Polyphony Digital and Sony Honda Mobility Announce Partnership in Vehicle Development

- Sony Honda Mobility Inc. (SHM) will exhibit a booth at CES® 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 (local time).
In advance of CES® being opened to the public, Sony’s press conference was held on Monday, January 8 (local time). Representative Director, President and COO Izumi Kawanishi took the stage.
During the press conference, SHM announced a collaboration with Polyphony Digital Inc. a subsidiary of Sony Interactive Entertainment, (Polyphony Digital; Head Office: Koto-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Kazunori Yamauchi) in real world vehicle development. The following is a summary of the announcement of this collaboration at the press conference.

Yes, PD can make cool trailer like that but the in-game replay camera aren't as good.
man the camera movement for the shot of the e92 m3 and e60 m5 on ssrx in gt5 trailers is so good
@@johnsonluk3468 in game replay is a mix between real life and game, and sincerely you're the first one I've seen complaining about their replay cams, since the majority says that PD got the best replays in the business by literally mixing real life and game style
None can move a camera around a car more elegantly than PD.

When was the last time Polyphony Digital collaborated with a manufacturer to help produce a car, because I like this car, looks promising.
In a production car? I recall they had a hand in the current gen Supra, but the last time they got involved was last year with Nissan, when they designed the interior for the Hyper Force concept
They played part in design of R35
R35 UI was designed by PD using a mix of GT4/GT5 typefonts and graphics. They've repeated this with the Hyper Force concept.
The 2020 Supra was given performance adjustments based on user feedback of the 2019 Supra when they held the online Supra cup in GTS and it's reflected in the real life version.
Always wanted the Sony car in GT ever since the Vision S was revealed.
At least now we know that the Sony EV is also a Honda.

Its been insane to watch to watch the growth of Polyphony and Gran Turismo over the years.

Afeela bit let down we haven't had any more new Gr3 or Gr4 cars or some current Super GT cars
Thats not what gran turismo is about most cars rhat are in GR3 class dont belong in the real GT3 class they have a license on some cars but far from all them some cars are even made up by themselves in collaboration with said manufactorer they do not have a license for official gt3 cars they can only mimic GT3 with GR3 in gran turismo
A fella on the internet told me that we all play Gran Turismo to enjoy the pure sounds and sensation of internal combustion engined cars at a budget and with a low carbon footprint. I pointed him to the already availlable abundance of useless and boring electric vehicles in the game, plus the utterly pointless Hagerty legends dealership that artificially holds back many of the cars we most want to use behind an over-priced pay-wall.
Sad and true.

Car development is certainly good, but where are the game updates? It's been two months since the spec 2 update... Is support for the game finished?
Game still has day 1 bugs and problems from nearly 2 years ago, 0 communication from PD. Yet the fanbase will gobble it up. This game is a prime example of everything wrong with modern sony and its fans

I was researching earlier about the potential lap times for the Cadillac lmdh in grand valley and it could probably do a possible sub 2 minutes and a predictive 1 : 45 around the track if this car was the most important race car

it makes sense to at least be able to remove the software limiter. Unfortunately PD seems to not really care too much about EVs so I don't expect it.

Could you bring a feature into the game allow we see the times of the people we follow in the career mode (World Circuits, License Center, Missions, Sport) chart, currently we can only see the times of those who are our friends on the PlayStation network, I think it would be cool to be able to see the times in career mode and records of the UA-camrs I watch and there could also be an option to see the times of the GT World Series finalists, it would be cool to be able to compare my records with those of the best in the world!

Nice and I honestly would love and wish if gt7 would add some more shelbys like the 2014 gt500 and the 2021 shelby gt500 what's the carbon fiber Track Pack and even maybe something like on the new 2021 Shelby Baja Raptor or even some of the newer Super Snake Mustangs or even the new Super Snake trucks would be cool
Can we update the racecars in the game to their recent versions first? Maybe add some 90's Super Touring cars too? The Hyundai N cars would be nice as well. I can think of a lot more that the game needs than adding stuff like this.

Hola, buenas tardes, GT7, estoy solicitando esto a varios youtubers, aprovechando vuestra audiencia e impacto en la opinión general sobre el juego.
Cuando grabas una carrera, y luego quieres reproducirla o compartirla, los tiempos de diferencia del de delante y del de detrás no se reflejan en los datos de carrera en pantalla, solamente muestra la posición. ¿Podrían reclamar en sus vídeos a GT7 este hecho, que sin duda haría más apetecible y emocionante ver una carrera en UA-cam, por poner un ejemplo?, o incluso mandando un email, donde proceda, hablándo sobre ello.
No siempre el público, (tus seguidores), pueden ver en directo la carrera, que es el único modo de acceder a estos datos que la repetición oculta y de este modo podrían verla cuando quisieran y la harían tan emocionante como las verdaderas, siguiendo a sus pilotos preferidos y viendo sus competiciones y evoluciones. Si colaboramos todos en cualquier actualización de GT7, vendría la corrección de ese error. Gracias. Un saludo !!

Polyphony still hasn’t brought back Pikes Peak Uphill and Downhill Touge track, including 1986 Toyota MR2 AW11 G-Limited Supercharged, 1991 Honda Civic EG6 SiR, 1991 Peugeot 106 Rallye Phase 1, 1992 Mazda RX-7 FD3S Type RZ and Chevrolet Stingray C2 “67 model. We really want these cars back in GT7 so bad.

No Corvette C5, no Toyota Celica ST182 nor ST185, no Dodge Neon, no old Honda Accords... And no hundreds more cars. Granturismo is always disappointing me more and more with every release.
May GT2 and GT4 rest in peace. The best GranTurismo's EVER.
The biggest problem with gt7 is not with the cars, its the single player and overall economy, cars is much more detailed now than they ever was earlier in the franshise, so its going to take time to get all cars we want
This certainly is the car of all time.
