Thanks a bunch on the bass frequency range talk. Learned some stuff today. Thank goodness for FatFreq. It's growing popularity is getting other manufacturer's notice. Hopefully we see more competing high quality bass sets in the near future. Which will further push innovation in bass tuning and driver set up tech!
They are a blessing to the hobby. Instead of mothering me about bass /mud/ etc this group just puts out gear that go from musician monitors to basshead stuff...as it should be
Good to see a company like Fatfreq find their niche and just powering through with it instead of just doing tunings to be the most versatile to please the most number of ppl
I got a follow up email from Fat Freq last week just to ask how has been my Maestro Mini since its been a year. No ad, no push for a new product, seemed like they were genuinely interested in my thoughts. Great company and I think the Scarlett mini is getting my money. Thanks for the heads up and review!
Its nice to see manufacturers embracing Bassy , not only Harman target or neutral IEM's. I can imagine the thundering deep bass from this beautiful transducers. Easily a contender on my wish list.

I tried these today at CanJam SoCal. The guys at Fatfreq are very nice. These are not just bass head IEMs, these are EPIC slamming, head filling, bass monsters. As a result they will be genre specific or require EQ in many cases to reduce the bass. -10db Seriously. But for Daft Punk, Hip Hop or similar, these are delicious.
Shells matters if there is no pipe. Moat iem with piping system. Having metal or resin makes no difference unless the back side of the driver have some air that comes to the nozzle. Some they do. Same don't. This set is tubeless. So that's cool. I always like tubeless because it reminds me the sound of speakers within a box. Deeper. More ecco more stage. Better separation. Yep. Good set.
I wish it happen too, but the tech that Fatfreq has in their Maestro series is so hard to replicate, and its patented so there will be some issues there
I boost the bass of my IEMs with eq, but there's distortion, and bass is pillowy. When I tried my friend's Maestro SE... really big, hard hitting bass with no distortion.
I miss out owning your HBB KindaLava, this company seems have their tuning spot on. Time to save up,Chris-san always trust your recs man. Thank you Bro!ありがとごさいます
Hi there! I'm still enjoying my Maestro Mini's and I'm so satisfied that I'd like to buy the Scarlet too. Do u think the Xduoo XD05 Bal 2 (1,5 w @ 32 ohm) is enought to drive them properly?! Tks!
I'm obsessed with colored cables. I love that red cable! I hope it's good. The case is super cool too. Everything is red. You need red tips to match. Interesting choice to use compensated graphs instead of the standard variant, was there a reason for this?
That’s a looot of good bass. Killer set. This is a prime example of how the graph doesn’t tell the whole story, a lot must say that there is bloat. Thanks for the review Chris.
Just got my second set of maestro minis. Love the sound on most of my gear, Im a bit treble sensitive, yet it never is annoying to me. I’d love to try the scarlets.
This the most exciting video ever can’t wait to sit in the suana and watch this before I lift with my mini fats .do u think the upgrade worth it bro honestly?❤

I’ve ordered the Maestro Mini & have found out I can upgrade my order to the Scarlet Mini. I listen to mostly techno & hip hop so I’m tempted. Anyone heard both & have any advice should I upgrade?
Great review. I went ahead and ordered it…4 months ago!!! Well-it arrived today. So WOW! I can’t sleep as I am *rediscovering* my library! Let me clarify something, the set is amazingly BASS RESOLVING, not just bass elevated. In track after track I am discovering BASS OVERTONES and hidden drum play that inferior sets-Like everything else In my kit-ignore. The closest that I have is the Monarch Mk 3. Bass is deep, but not as resolving. But the Monarch is much more treble resolving. And the Scarlet just slays my 64Audio Nio. Yet, FINALLY I have a set that can bring Sly Stone’s Dance to the Music to life in the bass. There’s a kick drum in there! Anyway, he is right, the is bass-head endgame. But make sure you amplify it. The set needs a little more power than you might expect to pull the best bass. There is nothing like it, hurry and order it now! Their website is advertising delays for what they call overwhelming demand. Good for them! Thanks!

Love your vids because they are so educational. I learn so much by watching these. Thanks for these. How do these compare to another iem that has been labelled as a bass-king: the Sony IER-Z1R? Edit: the price of the fat freq scarlet mini wasn't in border so I looked it up and for the price combined with your praise this set seems like an absolute winner.
i agree with the glide as what i notice that i love sets with that glide rather than the shelf, no matter how big the shelf is it just feels lacking without slight boost to the kicks
i love bass ..... . HBB you upload a 16 min review video on this . one of you highest review time on a single IEM . it means a lot .... wish to have it one-day . thankz

These graph like it’ll be a fun set. Sadly $627 is a bit rich for me but hopefully a more affordable set that graphs the same will come out soon. Thanks for the video🤘🏻
I am a bass head that doesn't listen to bass head music so much, therefore I just use an analog E.Q. and boost around 63 Hz and leave the rest flat. This brings up the drums and bass on older recordings that were originally mastered for vinyl that sometimes can sound flat. This looks like an interesting set.
It won't be them being mastered for /beinh on vinyl that's making them sound 'flat'. If you're listening to music that was made with electronic equipment pre early 00's, they were using outboard gear, not software. When software powerful enough to make electronic music on without the need for expensive outboard gear, they were also able to make it sound really bloody loud very easily - it has absolutely nothing to do with anything & certainly for a while, vinyl sounded louder than digital/CDs. There won't be a massive difference either way now.
Honestly thought these were pretty muddy when I heard them in a showfloor. Might be the environment or an earlier prototype so I’ll definitely audition these the next time I get a chance
After watching your review I really must try some basshead set. Maybe the Legato, as it's budget friendly. I would love to check out the Fatfreq set one day tho. So many good reviews
