    Interesting. Before I put the lubricant on the inner sleeve, I use a snake on the outer slide and then a swab on the same outer slide to get any dirt out. If for some reason I'm away from home, wipe off the inner tubes, re-insert the inner slide into the outer slide, take it out and wipe it down again. I do this three times, maybe more if it doesn't come out clean. Only they do I apply the lubricant. I've been using so-called "Yamaha snot" for several years and like it better than slide-o-mix, but that's personal preference.
    I'm buying a new shires bass in the next couple of weeks and will see what they recommend.

    Hi Keith! Thanks for this instructional video! Not only do we need to apply care to our inner slide just like you've shown us, but do we also need to do anything with the outer sleeve as well? Cleaning wise?

    What type of water is used in the spray, is it plain water or water that has been mixed with soap?

      Hello there, ALDI! I've heard regular Distilled water would be better, that it shouldn't have as much contaminants like other liquids.
