I think CHEVY will be regretting their engine choice in the near future
Decent looking trucks, but GM made a huge mistake with the body style option. Look around and check out how many current-gen Colorados and Canyons are extended cabs. Almost all trade workers and company trucks seem to be extended cabs. This is because they're cheaper, and most of these trucks are used for actual working instead of taking the family out to the mall. Also, since the people who are driving company vehicles actually do work, they tend to utilize the full 6ft bed. Also, I have an extended cab 2016 Colorado because they're sleeker and weigh less (and cost less). I really think Mary Barra was counting too many beans on the day she killed the extended cab models of these new trucks, and that will push thousands of potential customers to the Ranger, which still offers a full bed and a cheaper extended cab option. How is GM supposed to (finally) dominate this segment when they get rid of the body style that brought in so many customers? And sadly, it's all because GM wanted to save money by limiting our options. ONE engine. ONE bed length. ONE cab configuration.
nope I won't switch from my 2021 I don't think you can put a supercharger on a already turbo motor. mine is lifted dif dropped peak booted and supercharged. I don't think the new one offers me anything I want. the new interior doesn't excite me it looks like my large drinks with straws in it will poke my arm. I like the old lay out where my arm naturally rests and my hand on the shifter it is ergonomically correct. I don't like the little round vents on the A/C and the little slit in the middle, it doesn't look like it has as much flow capacity and i had those old round vents before they suck, and you don't have as much ability to aim them. I like my 4x4 nobs hidden like they were so some fool cant Easley reach them and turn them on me aka kids and idiot friends. I don't like push button start if the button goes out what then with a key you have manual control. the 5ft 2 in bed sucks. I have an extended cab I don't want a crew cab where I come from, we call that a bitch truck it for picking up kids I like a man's truck not a school bus. they say it wider, mine is wide enough it i wanted wider I would have got a full-size raptor. I do trails and wider is not better when up in the mountains and the new one is 549 lbs. heavier. that is not good when is soft areas and hill climbing. the height and shape of the bull bar is hideous and the light bar going all the way down the bed is ridiculous you won't be able to reach any thing in the bed from the side. there are a few things I do like on the new one like the compartment in the tail gate the extra tie down points, the front camera the buttons on the steering wheel and rear shock placement. but the fact it will be longer and harder to turn around tight turns really sucks .. They say GM listened to people but I think it was the wrong people they seemed to concentrate on desert running and I dare say a lot more people live and use them in mountain and hill areas then desert Runners. In the east you have mountains running from Georgia all the way up the eastern US and you have the Rockies running all the way up the middle of the US then you have all the mountains in California and all up the west. so, I think they missed the boat and talked to the wrong people . that's all I got to say about that
The 4 cylinder and front end are a let down. I'd rather have a turbo V6. I'll be keeping my 2021 zr2. I do like the higher lift and them moving the shocks on the outside to protect them. I don't like they made the truck wider. It's already large

@@Just_A_Gun_Guy why are you saying the 2.7l will need more maintenance? Are you just assuming it's because it has 4 compared to 6? It's worked well in he Silverado. In my experience, it has more to do with how the driver treats their vehicle that results in whether it lasts. Abuse it and treat it like a race car, and just like race cars... they'll break down and need repairs. Do regular changes and drive like a responsible adult and they'll last. It's how my 2005 colorado is still going great. I don't drive like I'm a Nascar driver though.... maybe there's that.
Nope, should have a bed big enough to haul things in it. These crew cab with tiny bed trucks make for shitty passengers vehicles as well as shitty trucks. Manufacturers need to start making pickup trucks again that can be used for doing what trucks are intended for. One can't even fit a bike in the bed without having the tailgate down. The bed should be long enough to sleep in. These types of pickup trucks have many compromises.
If manufacturers listen to customer feedback, why don't they ever listen to not using gloss plastic on high touch surfaces. It ages so fast and looks so ugly.

I pretty much agree but I bet the raptor will be 10k more also.
@@XjDrZ oh man, we can only dream I guess
@@mikemissouri5152 I agree with that. I could see over 65k for the Raptor
Going to wait at least a year
I’m still thinking about getting the first model against my better judgement 😆
In the east you have mountains running from Georgia all the way up the eastern US and you have the Rockies running all the way up the middle of the US then you have all the mountains in California and all up the west. so, I think they missed the boat and talked to the wrong people . that's all I got to say about that
Nice setup. I wouldn’t ditch the supercharger either 😆
I'm gonna wait until all the bugs get worked through before I move up to 3rd generation
That’s probably the smart move. I’ll get one right away and make videos of the issues 😆
I be tradin'.
Enough? The ranger looks like crap. Its so outdated and the tacoma is archaic.
Very true. I’m excited for the actual release
Heck yeah love it !!!
So do we. It looks great. I’m hoping for some decent fuel mileage
Should have had the 5.3 v8 option
That would be awesome
The 4 cylinder and front end are a let down. I'd rather have a turbo V6. I'll be keeping my 2021 zr2. I do like the higher lift and them moving the shocks on the outside to protect them. I don't like they made the truck wider. It's already large
I will be trading my 2021 in. Lol
@@cuzz2895 for me idk if I want to go from a 6 to a 4 cyl. Even though it has the same hp and more torque, a turbo will require much more maintenance and this new release will probably have some quirks.
@@Just_A_Gun_Guy I do love my 2021. It is by far my favorite truck i have ever had. I traded in my 2020 tacoma trd off road on this truck. I will definately give the new zr2 a little time to see if anyone has any major problems before i do anything.
I guess they feel that if you want a large bed you’ll go with a full size. I can’t even sleep in a full size bed, I’d have to jump up to an he truck 😂
If manufacturers listen to customer feedback, why don't they ever listen to not using gloss plastic on high touch surfaces. It ages so fast and looks so ugly.
