@@wigon but he works with them and at the same he saw their faces maybe even gain entrance to ther camps that person must be protected at all cost otherwise he will expose camp layout defences and strength of the officers
@@ghostshooter6242 Most likely the other Taliban already know his role as a liaison between them and American forces. ISIS I'm sure already knew who he was so it likely didn't matter whether or not they showed his face. As for the layout of the camp, when you're working with ANA forces, or have locals doing work at the base (which is likely to be the case), it's pretty much a given that a detailed layout of the camp will be given to the Taliban and ISIS. What makes this video unusual is that it basically shows U.S. forces and the Taliban cooperating against a mutual enemy. For many of the Taliban, ISIS is a bigger threat to them than the Americans.
@@wigon Yep. The Taliban were not our enemy to start with, only became one because they help OBL and Al-Qaeda . They are no saints, but it seems we have no choice but to try to broker peace with them to achieve peace in the area. Trump has been attempting to do that but then they go and do some stupid shit over there and mess it up for themselves. The whole situation is really complex in the tribal areas.
@@tar5us452 I don't think Trump has much to do with it, but at least he's not getting in the way. We've been trying to get out of Afghanistan since the Bush administration. The bigger problem has been that the U.S. military has been at war with itself. One one hand you have the "Hearts and Minds" officers and SF soldiers who really want to win over the Taliban to our side away from Al-Qaeda's influence. On the other hand however you have the majority of the military for whom "hearts and minds" means a 5.56mm double tap to the chest and to the brain. So basically you have had one hand of the military undermining the other hand. For example, very often in the past Special Forces and HTS (Human Terrains Systems) teams would spend months painstakingly developing relationships and alliances with tribal leaders after learning the local politics, economy, culture, religion, language, and world view. But then some new theater commander would get rotated in wanting to get some rank and kick some ass and would order an aggressive operation with conventional Army or Marine infantry units where they'd kick in doors, arrest people, and destroy all of those months (and sometimes years) of work that SF and HTS did in those areas. Finally we are seeing, out of desperation, the conventional military finally letting special operations run the show there getting themselves embedded within villages and communities. The conventional military sees Afghanistan as a lost cause. The Special Operations community sees opportunity now with the spread of ISIS, to win over the Taliban to our side and end the war. Notice on this video how many of the SF guys walk around with no body armor. That demonstrates to the locals their trust in them. So oddly enough....all these years later, we MIGHT actually be seeing what should have been done years ago.

That part of the world is beautiful. It's unfortunate that the Middle East and surrounding regions have been a place of conflict for ages, and likely won't see lasting peace for a very long time. I hope there soon comes a day where there isn't so much fighting, but it'll take a lot of work to get to that point.
Reminds me of Vietnam veterans said about the "progress" as reported to the public - "Oh, huge progress - we disarmed an explosive trap, we bombed out a stronghold, we had a succesfull skirmish with the Vietcong"... while the actual soldiers on the ground were like "Wait what? For that one bomb we disarmed, 10 others blew up in our face, the stronghold was 1 of 78 and that skirmish had no confirmed killed enemies" ... Awesome video. Anyone know the song played at 9:48 ?
Was wondering the same thing. Shazam wouldn’t find it
fucking send it and hot chow were my favorite things to hear down range haha
Ild burn the whole mountain with gel
9:55 what song is that?
Can these guys get a round of applause 👏for the great choices of "hardware/tooling/lifesavers/boomshakalakasticks" !!!! Up to par with they're training/service/skills/badassery of course!!! Salute!
All in vain
That part of the world is beautiful. It's unfortunate that the Middle East and surrounding regions have been a place of conflict for ages, and likely won't see lasting peace for a very long time.
I hope there soon comes a day where there isn't so much fighting, but it'll take a lot of work to get to that point.
Now the Taliban have it all back. Waste of time
Fantastic video , best I’ve seen . Well done
War is won by results, not by prolonged/fancy operations. This is a case of tha later.
Thanks Guys.
Name of music used in the video please?
it's the most American thing ever to put subtitles over the dudes speaking English but not the ones speaking Pashto
Thank you for serving our country!! God bless!
thanks for video
How much does terrain denial actually do in Afghanistan. Seems like a waste of ordinance in my opinion. Save the bombs for ISIS, Taliban guys themselves
Plenty of ordinance. TDFs are essential for keeping ISIS and TB from encroaching. Worked with these guys fro OCT 19 to APR 20

