I recently took down the True Final Millennium Tower using all of the jobs you suggested are the best and Holy shit! They really are! That wound opener does more damage than most of the essence moves in the game against those who are both weak to blade skills and who are bleeding at the same time. Now the only one that you suggested was best for ERI I used Matriarch instead as her essence of elegance works wonders for the 3 enemies, the Biker Vanguard, Bedeviler and Bohemiarch as they are all weak to blade skills. This video proved to be very helpful for my True Final run, thank you! I realize that was based off of your opinion but these jobs really are the best for their respective characters. You clearly know your stuff well.
I remember watching this video back when I got the game, and I never knew about Eri being a party member so once I saw that she could and then I seen you mention gambler and her ridiculously high luck stat I had to try it out, and when I did I basically was one-shotting most higher tier enemies.. she’s now a back-up for adachi for me since adachi is in that weird spot for me where he’s kinda good but also kinda bad
I run Breaker on Zhao. And I think it works honestly Breaker style matches his personality with wanting to show off and have some flair doing it. Though do say he's a really good chef.
Coming back to Yakuza 7 after 8 and i'm so glad they made jobs more flexable in 8. Having most of your base stats locked to the job meant you really wanted to just stick with one in this game.
Here's my active party: Ichiban as Breaker. Joon as Hitman. Zhao as Gangster. Eri as Idol (With some Dealer abilities carried over) My inactive party is: Nanba as Musician. Saeko as Night Queen (With some Idol abilities carried over) Adachi as Body guard. So far everything has worked out and I basically gave them jobs that suited their personality. Ichi is super charismatic = breaker Joon and Zhao are best as themselves. But I can see Zhao being a chef and Joon being a host because of his master owned a host club and how he dresses. Eri is passionate and cheerful = Idol. Nanba is lazy and funny at times = hippie looking musician. Saeko takes no shit from anyone= Night queen. Adachi is very protective but has a wild side=Body guard. Whether or not it works for their stats? Its worked out so far and I decided im going to be true to the characters. Might be harder but yeah.
Yeah that will work for the main story for sure but the harder version of the post-game dungeon (unlocks after doing the initial post-game dungeon) will require a more optimized job setup in addition to a lot of other preparation.
Another reason Joon would make a good host: he's one of those feminine Korean guys girls like Saeko fall head over heels for. I think Bodyguard suits Adachi really well too but Ichiban looks cool as hell in the black and red suit he can wear with that job. I like that Host also kinda makes Adachi look like he just walked out of Vice City and makes Ichiban look the closest to Kiryu without needing the DLC costumes from 0 or Kiwami.
Definitely agree with Adachi as musician but I feel like Saeko is super good as a Dealer, has more attack and dex then eri as a dealer, Eri is much better as a nightqueen anyway
So I played mainly with Freelancer cause I'm insane and cause I knew the "Essence of roadside weapons" was coming, and it's basically just a compilation of heat moves depending what objects are near you
How long did you use that Job for? I used it briefly after I got through the dungeon in Chapter 6 'cause Ichiban looked so badass using it shirtless in that one fight and I was so disappointed at how weak it felt compared to Hero after I playedthrough the end of Chapter 6. I guess they did that so there is more of a distinction between him and Kiryu.
Thanks for this dude. I've been reading from several best jobs sites and you're reasoning just sounds much more reasonable and makes sense than others.
Do to his base stats he does well as any job really; but since he's the only one who can be a Hitman, and because that job is so powerful, it generally best to have him stay that when going for optimization.
I decided to give Han the Fulminating Forecast and all the Musician skills. He became insanely OP, especially with Idol Saeko and Dealer Eri. The game became too damn easy.
I like using the break dancer on Adachi as I get a move that can nuke all the enemies around me. Now, this move could be on the other party members if they got the job on them but I like using them with the pefered jobs I assigned them too. Other then that, nice video.
It’s worth noting that when you you initially get the extra party members that their gear would be hot garbage so if you have some decent breaker gear joon-gi han works really well with that class Eri’s base class has thumbtack scatter which is really effective when you get it early on Zhao at this time you should be rolling in dough so just buy the saber from the market in China town.
Yeah, it's super easy to get the upgradable weapons from safes around the map so it's definitely worth investing in those items first. Hella expensive but they can't be beat
Very much enjoying the game so far I bought the legendary digital edition so I got a ton of extra stuff as well... Do you ever plan to do a video on the two DLC jobs? cuz they seam like they could be fun as well
for eri, clerk job needs to have special mention. the best thing about eri as a clerk that their is a weapon for her that has an effect that ignore defense.
I have a soft spot for clerk Eri, she dealt some big damage with Thumbtack Scatter and the compass attack (I forget the name) in the dungeons and boss battles before I got Han and Zhao.

