Someone compared the old Kronos to the Nord Stage and the Nord piano sounded nicer and brighter to my ears with string resonance. Now the Kronos also has this it is a point in its favour given its other functions. So Korg have listened to their customers and watched the competition.
I just recieved mine and the entire bottom of the Kronos 2 is made of wood too, not only the sides :) But yeah looking analog in the air these days ... is it here to stay? Personaly I couldnt care less about the look, since the sounds are amazing !!!!!
+arale2k Kronos 2 is a well built machine. Its meant to last. If you open a tyros 5 or a korg pa600/900 you will see what i am talking about. I would accept heavy well built quality machine like the kronos 2 to any cheap plastic. Its a better investment.
quick feedback, last week the keyboard stand I was using, collapsed under Kronos' heavy weight. X shaped keyb stands can't take the 88HH load. Yesterday same thing happened due my own stupidity. same result, Kronos survived with just a few additional scratches but it works normally and looks a little more vintage now :D ... and I got a Roland stand Z stand :p
Andy is a dumbass I'm sure he always misses the bus you didn't hear him say anything about the OS upgrade and new sounds helps when you pay attention dumbass
It came out in 2011 & it's now 2016....and there won't be a "Kronos 3" for at least another few years...IF there ever even is one. (and by installing free OS 3.02, you can upgrade a Korg Kronos to Korg Kronos 2) So does it take you 5-8 years to take a keyboard out of it's box? LOL.
It's 2021. I just purchased a Korg Kronos. They did come out with a new model, The Nautilus and it's a downgrade based on the Kronos (without the Karma engine).

As much as I'd love to buy a Korg, the second I take it out of the box they will have a new model out.
