In the world of HARMAN targets, BASSHEAD IEM recommendations are so precious. Thank you.
🔊 No prob🔊
50 shades of HARMAN
@@BadGuyGoodAudioReviews as a double bassist in an orchestra, I really do appreciate a well tuned bass head set. I don’t have one yet…but I’m eyeing a few of these sets. I may just start out with the 7Hz Legato with some good power and source and correct tips. Keep the bass going brother. Much respect
@@conroyscott2206the legato seems so perfect. I find it odd that there not as many iems in this price and tuning. I feel like there is a large basshead audience.
I like how bass is coming back now days, after being shoved under the carpet for so long, bassheads too need good quality iems and some manufacturers that actually listen to the community like this ones, deserve all the love they can get!
I never really considered myself a basshead in the past, I always thought my preferences were leaning towards neutral. After getting a pair of Maestro Minis for myself, I can safely say that I have converted into a basshead. Great video as always, HBB 👍
My wife is the basshead between the two of us, I bought her a Legato and she absolutely adores it without any EQ. Sounds like there’s a FatFreq Maestro Mini or SE coming for her some day. 😂
Bassy IEMs are just superior in my opinion. Amazing Video!
As a long time lurker of this hobby, I have found that I really appreciate your tuning/collab of existing iems to make them more fun and bring out the sub and mid bass! From high end to budget! Looking at you QKB x HBB
Thanks That set gets a lot of love. Will be my all time best selling collab pretty soon
@@BadGuyGoodAudioReviews it's no wonder man I love them 🎧💀
Love the QKZ HBB too.
Yep they are greatness
Because of the cleanliness of the low mids, I find that the QKZ HBB KHAN hit hard in my ears. I sure would be enthused for a Khan V2 one day, with a little bit better crossover slope/rise and a little more 35-50hz 😊
The punch and slam of a drum or break beat will never get old to me. I remember the times strolling through Long Beach, California with my dad.
Everyone driving impalas , astro vans, & old chevy pickups having speakers & subwoofers loud enough to make you think a concert was going on lol.
Majority of the time only hearing the bass lol, good times.
Love the aspect of actually feeling the bass hit your body when listening is something i'll never get over. Gotta love it.
Fatfreq really has come up to be the king of bass head tunings. Gotta respect what they’ve brought to the table.
They are refreshing. They have a whole musician line and others but the bass boosted offerings are welcome and done really really well
Both Maestro Mini and SE are Bass monsters. Love them both. Waiting for Michael Bruce’ Glamdring. Nice ranking as always!
I'm getting ready to sell off a few things to justify the Glamdring as well.
As a budding basshead, and someone who has the 7Hz Legato and loves them, I really appreciate this video. Thanks, HBB! I'm not one to EQ, but I have found with the right source and cable I can feel that bass in my seat. Spine tingling.
me with a salnotes zero thinking if I’m bass head or not ;_;
Thought I disliked bass when I first started the hobby, was a very analytical person. Then i heard the maestro minis, and was blown away... Great job Chris!!
I was listening to some audio comparisons (frgt the channel), the Maestro mini impressed me so much 😮. Bass sounds meaty, hard hitting and “SATISFYING”. It felt i need a basshead set even though im not basshead. After your approval Chris seems like legit buy 🙌🙌
Being a dedicated base head, however knowing my limitations, I have the Takstar - 2260, DEEP DARK and omnipresent. Most of my listening is done with your help to fine tune what to look for. Music , iem flavors, and general fun... Enjoy spending time here.
I was just searching for bassy IEMs, Then I see the notification. It’s a sign from the gods.
I love bass like you. My first HBB collab purchase is the Z300 and it did not disappoint. The Z300 has a lot of good bass! Thank you for tuning that IEM so well. Cheap, high quality, great-sounding.
I got it and it didn't fit me, it keeps falling out no matter what, this also happened for the waner, any tips I should try?
@@koyonari1843try the spinfit cp100 tips, I use those on the zb300 and they are really comfy
Total bass head!!! but I have to have clear sound throughout. Strong clear bass just gets the body movin. Best vid.
Final A5000 has a great low end, but it is treble-focused which was very well done...
Man, after many years of buying iem’s I realized how much of a bass head that I am. Without a solid low end, I am just not satisfied. Thank you for continuing to put out these lists, Chris. It really helps me make sound buying decisions!
Get the Legato!
Same here! Without good bass, I feel like something is missing.
a list like this is so helpful for just like me that so sensitive for high tone and Im still enjoying qkz x hbb👍🏻
LOL I love how you include iFi and eq for bassheads. Im glad you are talking about old stuff and not pushing all the new stuff that comes out. Really brings the hobby back into perspective by how old it is and how far its come
THANK YOU for saying ‘timbre’ properly instead of pronouncing it ‘tambor’! Also, great fun video. I have a couple of your basshead recs and love them all!
My Maestro Minis came alive with an Eros S 8 strand cable. What an upgrade that made the bass more controlled the mids have more flesh and the highs more sparkley! I am happy for now..