Hey, I have a video suggestion. I know you probably have this in mind, but can you make a video guide on getting the best gear for each job? Because I can't make up my mind. I got that Ichiban weapon that you mentioned which deals wide area damage on normal attacks. It's also an upgrade material for the hero bat. What's your suggestions? Should I upgrade the hero bat or maybe there's a better weapon in the post game dungeon?
All of the best weapons are crafted and then upgraded weapons and aren't fully obtainable until post-game due to need materials from the bonus dungeons.
Probably could’ve done it sooner if I knew how to grind for it better. Start with 1000 chips on the blackjack table. Then when you get to over 10000 chips start doing the Texas Holdem table. I did Texas holdem majority of the way and that took forever.
I learned after having on musician for awhile he kept the mp and hp move when i switched him to enforcer for ch 12 boss fight best of both worlds in my opinion
I've found that jobs that are great in the early-to-mid game (dealer, hit man, even hero) lose some utility in the late game because they lack damage-all essence skills. Well, hit man has a damage-all piercing attack, but it's pretty weak. I think the host is extremely strong, as he has damage-all essence skills for both fire and ice. Gangster and clerk have damage-all blunt attacks, and the matriarch has a damage-all blade attack.
@@RozalinGaming Fair enough. I haven't played the game on the hardest difficulty yet, so if I ever get around to it (I'm currently enjoying Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth), my opinions could well change.
Are you going to do any videos covering the arena/millennium tower? Would be interested to see what kind of party compositions you prefer to use, whether it be for fun or for optimal setup
Tbh, I kind of disagree with a big chunk of this. I would say that Nanba is best with his default job, only using host/fortuneteller to get some complimentary skills. Adachi is best in my opinion as a enforcer, and since you have Saeko as a idol, you don’t need two healers. A second support is a waste of a slot to me. Eri has a naturally high attack, so her default job or night queen are really great for her. Zhao is amazing with his default job, and doesn’t need chef, especially with his amazing attacks in his default job. Other than that, I mostly agree with you. Ichi, Han, and Zhao are great for their defaults. That aside, great video!
Simba Not Mufasa problem with Nanba’s default job is all the good abilities are character ones and transfer to other jobs with better stat modifiers. Enforcer is okay but as I said in the video there is no good place to make use of it, hence why I recommend Musician, which isn’t just a healer; it focuses on buffs and debuffs. While on the note of multiple supports, if you go into EX Hard or the bonus dungeon with just an Idol you will get slaughtered. The reason I recommend Dealer over Night Queen is twofold: (1) it simply deals more damage and (2) it has access to more damage types. As for Zhao, his default is fine, but Chef does similar numbers while giving him access to magic damage. All of my recommendations for best jobs are based off of EX Hard and the bonus dungeon, which are basically the only places optimization matters.
I tried out Enforcer for Adachi. I tested every character on every class they could be (except DLC) actually. Shock Prong is certainly strong but in my opinion not strong enough to merit making him an Enforcer over a Musician.
This video has helped my decision making alot during my playthrough. Would you recommend I switch Zhao to Chef as soon as I get him, or grind him up to Job level 22 on Gangster to learn the skills that can carry over to Chef?
Nice video on which recommended player to get the job class. also is it true that the western side for Y7 DLC is free? or are those just rumors for now.
I have no idea about the price of the DLC tbh. Some of the DLC was super cheap though when it launched in Japan (like 7 yen for a week or something) so it could be possible.
@@therenegadegamer7422 oh thanks for that the western side has the free premium adventure and new game plus. im dumb on what im saying that the dlc is free. Im referring to the premium adventure and new game plus is free only on the western side and no more of that $10 bs.

