- Introduced at the 2016 Geneva Auto Show, the all-electric Concept_One was the first car produced by Rimac Automobili of Croatia. A platform for Rimac’s unique electric drive technology, the Concept_One features advanced systems such as all-wheel torque vectoring, which uses data from sensors on the car to adjust the torque output of each of the four motors individually as it is being driven, giving the Concept_One better grip than conventional vehicles.
This example, the first production Concept_One built by PRIVATE COLLECTION Rimac, is regarded as the world’s first fully electric hypercar.
Allowing it to achieve both extremely high horsepower and balanced weight distribution, the Concept_One is powered by four electric motors, one for each wheel, mounted in the center of each axle.
ENGINE: 4 electric motors
TOP SPEED: 221 mph
HORSEPOWER: 1,088
0-62 MPH: 2.6 seconds

This looks so much better than the new model.
Why are there only 7 left? What could've possibly happened to the 8th one?
I’m guessing what he said happened to it in the video
Damnit Hammond, thank god he survived somehow.
One correction, he started his company by electrifying his Bmw e30 not an electric bike.
What started the fire? Batteries, if so how? Would a gas-powered car have done the same, it's hard to say? I need to learn more.
Beautiful car though.
Just assuming they're using lithium core batteries as most electric cars are now, search videos on how lithium batteries ignite and burn. They are extremely difficult to extinguish and very easy to ignite so it seems.
@@RussellRobinson971 if you’re comparing the combustibility of lithium ion batteries to other fuel sources, I’d say they are not that easy to set on fire. All you need to ignite gasoline is a spark.
Looks good but name is weird
Most inspirational story of a genius car maker from a small country creating the best all around most beautiful and technologically advanced car I’ve ever seen and researched! Maybe in another 10 years I will be able to purchase a 1st generation 2015 Rimac! If it’s that old then perhaps I can afford one…I will be 70 yrs old by then…but it’s my dream to own one! By far the best engineered car ever built! How proud this gentleman’s parents must be of their son! Truly a masterpiece!!! Gary Brent Mason
For those of us who can't make it out to CA before May, please do a Hypercar Exhibit mini video tour!
