Something I want to make clear about the video is that there could be more that these stats influence than what is listed in the video, but I did not want to include them if I could not guarantee the validity of the claim. The reason it is difficult to be sure is because many of the other possible mechanics that the stats could influence are not determined by just one stat, but appear to be influenced by potentially multiple stats and factors. Furthermore, with the limited testing abilities in the game, some mechanics of the game are difficult to efficiently test. I spent countless hours testing all kinds of effects that the stats could have and this video showcases what I was able to determine with relative certainty. I figured I would also share that I have seen some claim that Dexterity affects the chance of applying status effects, the chance of resisting status effects, accuracy and crit rate (both of which I mentioned in the video but the correlation was rather weak). For the most part, this comment combined with what I talked about in the video cover all of the possible effects that I have seen people claim the stats have, but I would only be sure of the ones I mentioned in the video. I just wanted to mention this info so that you all knew of the possibilities and if you so desire you can test them for yourself. As always, thank you all for the support! Wishing you all the best!
It is not. This is a lie. I ran the sotenbori marathon enough to get Ichis agility to 2k and everyone else has like 400-700. Guess who always goes last? Ichiban. The one with literal 3x agility. The “testing” this guys done is most likely just went to the characters and looked at who had the most agility (for him) and just went with it. To actually prove/disprove this would to actually improve the stats and see what changes, which for me, nothing changed. Agility literally seems to do absolutely nothing. I also have 2.5k dex and I haven’t noticed any significant dodging. But I came to this video hoping it wouldn’t just be a regurgitation of what redditors have already assumed. Sad that that is the case. Still have no clue what dex/agility does.
@@beastness501 Thanks for taking your time to try and dispel any confusion that there is in the Yakuza Like A Dragon community on the topic of what the stats mean! I appreciate that and that is exactly what I was trying to do with this video. However, I do not appreciate your assumptions that you made and your lack of asking any questions before arriving at your conclusions. Opposed to what you thought, I did not go to Reddit and take what was said there and repost it here; in fact I hardly ever use Reddit and when I do it usually is not for gaming related purposes. My results were derived from the very same testing you state that I should have used, which was I took a character, tested a specific mechanic of the game, then raised a given stat, tested the mechanic again, and then compared the numbers to see any correlations. To determine what mechanics I should test, I used my knowledge of previous RPGs I have played and my knowledge of this game, to hypothesize what facets of the game were most likely affected by a stat and then I did testing to see if that was the case. You assuming that I just copied info from Reddit and, as you put it, "regurgitated" it here is not only incorrect, but it also attempts to discredit the many hours of time I spent testing in game mechanics and creating spreadsheets to catalog the data and determine correlations. Furthermore, I even said in the video that "you should note that there is more at play when it comes to these effects of the Agility stat as the enemies you encounter will change how they work" which is me attempting to explain, as I have elsewhere in the comments, that testing some of these mechanics and getting results that are certain is difficult for a myriad of factors; and that many of these mechanics are most likely not determined solely by a single stat. As for the info you have provided about your Ichiban having 2k agility and still always going last, I will trust that you are telling the truth, but I find that very odd as I have never had Ichiban go last in turn order as far as I can remember. Assuming your info is accurate and true, my best guess is that there is such a discrepancy in Ichiban's stats compared to his teammates that the game is "glitching" or, as I have mentioned, one of the other factors that affect turn order is at play. As for you bringing up dexterity and dodging, I am not sure if you think that I said they are correlated, but I have never said such a thing. Before ending this comment, I would like to say that of course I could be wrong about some of the things I said in the video, but that would not be as a result of copying what others have said or the result of being too lazy to do proper testing, rather it would be because of my limited ability to perfectly test how specific stats affect particular game mechanics. I did the best I could with what I had and I was willing to put large sums of my time in to make it happen. If you can do better and get definite answers to what each of the stats do, I would truly be interested in seeing what you find, but I think the only way this can happen is by looking at the game code and determining it that way. Moreover, I apologize for any mistakes I might have made as my goal is to help players out and provide them with accurate information. In the future, all I ask is that before making accusations about me, it would make more sense to ask me questions first. I hope I cleared up any misconceptions and if you choose to stick around, I would love to see you around the channel. Take care and I wish you all the best!