I need to change ichiban back to his host or the hero the rest I knew who to have especially saeko and joong hi but the others wasn't sure thanks for this vid lol I been in love with the game
The way my main party is setup is… Ichiban is a Bodyguard, Saeko is an Idol, Adachi is a Breaker, and Joon-gi Han is his default job. The way it’s setup too; Joon goes first, then Saeko, then Adachi, and then Ichiban goes last and does the most damage in my party.
Like I said, you can definitely make him a physical attacker but others do that role better than him which is why his best job is the Musician, especially for post-game content.
U would be fool not to play the ichibon holdings mini game if you beat it it’s the perfect money farm not to mention it’s pretty fun. I spent hours playing the mini game alone and before I knew it I had millions in my account 😂
I got 26 Million Yen playing it for 2 days. I like that they gave you such an easy way to get rich so you can spend Yen however you want on weapons, armor, accessories, investments into the Romance Workshop, and minigames.
Would you recommend getting any transferable "Character Skills" from other jobs to add to your recommended party here? I think I'm going to copy your party choices (switch as needed, like between Fortuneteller and Host for Hibana depending on what I need at the moment, but make sure their both leveled as well so that way they're ready to go with skills and bonus stats.) If that helps you answer my question Your party seems pretty appealing to me...just want to know if any extra skills with them will help push them to that "next level" 😉. (PS: Especially for the ladies. I know Idol is the go to, but any of their other Job skills worth bringing along for their Idol Roles?)
If you're doing post game content, get the fire ability from Demolisher class for your male characters. The females can also learn a water spell from hostess

I mostly agree with this, but I do feel like Clerk is still an incredibly solid job for Eri, especially if you're using her to mop up random encounters in the streets or one of the dungeons. Her Thumbtacks are a great early option, and Telephone Nunchucks is just *amazing* at endgame. I'm also a fan of keeping Nanba homeless for his Pigeon Swarm, useful when you need general magic damage and all the enemies have different elemental resists, but magic as a whole works equally well on them. Also, even if you don't plan to main the Enforcer Job, for the love of god, use it to at least Rank 4 on all your physical attackers. Shield Blast is a wonderful tool to have. Hero is definitely the best option for Ichiban, no question, but one should still spend some time with Bodyguard, Host, Foreman, and Fortune Teller on him to get those sexy cross class abilities. You'll then have a Hero with access to every damage type except for guns, making him incredibly flexible for any encounter.
Yep, other jobs for the characters are definitely strong. The ones I listed are simply the best for each character if you are min/maxing (which admittedly is only necessary for the post-game dungeon).
Small critique or suggestion. Since I am assuming this is an "English Gaming" Channel it would have been nice if you actually used the English version of the game. That way when you showed us the jobs we would actually understand/read the attacks/spell they have.
@@kingsboro1 Yeah and? Adachi is a great early game party member though. I'm not taking him to fight Amon but Bodyguard Adachi is still great till you unlock Zhao. Endgame my party in 7 is always Ichi, Han and Zhao with the 4th being a flex slot.