These brave soldiers are suffering because of former US governments!
Sad to see these bravehearts away from their family,kids....
They also chose to be part of this soo..
Yes, of course. _Former_ US governments, right? ;)
@@Snagabott congress and senate - some of them have been in office for three---four decades
Former? It's Not one Administration that fucked this up its many. And it's never going to get it fixed if we keep spending money we're bitching about like we're on a Witch Hunt that ends up just being a jackass just chasing a carrot.
Fuck these people. They are fighting for evil corporations and destroying civilizations, they are nothing but stupid brainwashed bastards who were most likely born out of wedlock
This video is amazing
Quality stuff right there
Can you imagine being a new ISIS member and having to go up against green berets and a combat controller on your first day of work? Scary.
2:13 That is a bad M.F. right there.
@@plutoisacomet Yes, really "dude". As a matter of fact, those soldiers have been doing their jobs for 20 years non-stop, but it's gotten us nowhere. Tell the numb nuts running the show maybe next time we can just wreck the place, then NOT spend 20 years handing out Band Aids. Fuck 'em!
@@billdanosky You are incapable of just wrecking the place, they don't have cities. You tried this in North Korea and now they're pointing nukes at you.
@@-BuddyGuy Yes we can, and we did. In the first two weeks of the Afghanistan campaign, the Taliban thought we had broken them. It wasn't until we started hanging around that they realized they could actually get at us. BTW, we didn't do this in North Korea and they don't have anything they can point at us.
@@billdanosky You "wrecked the place" with carpet bombing and they have the Hwasong-15. And if you did this in Afghanistan, as you just claimed, then why did you claim in an earlier comment that you should have just wrecked the place? Seems to me like a contradiction, and that you'll say whatever you think backs up the idea that the US is some unstoppable force, regardless of whether it makes sense. I made a mistake by wasting my time on someone of such inferior mental capabilities.
@@-BuddyGuy You can have the point for the Hwasong 15, although everybody knows it would have to be empty to make it here. However, I stated earlier (above), "maybe next time we can just wreck the place, then NOT spend 20 years handing out Band Aids". If you can't understand the meaning, I'm wasting my time on someone with limited reading skills.
Thank you
The best weaponry, soldiers and top of the art military technology in the World against some mountain rebels in sandals with AK 47.
And the result is ?
Ask Pakistan why they let the taliban take refuge
Thank You so much
You know you are a bad ass when you don't need body armor in a fire fight
Y’all are taking “coffee or die” wayyyy to seriously.
😂🇺🇸🤘
change voices a few semis... instant recall of folks from voice and body language is trainable for many and God given for a few...protect our guys. excellent show by the way.
Am I the only one who wipe my screen to remove that dirt on the lense?
Lolx same
See those kids will never forget us special forces and Afghanistan commandos salute to them..
I am super proud of your bravery and courage! Thank you and I love you guys!!
At 10:00 minutes in, what’s the name of that song!?!?.. 🤷🏻♂️
God bless our troops, Thank you for your service
Because roaming around in a primitive foreign country full of goat herders and killing them is keeping all of us over here waaaay over here. Ya over here safe. Uh huh. MuRICA!!!
what service??? You realise that the Taliban defeated the Americans? would have been better staying at home and protecting the school kids from other school kids with guns

I’d love to hear your take as a former ranger bat guy on how it was imbedding with sf and seeing the way they operate. Obviously I’m sure you’ve seen it before, but it’s different being a fly on the wall vs running ops together in battalion
I grew up being a ARMY BRAT, So I was born in that shit......Never thought I would be killed..…..Was wounded, lost my R-Leg, But still...... It was the best job I ever had... Ret. Airborne, Reservation, S.D.

Thank you for your service

So with absolute disregard this video shows all the people working and giving valueable information to where the enemy is without blocking out the faces of the informents?
You say that like it isn’t already a well known fact who is who amongst those present in country. Our guys are covered, you left this video having as much knowledge about specific operators as you came with. As for the informants, you left this video with little to no information that would give you any sort of identification or location to those persons that you wouldn’t have had from any other open source.

Thank god for real men like our special forces. True badasses
Vietnam helicopter tactics would have worked so well in the mountains of Afghanistan. It seems that military doctrine is always wrong in EVERY theatre of war, from Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Somalia, and now Afghanistan. I think it is the US military that needs to look at and inside the US military.
The award of coolest moment in this video goes to:
''Hey, he said fu*king send it''
*goes full auto ratatata*
I would sometimes think these special forces unit are unfortunate to be where they are and had to do, for the sake of our freedom. in constant danger and far from their families and loved ones. On the other hand these are exceptional soldiers Who loves to do what they are called to do. The adrenaline experience keeps these guys going.
My son said he came across a soldier from an sf unit in the airport. I'm not sure how he identified him but said he was cut tight and dressed sharp, looking for all the world like he could walk through walls rather than bother with a door.
Highly impressed, my son gave him the up/down to check out his uniform and take in the sight of this impressive looking character.
That's when he noticed the guys fly was down.
Nothing can humanize a guy like a downed zipper!