I found an interesting article from Korean threads. The author suspects that agility may be decomposed into two differently weighed portions, one of which determines only the within-party order. Consider Matriarch Eri with agility 800ish and Host Han with 600, where Han still secures the first turn given other things equal. However, if Eri wears Transcendent Insoles, surprisingly she precedes others within the party. In conclusion, each job is assigned a hidden stat which dominates such a huge difference in nominal agility, but we can strategically employ insoles to let others cast AoE cleaners (Windmill, Megaton Throw, Giga Swing, Thumbtack Scatter, etc.) first in turn! Of course, I doubt it works for Adachi unless he is doped with many cans of booster.
Hello! Thanks for leaving this interesting information here. This theory could definitely have some truth to it and it could be easily tested by entering an identical battle encounter, such as those in the Sotenbori Battle Arena, multiple times and taking note of the turn order and then, if the turn order was the same everytime, change the job of a character to that of a job you suspect negatively impacts turn order and see if there is any change. However, something to note is that, as I mentioned in my video, there is more at play than just this theory alone would suggest as the turn order for your party changes from battle to battle with no change in stats or anything else. This would seem to mean that the enemies have stats that affect your turn order as well. This is why I stated in my video that some of the mechanics in the game are very likely determined by a combination of several "stats" and not by solely one stat. As always, best wishes 🌠 and much ❤️
From my experience, the total agility amount doesn't affect turn order as much as equipment with agility does. I had decked out Ichiban with agility in every piece, making him go first everytime. Meanwhile, Joon Gi Han is stripped of agility in his gear and also has yakuza training gear, which makes him always go last since other group members have agility gear tailored for specific turn order. It took years to tinker around, but once you get enough agility items, you can much more easily adjust the turn order instead of juicing everyone with +5 agility boosters. That being said, there is still some hidden baseline parameter which benefits Joon Gi in terms of character turn order because I really had to nerf Han's agility with yakuza training gear to stop him from going first
I saw some testing that someone did on turn order - they said that agility AND dex together affect the turn order. This might be a more obvious benefit for dex.

Thanks for checking out the video! As to your question, those are some great guesses. As I said in the video, I tested crit rate which was true, but when I increased dex by 80, I only got a 1% increase in crit rate, so not the best returns. I have seen many claim online that dex also affects accuracy, but that is hard to test, so I am not sure if it does. Some also say dex affects evasion, but I more saw that being affected by Agility. As for your other guesses of crit damage and status apply chance, those are possibilities that I didn't test and they might be true. If you do try and test to see if they are related to dex, I would love to know. Thanks again and I am wishing the best for you!
That is great to hear as I strive to do my best to answer the questions and meet the need that people have in Yakuza Like A Dragon (YLAD). I want everyone to have as best of an experience as possible when playing this fantastic game. Wishing positivity for you!

I kinda feel like Dex is the one that gives you Evasion , and attack order seems to be attach to jobs and characters too, thats why for example Eri and Han can easy get the first attack, Han in special, agility for han is more about getting more turns since he is the fastest character in the game, even more with it's basic job lol

Hello! Sorry this is really late, but if you are still interested in the answer to your question: by increasing your rank in other jobs, there are stat increases every few ranks that are permanently applied to that character once you reach those ranks, meaning even if you change jobs on that character, those stats will carry over. There are a few stat increases before rank 30 on every job and then after rank 30; I believe you get stat increases every 5 ranks. I discuss this topic in more detail in my video on the Best Jobs in the game so check that out if you want to know more! In the past few months I have been taking care of a lot of things, but I am now getting a lot more focused on content creation. This is common knowledge to those who play lots of RPG’s. This is great news for newcomers. Awesome video man. I may get back to this to 100% the game. I loved this Yakuza game and I hope they continue to make it like this moving forward!
Thanks for checking out the video and for dropping this supportive message! I am glad you enjoyed the video and I hope it gave you the extra motivation to get back on the game. For me the game has some faults, but it is close to a masterpiece. Its story alone is one of the best I have seen in all of gaming. I have plenty more Yakuza Like A Dragon related content coming out soon, so keep an eye out for that! I made this particular video because there was a lot of confusion in the community on what certain stats do. I will say that even after my extensive testing, I do not know everything the stats do because some of the mechanics of the game are influenced by certain stats, but they are not entirely decided by one stat alone. Testing these things becomes very complicated and time intensive. The easiest and most effective way to determine for sure what all the stats do is by looking at the game code, but I only have the game on PS4 and think that for the most part, such info is not a necessity. Anyways, take care and I hope to see you around the channel! Wishing you all the best there is in the world!
Did you watch the dexterity stat segment? It is still one of the greatest mysteries in this game and the reason I'm here, everyone online disagrees on what it actually influences.

