I'm in the market for one of these. Initially I wasn't too fussed about engine size however reading on pistoneads, apparently the 4 cylinder ones are more prone to problems than the larger engines.
Hey mate hope you had a great christmas, i finally got my dream car nd was hit side on, and my turbos blew up, hope you have a good new year and keep the vids up
If you were worried about the smoke from the merc diesel wait till the valve stem seals go on it….🤦🏻♂️ great car I’ve got the same in silver apart from the VSS failing and it’s only a matter of time because it will happen….they are an awesome car!!
Happy New Year! You sold the Pro Ceed for £2100!!!! Bargain. I'm really happy with my current diesel car, the torque and turbo is always a laugh fast off the lights (not alll the time) but does run out of revs quickly. Economy still the winner for me as I do between 60-100 mile round trip on motorways for my daily commute. Look forward to the Leon purchase, I had a MK1 petrol in Platinum Grey, nice when clean is all I'll say! Much prefer the latest shape, especially the sportier 3 door. The MK 2 is quite bland inside IMO.
Most German cars seem to be bland inside, unless you buy the higher end models (which most of us can't afford lol) but I had a 1.6 Leon MK2 Sport for a while, and found that to be pretty nice inside :) as for the economy then I have to agree, I went up to Bristol in the Kia and it cost me around £40 there and back, I then went up in the BMW 2.0 Petrol and it cost me over £70 for the exact same trip! (but at least it didn't smell haha)
I have considered a Z4 many times :) But I just don't like the hassle of a soft top lol Although they are dropping in price everyday! so I may try One out in the future
Probably needed a few quid spending on it, just to fix the airbag warning issue, and it did need a damn good polish due to someone not cleaning off the bird poop, which left some real horrible paint fade spots! so yeah a fair price IMHO :)
@@SpectrePUBGM Lots of electrical issues, mainly interior sensors, such as seat belts and airbags, brake sensors fail, camchain tensioners are a huge issue, Vanos systems, peeling interior plastic, cupholders fail, radio pixels fail, the boot seals can leak, obviously oil leaks, these are just some of the more common issues. Great cars on a budget if you need a cheap run around car, but personally I wouldn't want another 🤣

What engine sizes are 4 cyclinders?

Hey :)
Sorry to hear about your side swipe mate :(
But hopefully the insurance payout will mean you can get something else exciting in the New Year!
Jeez! The car looks similar to the 2012 bmw 3 series apart from the back and the White lights obviously! It looks really modern for a 2005 car!
Yes the newer models don't really look much different, classic BMW looks 😁

Yes I got somewhat lucky with this One, but I stay away from BMW these days, far too many "Common Problems"

Another great review! Good tip on the bulbs I'll have to get some for mine. You should consider a Z4 I've got my eye on a 2006 2 0i

Budget Bucket List Cars And Bikes How much did you sell this for if you don't mind me asking?
In the end I broke even at £2550 which I thought was a fair price all things considered.
Not bad, a lot of car for the money!

Is it economical or does it consume too much gaz?
Not great on fuel, around 35mpg combined, but not really any worse than other cars in this sector 🙂
@@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes that's actually not thaaaat bad considering my moms CR-V with the same displacement does only 29 mpg uk
Which is more reliable between this and a Mercedes C class?
It really depends on how either car has been looked after and serviced? but if I was looking purely for reliability..... I would choose the Mercedes
E90 320i 2008 still good?
Good value, as long as all the "common issues" have been sorted already 😉
@@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes Could you tell me some common issues?
I know oil leaking is one of them

@@SpectrePUBGM No problem.... Good luck in your search 🙂
"Maybe had a fat wife" 🤣
Ive seen this car on sale for 1,500
Holding it's value then 😉
Wow
Had the same car and bought it on 54k. It's a money pot and a rubbish car.
I tend to agree that most older German cars can end up being a money pit, so many "common problems" especially on the Diesel models!