Eri - Hostess (Extra magic damage and powerful kiwami moves)
Thank you. Went the same way for me. Enforcer just fits perfectly for Adachi and Nanba became Homeless again, after i made him learn all the elemental fun from Fortuneteller, Host and even Foreman^^. I love his Essence of the Pyro Prison. Looks so cool, especially in that black suit!
You didn't use Saeko at all?
this was incredibly helpful! i’m glad i found this guide before heading into the last few chapters of the game!
Same here to be honest haha
I don't currently have the game and yet I'm still watching this.
I actually prefer Night Queen for Eri.
It's damage godly, plus the speed helps.
Coming back to Yakuza 7 after 8 and i'm so glad they made jobs more flexable in 8. Having most of your base stats locked to the job meant you really wanted to just stick with one in this game.
Tip:For Ichiban you should use Breaker at the start, it sure helps a lot, as Hero at the start isnt as effective.
Here's my active party:
Ichiban as Breaker.
Joon as Hitman.
Zhao as Gangster.
Eri as Idol (With some Dealer abilities carried over)
My inactive party is:
Nanba as Musician.
Saeko as Night Queen (With some Idol abilities carried over)
Adachi as Body guard.
So far everything has worked out and I basically gave them jobs that suited their personality.
Ichi is super charismatic = breaker
Joon and Zhao are best as themselves.
Honestly you gotta need Peerless Resolve , that's downright mandatory for Ichiban because if he dies it's game over
Another reason Joon would make a good host: he's one of those feminine Korean guys girls like Saeko fall head over heels for.
Max all jobs. Become gods.
Definitely agree with Adachi as musician but I feel like Saeko is super good as a Dealer, has more attack and dex then eri as a dealer, Eri is much better as a nightqueen anyway
Thanks for this man. Never would have known things about some games if it wasn't for your knowledge. Satisfied subscriber here!
So I played mainly with Freelancer cause I'm insane and cause I knew the "Essence of roadside weapons" was coming, and it's basically just a compilation of heat moves depending what objects are near you
@@crashoutfm Be careful about that though, it's putting a crutch on yourself, cause you unlock it at Rank 28 of the job. Keep that in mind
Feels like johne checked this out before he started his play through
Indeed, lol.
who's johne?
@@curupa66 johneawesome
I actually find that Joon-Gi Han does really well as a breaker. Yes, even on the harder difficulties.
I did the same with adachi . Made him breaker at the start and switched him to enforcer mid game
It’s worth noting that when you you initially get the extra party members that their gear would be hot garbage so
if you have some decent breaker gear joon-gi han works really well with that class
Eri’s base class has thumbtack scatter which is really effective when you get it early on
Zhao at this time you should be rolling in dough so just buy the saber from the market in China town.
Yeah, it's super easy to get the upgradable weapons from safes around the map so it's definitely worth investing in those items first. Hella expensive but they can't be beat
You can get zhaos best sword from the arena. It's a beast of a weapon
@@keesingh2031 the arena sword is just an upgrade component for zhaos best weapon.
I just finished it and got the liu khang sword. It does over 140 attack.
Ooo do you use the actual weapon to craft a better one ??
I hope next game they let us change jobs freely. Going back to Hello Work everytime only makes the player less inclined to try different things.
This.
This looks interesting. Thanks.
Hey man this was really informative and well-thought out. Thank you so much 😊 Have a good day!
Very much enjoying the game so far I bought the legendary digital edition so I got a ton of extra stuff as well... Do you ever plan to do a video on the two DLC jobs? cuz they seam like they could be fun as well
I don't have the DLC so I can't cover them.
for eri, clerk job needs to have special mention. the best thing about eri as a clerk that their is a weapon for her that has an effect that ignore defense.
The Clerk is definitely strong, but with only two female party members it doesn't leave a lot of room for it when the Dealer provides much more.
@DeadlyDuel What is that weapon and how is it acquired?
I have a soft spot for clerk Eri, she dealt some big damage with Thumbtack Scatter and the compass attack (I forget the name) in the dungeons and boss battles before I got Han and Zhao.
All 4 characters using Devil Rocker is all you need!
This whole time on your videos I thought you were saying “Eddie” until I saw it spelled as “Eri” haha. Love your vids btw!
In Japanese there is no ri or re sound as they are basically pronounced at the same time so it can sound like eddie if you aren't used to hearing it.
@@RozalinGaming that’s interesting and I enjoy the way you pronounce names. I really want to learn Japanese at some point in my life!
@@unlyricallyrics4152 Japanese can be intimidating but it's actually not too bad to learn once you get the basics down since it's a very loose language gramatically. It is a very contextual language though, which can throw us English speakers off at first.
@@RozalinGaming thank you! You make learning it sound easier than what I pictured in my head which makes me want to give it a fighting chance lol
To sum it up, the bost jobs for each of the characters is
Ichiban - Hero
Eri - Dealer
Nanba - Host/Fortune Teller
Adachi - Musician
Han - Hitman
Saeko - Idol
Zhao - Mafia/Chef
He said he completed everything on ex hard. Must be including the final millennium tower. Fuckin’ respect
He just fucking one shot ichiban at his second stage

