@@ChicaLatina0071 By card there is almost everywhere a surcharge (2 - 5 % of your price will be add to your price). For us was easier to bring euro to Thailand (as they require to bring cash anyway) and then exchanging to baht along the way. The ATM will costs 220baht every withdraw so bringing euro in cash was the best way for us.

Have been to Thailand & other countries in the SE Asia, as well, during the last 25 years. Had been to Singapore & Malaysia, last month. Always been scammed everywhere, everytime, excepting Singapore. Once, a huge amount of cash was stolen from my hotel room, at Khaosan Road, Bangkok, over 22 years ago. Therefore, I do understand that, tips from a helpful locale, is a God's gift, no doubt. In fact my last visit to Thailand, almost 4 years ago, would have been cheaper & smoother, had I these tips & advice, as mentioned in this blog, then. Therefore, thank you wholeheartedly for this noble endeavour.

I used grab (motorbike taxi) a lot when I lived in Krung Thep. As well as BTS and MRT.
