So happy you are making this tutorial/explaining video. Every Eugen Wargame-type of game, I am trying to figure out what is NEEDED in a deck, what is currently OP (ie, people will be offended if you Don't have it in the current decks haha), what is Nice to Have but not crucial, and what is To Be Avoided. Another question I'm not gonna be the only one considering...when do you NEED to upvet, when do you NEED to grab the second card available, etc? Not gonna lie, deck building is a big part of the 'puzzle' fun in these games
@@Bandanner Indeed! Can't just copy paste the tourney players decks, bc patch drops during or right after HAHA! But you can still learn the principles and experience of play from it.
Glad they have helped, some might be a bit dated due to various changes over the course of Early Access but they should still give some basic grounding :)
Good stuff, as a rookie with Warno, this helps allot. Sadly there isn't a basic tutorial yet. Also campaign mode would be great to have. Would be nice to have a tutorial video from you how to play a basic game against AI for example, tournaments are a bit next level for me to start on.
They are going to add tutorials and the army general campaign mode to the game before final release. I have another video I did months ago which was a sort of getting started guide which you can check out. However I shall keep that in mind and think of what I could put together.
I'm trying to figure out what to do with these "infantry groups" and the new "gunners" units. Besides the small AT or AA manpad specialist teams you'd buy in the previous Wargame series (there were some small recon infantry teams also), there wasn't a precedent that I remember right now. Get another regular sized squad or put a card of these mini teams or gunners in?
This game is really hard. I just bought it and did the tutorials. First custom game I chose a very easy computer to play against and got my ass handed to me pretty bad. Definitely a huge learning curve I'd guess. Seems fun once you get the hang of it though
So while helicopters with the transport tag can be sold even with machine guns (no idea why they made that the exception). All the ground vehicles with any kind of gun are unable to be sold as of earlier this year. So not everything with the classification can be sold now. Saxon for example.
A PAINFUL thing I learnt when I started playing Warno (literally a few matches ago) was the range and how short range the infantry has. Maps are massive, I can't remember precisesly but in Steel Division 2, I feel like 2km meant something... xD LAWs here have 500m or 850m range and it's never enough for any form of attack (or even defense) against armored stuff.
Yeah for long range engagement infantry you rely on ATGMs of some kind really to deal with tanks. Laws etc are only really good for catching people out in forests or towns. Sound like you learned fast though ;) Interesting you bring that up, so back in Wargame and SD2 the scaling of the maps was different, so 100m in game was more pixels on screen in those games. In WARNO to also make maps "seem" bigger they changed it so 100m is shorter.
do you need to do something actively for the supply units to fill up ammo etc or do they do it atuomatically to the units that are nearby ? thx btw awsome video !
Supply units just need to have remaining supply and be within range of the units they are going to supply they do it all automatically. :) And no problem glad it's helpful.

Haha as it stands currently the meta units keep changing due to the fluctuating balance with it still being Early access. I know what you mean though.

Yeah Eugen games are a challenge once you get over the initial hump its not too bad but it can take a little perseverance.
Small correction. I believe all units classified as transports can be sold, this includes helicopter with guns.