the thought of the depressing old homeless man being best as a host really is what makes like a dragon special.
Also ty for the recap it was easy to screen it for later when I play
I thought about making Nanba a Breaker since it would make sense for a homeless person to start a new career as a street performer.
@@KaiKrimson56 haha true, but to be fair he was only undercover as a homeless dude for 6 months, he isn't actually one
i still leave Adachi as an Enforcer because of the paralysis prongs, that skill has an absurd damage to cost ratio,Like the hitman's Head Trauma
Agree, that damage is monstruous
I got adachi as a breaker and he kills everything and he does a lot of follow up attacks
@@RozalinGaming ok thanks. I'll stick with these bats for now.
I grinded the poker table for 3 days straight just so I could get the royal joker card early mid game for Dealer Eri. Worth it.
Probably could’ve done it sooner if I knew how to grind for it better. Start with 1000 chips on the blackjack table. Then when you get to over 10000 chips start doing the Texas Holdem table. I did Texas holdem majority of the way and that took forever.
Thank you; I may try these suggestions on NG+
I tested all job's viability in the True Final Millennium Tower before make my final decision on the best jobs; the result is this video.
Maybe Millennium Tower but not the area. Basically anything works for arena; it's not really difficult.
@@RozalinGamingand what about true millenium tower?
@@vault29a If I make a video covering the Millennium Tower it would be for both entrances.
@@RozalinGaming that would be rad
Two Words.
Paralysis Prong.
Zhou ca cook right , so the chef job is really suit him .
I'm saving this video when I begin playing like a dragon that way I know which jobs to focus on.👍👍
My part is breaker for ichiban, hitman, mafia, and idol for saeko. And I also got best weapons for all and fully upgraded. You think that’s good.
Very helpful video, thanks!
You slept on Enforcer for Adachi. That shock Prong attack is brutal in Boss fights and was a go to move for me
I tried out Enforcer for Adachi. I tested every character on every class they could be (except DLC) actually. Shock Prong is certainly strong but in my opinion not strong enough to merit making him an Enforcer over a Musician.
Love this game thank you for the tips 👍🏼👌🏽
What is that Hero weapon for Ichiban that lets him do damage to a wide area with standard attacks? And what chapter does it become available?
I set break dancer on ichiban and I can't seem to change it. Its just too fun.
This video has helped my decision making alot during my playthrough. Would you recommend I switch Zhao to Chef as soon as I get him, or grind him up to Job level 22 on Gangster to learn the skills that can carry over to Chef?
After returning to Osaka it seems that the game ramps up in difficulty like crazy. Any advice?
Oh, no worries on the advice. I got’er done.
Still kinda like the enforcer because of the shield and weapon.

The way it’s setup too; Joon goes first, then Saeko, then Adachi, and then Ichiban goes last and does the most damage in my party.

good job you do on your channel. subbed
With Adachi (Foreman) Help me a lot on bosses

I think I'm going to copy your party choices (switch as needed, like between Fortuneteller and Host for Hibana depending on what I need at the moment, but make sure their both leveled as well so that way they're ready to go with skills and bonus stats.) If that helps you answer my question
Your party seems pretty appealing to me...just want to know if any extra skills with them will help push them to that "next level" 😉.
(PS: Especially for the ladies. I know Idol is the go to, but any of their other Job skills worth bringing along for their Idol Roles?)
If you're doing post game content, get the fire ability from Demolisher class for your male characters. The females can also learn a water spell from hostess
if I want to have a party of buffer, debuffer, physical attacker, and magic attacker, what jobs and party members combination do you suggest?
Thanks for the guide as always!
There isn't one job for each specific role per se, but to fulfill what you are looking for: Hero, Idol, Musician, Host, Hitman + other would suffice.
I run ibachi as hero, namba as homeless, adachi as enforcer and idol. So far haven’t lost a single battle and im lv 50

Nice video! How do I get the "WEAK" to prompt upon target selection like in Persona??
you need to hit the enemy with their damage weakness, check the sujimon index on the smartphone to see it mate

It's fixed yesterday. I don't even know such thing exist. I've been studying the sujidex like any sujimon master should lol.
Just got the AoE bat from the arena and you weren’t kidding. Shit shreds
How do you get this item?
Éri is a beast
Small critique or suggestion. Since I am assuming this is an "English Gaming" Channel it would have been nice if you actually used the English version of the game. That way when you showed us the jobs we would actually understand/read the attacks/spell they have.
Can't use a version I don't own; and waiting until the western release to make content would make it so all of my content would come out weeks later.

I agree with most of what you said but I still don’t know how Adachi can make a good Musician. Tbh that role seems to be filled nicely by Nanba.
I explain why Adachi is the best Musician; what he is best at isn't that good in Yakuza 7 and the Musician is a job you definitely want, thus he is the most natural fit. You could make Namba one, but then you give up the best Host or Fortune Teller.