I looked up all the prices of the IEMs in this video , The only thing I can afford is the Legato 😄, But I am excited on your next bass head collab IEM , As I really enjoy the Khan bringing it outdoors and not having to worry about losing or damaging it due to it's affordable price , Thanks for the video .
Fatfreq came out of nowhere and are now seemingly dominating the basshead market, quite impressive.
Makes my day suck a little bit less when I see your videos in my subscriptions list...
With so many reviewers trashing the 7Hz Legato, I kinda forgot that HBB was actually a fan of it.
Anyway, I always appreciate these lists. I think I've watched the previous top 5 basshead video at least 10 times 😂
the maestro is actually on my end game list since it seems to fit what i want in sound. loving these top 5 style videos. it makes it easier to make a purchase with the explanation of each one.🤠
Thanks HBB for 7HZ Legato rec. Am sure that's the starting point for Bass-head IEM journey at the moment per price ratio with Mini Maestro
Nothing like quality bass! It makes all the difference in music...love the vid. Thanks HBB!
I bought the legato even after reading about people complaining about it sound muddy. I eq it for the treble but either way it’s an enjoyable set at that price point.
over time, I realized having at least one thing that just slams bass in your face is nice to have in anyone's collection. great video!
Good old days when bass is my friend and now, less bass really touch my heart with good vocal gain
Two FatFREQ IEMs there just solidify their position on being a basshead company. Thanks for the vid, HBB!
I mostly like classic rock and disco so bass is important to me. People shy away from that but I think they're coming around.
Still remember the earphones that came with sony Walkman phones..
Those with megabass on really shook my eardrums back then..
Been waiting for a video like this. The problem is some are unavailable and some are just too pricey. Maybe another with all affordable and available? Keep up the good work though!
I'm not a basshead person, but I love quality bass that enhances music......!!
Been a basshead since way back. In the 90s I remember sitting in the Lanzer Competition Audio Van, sporting 2 dozen subwoofers 4 different sizes, 15in,12,10,and 8, and each one had a certain frequency assigned to it, so as not cancel each other out. Frequencys ranging from 120hz all the way down to 5hz. Reached for the door handle about 3s in. It was like I suffered a concussion😂I am a proud owner of the HBB Khan, I EQ & amp this set and the results are somewhat familiar to when I sat in that van 30yrs ago. Great job on the tuning HBB 👍🔥🔥🔥
wow fatfreq there twice I thought I would be surprised but not really they are consistently the best and that boombox always incredible to see
Thanks. It is beach season so that 87 pound beast is out lately...disturbin tha peace
My first bassy headphone was from audio technica. It was the audio technica Ath WS 55x. That was a long time ago.
As a basshead myself, thank you!
Love the Legato. I tried my Kato last night, couldn't listen to them after the Legato. The Kato seems lifeless now😮
Ditto… I’m the same with my Fiio FH3 since my Legato arrived
An earphone with a nice bass without mudding is a must
Bass iems are truly a gift
basshead earphones would be fun to listen to every so often
Love deep punchy bassy sets when they don't overpower the mids and vocals. 😄
I don't like tooooo much bass when listening to music at home, but for commuting, especially on the bus, a bassy IEM makes all the difference
I love how the Maestro SE and Mini graph.
The legato really does slam.
Love the fact that you put a recommended chain up. So many reviews/lists neglect to include source gear.
Will always be a diehard basshead even while exploring other sets and tunings. There's just something natural about not having to think about the analytical side of well-tuned, audiophile sets and just enjoying the slam n jam of the drivers throughout your brain >:)
Never bored with ranking content
As a basshead, thanks for the recommendations.
Bass is how I've been experiencing music until I got the BLON BL03 😄
Bad guy is that rare bass lover audio reviewer
I get that bit of excitement when I see basshead in your titles.
Former basshead, not sure if this happens to everybody but the more time i spend with iems, the more I appreciate balanced tunning, but still with enfasis on lows.
Love those amateur reviewers who always talk about the "base". Thanks for posting this! Love the bass on your collabs.
Wow! Legato, I didn't expect it... That very promising Sony Ex series, I still have my humble xb90ex. He has always said it; amplification + eq is the key.
Great choices. I have the maestro mini and love it but my Meteors have more bass and slam overall. Some companies focus on sub bass but lack mid bass. Meteors are balanced with both. KBear Rosefinch is the best budget bass set. Very impressed. Similar to Legato tuning but a bit more bite up top.
Glad Legato got a re-visit. Takes some work to find its sweet spot and amp needed, but it can hit those levels of subbass that make you feel uncomfortable.
The king of the V brings the bass as per usual. Appreciate the list and bonus points for including pairings. BASSHED?...probably taken...sadly BOOMIN is still better. I was trying to make something work with blvd...blvdboom, since your a family man now, but I couldn't shorten it enough.