Thanks for checking out the video! As to your question, what do you mean by "fuse weapons"? I would love to help you, but there is no fusing system in YLAD. If I am misunderstanding could you elaborate or rephrase? Wishing you all the best the world has to offer!
@@piztolfire18 Oh now I understand what you mean. So basically each job has what is called its top weapon which is earned by taking a usually weak weapon from the job and upgrading it up 12 times. The top weapons are always the best weapons for the jobs if you are going based off stats, but sometimes other weapons might have better extra effects, but the stat difference is usually so great that the extra effect does not make up for it. Since you are talking about Bats, I will tell you that the top weapon for the Hero Job is the Legendary Hero's Bat which is obtained by taking the Self Proclaimed Hero's Bat and upgrading it all the way up. The line of upgrades is Self Proclaimed Hero's Bat to Hero's Bat to Heroic Soul Bat to Legendary Hero's Bat. At certain stages of the upgrading, the weapon will change names and usually when it has a name change, one of the material requirements to do the upgrade that will cause the name change is a weapon. For example, I believe when you upgrade the Heroic Soul Bat to the Legendary Hero's Bat, one of the requirements is the Dragon Soul Bat. I have not really upgraded weapons besides the weapons that lead to the top weapons because there is not much of a reason to waste resources on weapons that end up being surpassed, but as far as I am aware one does not do what you called "fusing" to upgrade the other weapons that don't lead to top weapons. I hope this helps! I am planning on releasing a video on the best weapons and how to get them along with many other useful Yakuza Like A Dragon related content, so if you enjoy my content, feel free to subscribe so you do not miss my future uploads! Wishing you all the best!
My biggest problem is the agility stats of my team, in another words, my team's attacking order. Both Ichiban and Adachi has most powerful wide range attack from Foreman job. At the beginning of a fight the enemies tend to stay together so to maximize the damage I want the two of them to attack first. But since it's Saeko and the other dude (not Nanba) has the best agility, they always attack first. Their move is mostly powerful single target and enemies always disperse after the fact. It's super annoying.

This game does not have that many great resources online for information and that is why I decided to start making videos on it so that I could improve the experience for other people who play the game.
Also, since this is the first time I have seen you around the channel; I would like to give you a warm welcome to the community! I am more than happy to have you here!
I hope all is well in your life! Wishing you all the best the world has to offer! 🌠

Finally, hard to find good info about stats
Hey! 👋
I noticed the same issue with this game, that being there were not that many resources online for it, and that is why I started creating videos for this game in the first place. It feels great knowing that I am helping so many people out with Yakuza Like A Dragon and improving their experience with it. Even if I only make a slight difference, it is cool to know that I am increasing someone's enjoyment of a game!

