1. remove the bottom shelf of the Samsung french door refrigerator. *Once you have loosen the shelf, now rotate the shelf 45 degress from the left side to pull it out.
2. how to remove the glass from the bottom shelf, becareful you might break the glass. The glass has two clips that can be removed. Flip the shelf over and push on the clip tabs to release the clips. After removing both of the clips, hold the glass and rotate the shelf for a second time. lift the glass slightly and pull out the glass.

1. Remove both fruit and vegetable drawers. To remove the drawers, angle them slightly toward the center of the fridge as you slide them out.
2 Next, Locate the tabs on both sides of drawer divider/water filter housing. 3 Press in on the tabs and separate the shelf from the water filter housing.
4 Now, remove the shelf by slightly lifting up as you pull it out. TIP: It helps if you angle one side of the shelf downward as you pull it out of the fridge.
5 Locate the shelf glass retainer clips. The retainer clips are located on the back left and right corners where the glass meets the white plastic.
6 After carefully turning the shelf over, and placing it on a clean flat surface, locate the tabs that hold the retainer clips in place.
7 Lift each of the back corners (one at a time) of the shelf and gently push in on the tab that is holding the clip in place. NOTE: Only push in on the side of the tab that is closest to the center of the shelf.
8 Once both clips are removed, gently raise the shelf and then separate the glass from the shelf frame.
9 Clean the glass panes with water and a mild detergent or glass cleaner and wipe dry with a clean lint-free cloth. 10 To reinstall the glass shelf, repeat the previous steps in reverse. - Навчання та стиль

I’ve had this fridge for 2yrs and could never figure it out. Finally it had to come out for a good cleaning. Thank you! I did break one of the glass clips. The really need to make this easier.
Glad I could help! Those clips are less than $5 if you want to replace them, but you might not need to. One clip would probably hold the glass in place.

@@shamilton7 hi.. you can look on line. If you have your manual it might have the part name and number. You can do a search on Google. Search for "samsung shelf glass retainer clips:.
One thing that I could add, if you can't open the doors 100% the shelf jams up if you pull it straight out. If you try raising the front of the shelf up slowly as you pull it out and then turn it sideways to remove it and do( front Up and twist sideways) do the same in reverse. This worked perfectly for me AFTER the Samsung rep told me that my model could not be removed for self cleaning. The video they have shows squeezing the buttons in middle, but your micro screw driver tip was exactly what I needed for mine. I chose to leave the clips off when reinstalling so I I have to do to clean now is push the glass up from the bottom and slide back a little. Just be careful reinstalling so you don’t drop the glass out. Or just put the plastic framework back in and put the glass in after.
This is exactly what I did!! Now I’ll be able to clean it more regularly without all the hassle 🙏

Grateful for your time and effort in putting together this valuable piece of info.. I did break one of the glass retainer clips. Thank you for your opinion on not needing to replace it being it's only one of the two. However, if it's easy to get, I would order one just to be on the safe side.

Esteban, thanks for your video. Getting our shelf unlocked from the tabs took a lot of effort. We had to push both tabs in with bigger screwdrivers to get the shelf to release from the water filter unit. We would also recommend pulling the refridegerator out from the wall to allow the doors full swing and also removing the next shelf up as it is a real squeeze to get the shelf out and in again. Agree, samsung should have simple button to remove shelves/glass, etc.
What model do you have? we can try to find the Manual and see if there is some instructions on how to remove shelves/drawers/etc for the particular model that you have.
@@estebancarrillo6103 it is a 2016 so I guess I am lucky it still works. Model number RF28 JBEDBSG/AA I have watched utubes abt how to remove that glass but invariably the poster calls for extra hands to get clips unfastened. I don’t mind breaking the clips but the water filter is attached somehow and I dont want to break that. I love the configuration and think it is a very good looking refrig. French doors with a pullout drawer under them. Thank you for responding

How do you clean the pull out drawers have cheese dropping inside the plastic drawer no visible signs of how to clean the bottom drawers
Dat.is.a.great.question. was thinking about using a straw cleaner brush.. since it's flexible and it can bend and you can get into dose cracks and bends. There are different sizes .. just make sure you get the right size.

I had to call the company on delivery day because we couldn’t get them out. And then we couldn’t get the top shelf back in. I almost sent it back. Very inconvenient when it comes to cleaning. The plastic is so cheap I’m afraid to break it while trying to clean it.

I cannot get the shelf back in!!! I’ve tried every damn angle there is. I struggled to get it out as well
you did remove the top shelves? These shelves are a tight fit. I had to wiggle my way in to put the shelve back in. especially when trying to relock it.
Hi, do you have a video showing how to remove the shelf above the bottom one? I can't seem to remove it at all, it just locks in at the back and won't come out!
You might have to push back a tiny bit to release it. Any locking clips? or just the hooks? what model of samsung do you have?

😱 the tabs broke? Or the top shelf or the filter unit?
Not necessarily a big deal if its the tab holding the glass in place. One of the tabs broke the first time we had to do this and to be honest its not a factor. Just have to remember the tab is not there and be extra careful when removing the shelf.
