when i was younger!!) and theyre DELICIOUS. Was one thing that i didnt expect to hit me when i first went vegan.

I love this recipe... and its the first cookie cereal recipe I'm actually interested in... so many of the others seem unnecessarily small or cutesie.. (that spelling and word probably doesn't exist) but even though these cookies are CUTE, its still a more practical size for a cereal, if that makes sense... So I definitely want to try these!!!! ALSO your channel has fast become a favorite Vegan channel.. i used to love cookie crisp cereal so this is perfect!! big challenge: try recreating “tresor”, so with some kind of chocolate filling. probably not as easy but i would love to see you try!💕🌷

this is a snack that i eat all most everyday it is a orange with tajin and lime and it is so good .
I mean, I was a kid -- but I LOVED this stuff! Every summer, we'd stay with my grandparents -- those were the only months out of the year we were allowed to eat the cereal (as our mom didn't want us to eat the sugary junk) -- so that made it even more special.
It should be noted their original recipe (introduced in 1977) was changed in 1997 when they sold the cereal to General Mills. As someone who was a kid before and after the switch, I distinctly remember being extremely disappointed (as were most consumers at the time). The og recipe was much better than the new recipe (in 97). Perhaps you tried the "new" version back then.

the best cereals to do would be cinnamon toast crunch, or froot loops would be cute! i also really loved reese’s puffs with the peanut butter chocolate flavaaaa

omg yes, I remember seeing that add as a kid and it immediately became my biggest goal to try them. They were really really expensive and we were on a budget so my mum didn't want to buy them, but one time she surprised me with them and I remember trying not to show my disappointment because they were so meh :') I'm going to try your recipe
I think a classic not-so-crazy-sugary (but still a good amount of sugar) cereal is Honey Nut Cheerios! I love the happy heart shaped ones

I think you can! Oat flour might draw more water so you might need a few more tbsp milk then

I feel like a better way is instead of rolling the cookies into individual balls, maybe roll a few long tubes and then cut it up into slices with a knife, this way you can get consistent small cookies much easier.

You may want to try sunflower butter, or tahini. Fellow vegan with nut allergies. It can definitely be disappointing watching the amount of nuts used in vegan cooking. Like the amount of cashew based sauces , which I have yet to find a good replacement for.
