There's always be a debate about who is the GOAT. But I love how D Wade said, that everybody has his own GOAT on which we grew up. For him it was MJ as he said. For me it's always Kobe. But there's no doubt that all them are one of the best in the history of sports

Jordan’s brand was advertised and distributed worldwide because all NIKE had was Jordan. Then to have Pippen his whole Title career and before. If Lebron had Wade or Kyrie on the same team most of his career and the owners put good role players around him then Bron could’ve easily had 7 titles

These conversations used to be more fun. But it seems like now, neither side can give their opinion without the other side losing their mind. There’s no doubt they’re the top 2 anymore. Even for someone like me who grew up in the Magic, Bird, Mike era, and was resistant to the new guys breaking into that conversation, I will admit that Bron most certainly has. For me, it’s Mike, and will probably always be Mike. I’m pushing 50, so for guys my age MJ was basically “God disguised as a basketball player” to spin a quote from Larry. I wasn’t a Bulls fan, but MJ was must watch tv every single night. But it’s fair to point out that MJ didn’t have team success as quickly as Lebron. That’s a fair counter argument from Bron fans. However, for me, watching MJ learn how to win, and then become the MASTER at winning, was the funnest part of the ride. It was obvious from day one that Mike was the single best player in the league. And we all knew, once he got over that hump of learning how to not just be the best, but how to be the best and win, NOBODY was stopping him. And that’s exactly what happened. At this point I think it’s fair to say Bron had the better career in terms of longevity and filling the stat line outside of scoring, but at their PEAK, MJ is still unmatched. Final point: give Lebron the body of MJ, and who is he? Still great, no doubt, but probably not in this debate. Now give MJ the body of Lebron James and we’re talking about a guy who goes 13 for 13 instead of 6 for 6. That all said, those of us who got to watch both of their careers are very lucky and I have no beef with younger LBJ fans who are adamant that he’s the Goat.

LBJ hasn't surpassed Kobe yet imo. Kobe was on Mike's level (but still not greater; Kobe was the student and Mike was the teacher). Also, LBJ is still chasin Magic's greatness; Magic did more in much less time. 5 rings in 13 seasons.
Magic came into the league having KAJ, Michael Cooper, and Jamaal Wilkes as teammates… of course he was gonna do more in less time. Also James Worthy and AC Green. Kobe had Shaq in his prime. I can’t think of any other teammate of LBJ of that caliber up until he left for the Heat to join Wade and Bosh.
@alfredoladino9838 Outside of Cap (Kareem), Magic made all players u named better. They leaned on Magic, not vice versa. Worthy came in '82 (I could be wrong) so the Lakers had win 2 titles already. In '07 LBJ had a solid squad too, others teams were just better. Larry Hughes, Drew Gooden, Booby, David Wesley, Verajão, Damon Jones, Ilgauskas, and Damon Jones. They were good.

That’s why I hate comparing the two. Both my favorite players all time and I think they are both greats in their own unique ways. I honestly hate it when we have to compare the two all the time because they are completely different players and their play styles are different

To become the goat, not only you have to be the best player in your era, but also have to be extremely lucky, you have to have good teammates and good coaches around you to help you to win the championship, and you have to be at the right time to gain the most commercial value, in this regard, Jordan is luckier than James.

I'm sorry but if jordan playing with 1 player who ever mad an allstar gam on those bulls tams vs the 2 t jazz times with 2 hof's, the supersonics with a hof and a perineal allstar. The trail blazers were mid. A 62 win suns team. And then had to beat james worthy and magic. Bron atleast had help. He face the warriors 4 times. And kyrie was better than curry in most of those finals appearances. The spurs team was above average for a finals team at best and any loss with the heat especially 2011 is just sad. Also he would probably not be in the goat conversation if he didn't play in this era. If h had played in jordans era with real defense, he would average less points, and he already averages less than jordan. He also wouldn't be the all time leading scorer bc the defense of that era would wear him down way quicker. The worst 2 teams bron has won a finals with was him and adisney in the bubble against jimmy butler and bam. And the scond worst was with prim kevin love and a near prime kyrie against the 73 win warriors team. This is on of the only times ive seen bron be clutch. Even still kyrie hit the shot and ray allen did as well.
