Hey guys, UA-cam have recently implemented Dynamic Compression into videos on the platform. Which, as a Video Producer, is a total pain since it destroys your audio mix😩 But if you want to hear the video without the UA-cam Compression hit the settings 'cog wheel' and remove 'Stable Volume' to disable it.
Having owned a Linndrum for quite a few years (always regretted selling it). This sounds awesome. Hats off to Behringer. This thing sounds phenomenal and I’m definitely getting one. They’re really stepped up to the table with this. Well done guys 👍🏻
Oh yeah I regret selling my LinnDrum over a decade ago, but I never liked the buttons which would often double trigger. Can’t wait to get my LM Drum hopefully next week ❤
This sounds beautiful !!! And it's not locked into any single genre. The functionality is well thought out. I cannot wait to play this one. Outstanding job !!! And great demo clip !!!!
That drum break he records in hot at 15:30 is a classic Steve Gadd groove, and as a diehard drummer who also loves their drum machines I LOVE this sample choice so, so much 😍
Great break indeed ! But my guess the Compressor sent on that pad was on - would have been getter to hear the sampled sound without compression added just my 2sents
Well spotted bro, you know your hiphop breaks. I enjoyed using that one, Steve Gadd is ultimate classic, I had it lined up next to the Meter man break also legendary, but Gadd won the day 🙂
Thx for sharing 🔥 Steve Gad , wonder why he even looked at drum machines 😊, his timing has always been impeccable 🙌. But then, he also is a true open-minded professional, more interested in getting great musical results then boosting his ego ...
This is easily the most compelling project Behr's worked on in a while. Their other clones are interesting but everybody can use an intuitive drum machine, especially when it has the chunky, charming sounds like these.
That sampler is crazy!! I'm already thinking of making loops, running through the sampler, recording them back into my DAW, and having those old school warm, crunchy, 80s hip hop samples.
@@BullyMaguire4everthat’s like 90 seconds of sample time. Are you telling me that you can’t make a beat with 90 seconds? People pay $5k for SP1200s with, what, four 2.5 second banks? This is only a limitation if you only buy gear based on the numbers on a spec sheet.
The Pro 800 will arrive at my house tomorrow. This LM drum is next on my list. What a combo that'll be. Years ago when I first learned of the Linndrum, I immediately knew it was an unattainable device but enamoured by it anyhow. I'm so glad Behringer decided to make it an obtainable reality again. Thanks and thanks Patchdog for the instructional. ❤
I think this is going to be product of the year. Seriously, cannot wait until mine arrives :) 🇦🇺 Also for anyone “whining” about Roger Linn. He “respectfully declined” the initial offer to collabore.
Yessss the round robin hats while using the LinnDrum sample sounds like something I'd have so much fun playing with! Just give the groove that extra bit of life
I don't know if I can justify another drum machine or sampler in my setup, but this is the best one I have seen in years and years... Pretty much the best drum machine ever.
Well done Behringer. The LM Drum looks and sounds fantastic, and just as important, easy and intuitive to use. Another banger. Amazing demo Patch Dog. Thanks Uli!
That's the best drum machine that has ever come out in the last 10 years. I can't wait to grab it and pair it with my UB-Xa to get that "Doves Cry" sound.
Where the heck did you order from? My preorder still staying it’s a preorder with no updated information. I was assuming best case scenario would be the end of January, but was assuming it would be sometime in February. This is the first I’ve heard of people saying there’s is actually on the way.
With the sampling feature and If the DAC crunch every wav we put in this... it's a very good thing, because it's the main feature of old school sampler, crunching every drum we put on it and make them massive and catchy.
Mtume or Notorious BIG.... JUICY at 11:55 ! A new drum machine sampler with 8/12 bits dac, so now I'm ready to die with my empty wallet ! Btw, great presentation my dear Patrick !
The mixer is such an overlooked thing nowadays, although it makes so much fun and creative options. Nice machine, will acquire one sooner or later for sure. And this WaveDesigner section is really good imho; I have only an RD-9 in terms of drum machine, but it drives the whole beat if I start to fiddle with it... that's a nice simple Behringer addition, whomever idea and design it was, congrats!
See, B deserves a high five for this because the Linn Drum has been discontinued for decades. Plus there’s a bunch of intuitive bells and whistles that, as long as the item is predictably affordable, should prove to be a highly popular doodad for musicians and producers.
Oh yeah. It's on now. All other new drum machines just got pushed back. Patrick always come through in the clutch with a masterful demonstration. Can't wait to get mine. 👍👍👍👍👍
I have questions: 1: Does it have swing? 2: Can it sequence off-grid? What's the note resolution? 3: Can it do Trap hihat rolls/ratchets? 4: What is the maximum pattern length? 5: is the "Synthtribe" app screenreader accessible? 6: Does it have a song mode/patern chaining?