what tests had you done with dex? Some of the guesses of mine is crit rate, crit damage, accurate, status apply chance.
What is weird to me is that the Musician Job gets all Dex boosts. Why would a support class need that if it's just crit rate?
@@covereye5731 That why I am guessing status applying, lowering enemy attack and defense
I've been wondering this
That is great to hear as I strive to do my best to answer the questions and meet the need that people have in Yakuza Like A Dragon (YLAD). I want everyone to have as best of an experience as possible when playing this fantastic game. Wishing positivity for you!
Thank you! Can you make a video of the management? I messed up on it. I feel like I leveled up my workers too early and now it costs so much and I'm losing money on them.
Thanks for checking out the video! I hope you enjoyed it! As to your question, I already made a video on the Business Management Minigame; go to my channel and check out my video on the Best Money Farming Methods, I cover the topic in that video. To help you with the specific problem you mentioned here, you should be able to recover by either making sure you are only employing those who you have assigned to properties and firing anyone else, and if you are still somehow in the negative just fire everyone until you are in the positive for now and hire level 1 people and then re-hire those other employees later when you can afford them. I hope this helps! Furthermore, if you enjoy my content, feel free to subscribe so you do not miss my future Yakuza Like A Dragon related uploads. I have plenty of content on the way that you will not find anywhere else on UA-cam. I hope to see you around the channel! Wishing you all the best!
@@Skystu thanks!! Much appreciated.
Yo wassup I’m here like promised just late due to school and stuff keep up the good work also when I go to start a premium adventure should I click continue and do it from there or new game+? I want to keep everything I just want to max out my characters and try to platinum this game I have never got a platinum on a game before and I want this game to be my first
No problem if you are late, I am just glad you could make it! As to your question, I believe when you beat the game it just lets you continue playing like normal, but the game will now call it Premium Adventure. If you quit out right after beating the final boss then I am not sure how to progress, maybe click continue but the issue with that is you would need a save to click that is after the final boss and already in Premium Adventure. If I find something else out I will let you know. Thanks again and I hope all is well!
@@Skystu thanks for feed back one of them says start premium adventure so I know what to choose now
@@datboi9760 Ok great! Sorry if I was not much help, but it has been a long time since I went into Premium Adventure and I could not remember what exactly happens once you beat the game. I hope you have a wonderful time in Premium Adventure mode and I have videos coming out soon that will hopefully make your experience even better!
Do u have a video what is the best accessories to use for every chracter for battle not for xp
Thanks for stopping by the comments section and leaving this comment! As to your question, no I do not, but I have a video that covers the topic coming out very soon so keep an eye out for that! Take care and best wishes!
Is the "stat boost set" worth $10
I kinda feel like Dex is the one that gives you Evasion , and attack order seems to be attach to jobs and characters too, thats why for example Eri and Han can easy get the first attack, Han in special, agility for han is more about getting more turns since he is the fastest character in the game, even more with it's basic job lol
Wait what happens if you have 101% resistance
😂 Great Question!!! My guess is that it caps at 100% resistance, but maybe I'll give that a try next time I am on the game.

Do you need to level up other jobs to have more stats? And how much?

@@Skystu It has been to long.... Four months I have waited for this answer...why...WHY NOW!?!!?!?
@@ogxer6366 😂 I am sorry 😢 Sometimes comments fall through the cracks and I don't see them, plus real world stuff can get in the way. In the past few months I have been taking care of a lot of things, but I am now getting a lot more focused on content creation. I saw your comment and thought maybe there was a chance you would still want an answer.
Are you still playing Yakuza Like A Dragon? Or did you 100% it awhile ago? Or something else? I'd be interested to know!
@@Skystu I haven't played since two or three months ago...But on early April I would be playing it to finishing YLAD 100%😅
@@Skystu Only the true final millennium Tower until i get the trophy
@@Skystu ha ha! Thank you man. Same to you!
Did you watch the dexterity stat segment? It is still one of the greatest mysteries in this game and the reason I'm here, everyone online disagrees on what it actually influences.
@@redbricxk-r3dd3d yeah. Most TB RPG’s are fantasy but they are still so fun. EarthBound Mother 2, EarthBound Mother 3, Super Mario RPG, Chrono Trigger, Mario Bros SuperStar Saga. I’ll put more later check it regularly buddy.
Does lowering defense increase damage by magic skills or is there no effect?
Yes! lowering enemy defense makes them take more magic and physical damage. All Damage will do more
Yea defense in this game is kinda like armor in Wow, it reduces the damage by a%
How do i fuse weapon's and at what chapter, i have upgrade the workshop to lvl 4 and am in chapter 12.
Thanks for checking out the video! As to your question, what do you mean by "fuse weapons"? I would love to help you, but there is no fusing system in YLAD. If I am misunderstanding could you elaborate or rephrase? Wishing you all the best the world has to offer!
@@Skystu Thanks 4 replying, i mean upgrading the Thundercrack Bat Ex and Dragon Soul Bat to fuse together
@@Skystu thanks and keep up the great content more games
My biggest problem is the agility stats of my team, in another words, my team's attacking order. Both Ichiban and Adachi has most powerful wide range attack from Foreman job. At the beginning of a fight the enemies tend to stay together so to maximize the damage I want the two of them to attack first. But since it's Saeko and the other dude (not Nanba) has the best agility, they always attack first. Their move is mostly powerful single target and enemies always disperse after the fact. It's super annoying.
Spoilers in the video. Lame