I am surprised that the Mangird Zenns Up didn’t make this list. Based on your review, I’ve saved up $600.00 for it, so I’m almost there!!! I also just purchased the IKKO OH5. I would love to have you review it, to see if you’re as impressed by it as I am.
Mini definitely fit me better than the SE. excited for my grand maestro to get here!
I think a bass head IEM is all I’m missing from my collection. This list may help remedy that.
"normal" people think that audiophiles hate bass but no, bass when done good is heaven
Have not heard any of these - Legato is probably the only one I'd be super interested in
Number 1 baby!!
I got XENNS UP after seeing your videos and looking at the tier list you made. I didn't like them at first because I felt the bass didn't go too low and I was a bit disappointed, but in time, the more I listened, the more I understood what you meant and now I realize I love the impact, texture and speed of the bass, more than the extension and the rumble. So, thank you, I guess... :)
BASSHEADS !! Let’s go!! I’m enjoying the legato but would like that with better resolution
The mini is a bass monster. 100% recommend it.
Have you heard the ikko oh10 ? If so, how does it compare to the Mini ?
Killah plates brah. Hard to beat BOOMIN. Hopefully you can gettem back someday. Mahalo for the SE's. Such a dope set. It takes me back down memory lane.
Great list. Time to expand my collection. 7Hz legato was a surprise 😅
Who doesn't love a good BASS set?
Love a bit of deep, thundering, clean bass. It's the soul of a lot of music
My fav for doing this is the Khan, separate drivers really let you slam huge shelves so well without completely warbling up the rest.
I totally agree.
Vanity plate idea that's probably already taken try "Thumps" maybe it hasn't been taken but will not if someone reads this and wants it.
Thanks again Chris and as always I hope this comment finds you and your's all doing well and that the little man's still thriving.
God Bless...
Oh and I wanted to add if you can't afford the iFi Gryphon the little Go Blu has a very decent Bass Boost for what it is and is only $199 and can be found on sale for $179.
I own it and really enjoy it with most of my sets especially those that need that little bump like the Blessing 2 originals...
Also in the comment above it should be Now not Not, oops...
Boom boom basshead here 👐
I am so disappointed the Mele is discontinued, IMHO that is the right set to try bass head experience
The Legato is indeed a surprise … the SE not so much. Thought the Z1R was going to be around. Thanks for the review Chris.
I'm not a basshead, but the bass needs to be properly present, indeed. At the least so that bass guitars and drums sound 'real' and impactful, as they would at a live gig, say.
Good to know this top 5 list, though. The more we know, the more we can learn by subsequent references 🤘🏻
Glad to see a Sony set on here, they've had a few well known basshead iems.
i have the QKZ HBB love them
The Aurisonic graph is crazy !
Wow, 7Hz Legato get so much love, that is pretty good consider other IEM were expensive
EX-800ST is a warmer and slightly more bass version of the EX1000
Legato is really underrated. It scales REALLY good, on par with Sony EX800ST. If you think the bass already slam in its original form, you'd be pleasantly surprised when you EQ'd it. Add a good amps and you're in bass heaven for cheap. It's my daily IEM now replacing the EX800ST. I can't afford to lose the Sony because it's very hard to search and buy another one, at least in my country.
Totally legit basshead hahah!! Lusting after the FatFreq Maestro as an end game basshead set!
Grand maestro current king and duality about to destroy the competition soon, would like to see how the singularity stacks up to these
You talking up duality...hope it is as good as you say
@@BadGuyGoodAudioReviews I was one of the few who said grand maestro was better than maestro se. Trust me when I say that iem has thunderous bass, I've heard nothing like it to this day.
So far, it's been hard not being disappointed by some of the IEMs people have been telling me are for bassheads. Been looking into the mini lately. I just want to listen to my Wu-Tang in peace.
Yo Bruh!
Moar bass, without losing the mids and fine treble is a complex dance.
Always appreciate those who dance along that line and present thump plus details.
Mahalos
Dr Jeff
Nice mix of expensive and affordable stuff 👍
I basically like flat tones. If it's a bass boost, I think these equipment will go well with EDM, hip-hop, and trip-hop.
The 7hz is my go-to but the Venture Electronics VE BIE Pro driven thru balanced 4.4 by ifi HipDac with bass boost activated has deeper, visceral bass. Unfortunately, mids aren't as great but with the right track (Groove Armada - Are "Friends" Electric?) it's a riot.
I hear the Venture Electronics SIE is good. Worth checking out as an alternative.
wish i had the dough to check out the FF lineup. Thanks for the vid. Being broke, I have been looking at good iems that are older, so I can maybe get a deal. This is great for me. Please do more like this.
Fat Freq with some real bangers. Hopefully I can listen to one of their models one day. Cheers HBB!
New to the IEM world, hyped to get my BLON xHBB z300's, but really want some thumping sub bass sets in my collection!!!
Dude love the info for best quality and play back options. I'm currently looking for a good sounding heavy bass headphone to listen and escape reality
great top #5 list, hope u do an updated budget basshead list cheers
Love healthy amount of quality bass.
