Just found your channel, I'm enjoying your content. Thank you. Instead of redoing the static mix, sending everything to its own bus and then turning them all down at the same time and the same amount, wouldn't that work? Then you wouldn't have to change compression settings and so forth. Yes, no? Thanks.

Thanks Brian. That really means a lot to me because I really want to help others avoid some of the pitfalls and problems I've gone through.
About your question: Yes, routing buses and individual tracks as needed to a final bus and turning it down would eliminate clipping just like turning down the Main fader would. I'd still worry that something internal might be getting overloaded, although I've read digital clipping isn't a concern. You got me thinking, I'll have to test that out: can I clip signals within the DAW that cause audible problems without clipping at the Main. That's a good one to try. Thanks.

@@jhughsPresonusStudioOneTips not entirely sure how it works or if it's accurate, I saw a video about 32 bit float that said the internal clipping in studio one isn't an issue because the headroom is so high. Again, not sure if that's accurate. I'm computer stoopid so... Yeah, let me know if you figure that one out. Thanks again.

Yeah, I put hi-pass filters on everything that doesn't have a place in the low end, even cymbals.
