I think it’s important to note that throughout this whole performance their in-ear monitors had cut out and they were going completely by the feel - outstanding

They have on stage monitors so they can still hear themselves.

This Radiohead at Glastonbury 1997 was voted as the best Glastonbury performance. Why it hasn't been released officially?. Audio and video quality is light years better than the previous uploaded versions!

radiohead loathed this gig i believe, there were massive failures on stage. the monitors cut out, lights cut out, all in all wasn't an enjoyable experience for them.

It's a mark of a honor to prefer a band's live performances over their studio versions, Radiohead has never let me down
Personally I don’t think they are as good these days. But back then it was amazing.

@@TheFlashSawyer That line really fits the mood for that evening in 1997. Radiohead had no IFB’s working so they basically had to do everything by feel.
It makes me cry. It's such a powerful moment. Can take you many places.

So weird to think of how many albums they’ve released now and yet you still see the same emotion we love now shine through
Classic British summer, Thom's in long sleaves and you can see his breathe in the air
Love at 1:52 when Ed's backing vocal goes completely flat and Thom just glares at him. I can't imagine trying to sing at all when you can't hear yourself.
When Thom gets a little grumpy, he exudes a pretty high level of "Music Teacher Sass". I recall another one where Jonny messed up the piano lick in the chorus, so he stared at Jonny and played the lick on his guitar the next line.
I suspect that Thom isn't always the best bandmate.
Karma Police is the great ballad from Radiohead
They expected heaven for this gig. It became hell filled with tech issues. Therefore it became a gig from heaven again...

I have somewhat rediscovered these guys. Absolutely amazing performances. Shows like this are rare these days.

This song got me hooked on their music all those years ago. OK Computer was my gateway and what an album it still is. Beyond all that, this is THE BEST VERSION OF KARMA POLICE!

I'll never forget when I first listened to this song and recognised the beatles sexy sadie piano instantly, this was the first radiohead song I ever listened to. This was a really long time ago, their music never ages

It was still pretty new, and I get you, that makes it kinda cool, you get the pure sound of the band.

1997 was the year Radiohead's classic"O.K. Computer"(along The Verve's masterpiece single "Bittersweet Symphony") overshadowed Oasis long awaited album "Be Here Now".
Didn't plan to watch these at Glastonbury this year hadn't really listened to them, but tried to get through the crowed barging through and this had just came on the lights and atmosphere was like nothing you would ever experience only at Glastonbury.. amazing band been a fan ever since
