This was handled incredibly well. Skyler clearly has some mental health issues going on and Jamie’s kind but persistent conversation is top tier work. Whatever training these guys go through should be implemented everywhere
This Police Officer was outstanding. He spoke calmly, kept the exchange focused, and deescalated at every opportunity. I hope they use this as a training video, very impressive.
I just died when I read that and I had to come see if anyone else thought it was funny. That was genuinely my favorite part and I haven't even finished it yet!
Yes!! We see you Walworth Co. Sheriffs Office. If this interaction was any indication, officer (? idk his rank) Jamie is a GOOD COP. These folks were organized and methodical, getting the job done without needless escalation. Most of all, I heard a lot of calm communication in a tense situation (even through the initial adrenaline rush, he didn't let it control him), when 95% of officers/departments would be screaming their heads off and angling for their chance to give Skyler a beating. This officer is obviously a thoughtful person, also he mentions new training which they are getting and value implementing. This is what we need instead of police gangs and "ACAB" idiocy - level-headed well-trained officers doing their job effectively and with respect. This gives me hope.
@@r00pea definitely agree. I like how he said the new model is really good, but if everyone hasn't had the training yet, it can be awkward at first, so let's just do what we all know. The communication was excellent across the board from the responding officers to dispatch. Impressive.

@lilpenguin092 he was charged with fleeing an officer. Could you acknowledge that the guy was actually right about everything thing he said? All that gaslighting, and he only catches 1 charge and continues to call out what the cop are actually about way before they actually do it. Let's be honest with ourselves: Was this guy at any time an actual threat, or were the cops in ego overload? They destroyed everything he had in his possession that day, and he only got 1 charge. Do you not see how they tied him up and continued to show aggressive behavior just because he was trolling them? They never wanted to hurt him, but he was actually right about everything. We can continue to gaslight this young man for being mentally unstable or maybe step back and take a look at what he said and how it's an overall trend across law enforcement and how they treat anyone who won't comply. Again, I never once saw the "suspect " do anything aggressive or disrespectful once to any officer, but I did witness law enforcement being aggressive and rude to someone who was just having a hard time. Remember, this was all over an accusation of a speed violation, but I did see that charge on his report. Also, remember the officer were in fear of their life and had to destroy everything to prove themselves wrong. Do I believe that the young man could have dealt with this differently? Absolutely. I also believe that law enforcement can deal with things differently as well. He was right when he told the cop , just because you have a badge, you can write whatever you want on that ticket, and the cop responded, "That's right🤦♂️ Does ☝️ quote the officer made make you feel more confident in police ethics codes and comments like that should be addressed? I do get your point, and yanking the guys hoodie string out was nessasry as well. Mater of fact, it was so nessasry that they never actually committed him into a psych ward. Aggressively pulling of his shoes, and the young man never even shows any intent to harm anyone. They shoved his head forcefully down to convince you that he needed to be treated that way. Damn you are right ✅️ I will never question ethics when it comes to interacting with bad people like this: bad man, bad, scary man, bad, scary, bad man

Remember, this was all over an accusation of a speed violation, but I did see that charge on his report. @@Peridot420 Wtf is wrong with u? The cop did absolutely EVERYTHING HE COULD to solve this whole ordeal in a peaceful manner, as far as I could tell he was even willing to let the initial runaway slide and just ticket the guy for speeding! How could he possibly have known that he was trying to reason with someone who's got like 1% the IQ of dog droppings!?
Most professional and patient cops ever. Wow. Good job.
Cops were way too nice 👍
"Y'all got a combined IQ of 20"
Officer: "That's still higher than his"
These are some of the most patient and professional officers I've ever seen
Same. 'Jamie' tried so hard, bless him.
But I am not sure that this approach is really helpful vs. putting a lot more pressure on that guy.
Really? Pulling out guns on a guy for.... 72 in a 55? "Some of the most patient and professional officers you've ever seen"? You don't happen to take narcotics, do you?
@@grafzeppelin4069 Your whole account screams ragebait
Jamie is one awesome officer, comforting other officers, trying to relate to the suspect, and he gave him every chance to end this peacefully. Keep being this cool officer 🤙
Who else wondered how many times Skyler was dropped on his head as a child?!
More like thrown…
I think it was the eating of asbestos paint chips that did the most damage.
😂😂😂😂
Not enough
He almost seems TBI
Jamie is such a good cop. He really empathized with the guy instead of just doing the bad cop routine.
