Honestly good for her for being so open minded. That's a real music fan right there. I hate it when people stop a song if it's "scary" or "angry" or whatever. That's the whole point of music, and she gets it 👏🙌
Yeah I know... seeing her and Elizabeth from Charismatic Voice has taught me that I must only date girls who are either musicians or in love with music. Those are my main values for being with someone and nothing else matters
The one with the piercing eyes is named Mick Thompson. He's a big guy too 6'4. At a show of their's once he was staring right at me because I am 6'6 myself so my head generally sticks over the crowd and lots of artists eyes just naturally get drawn to me when they look into the audience. Anyways his stare is indeed intimidating even more so live haha.
So happy you decided react to this song from this amazing band. Struggling with depression all my life I have adopted this song as a sort of mantra. It's affected me so deeply I got the chorus tattooed on my forearm. Thank you Ray❤
No one can understand when, at the one part of the song, I suddenly shout "You've killed the saint in me!"... If they'd lived my life they'd understand the rage I feel everytime I hear that line...
Nice reaction! Fun fact: they change masks and outfits every album cycle, some of them make little changes (like the 2 guitar players) but others (like Corey and Sid) have completely different ones. I would like to suggest you to react to some of their older stuff, Left Behind is one my all time favorites, and the video clip is very movie-like and scary.
His name is Mick Thompson. And he is not only a beast, but a legend. His is one of the Slipknot masks that have not actually changed over time. You don't mess with perfection. He is Number Seven. And he deserves all of the respect.
This is the song that really got me into Slipknot and it's still one of my all time favorites, a lot of people I know who don't really care for Slipknot or metal in general really like Unsainted.
@@puppetmaster8551 it’s just harder to find because a lot of the best and most popular bands stopped making good songs. for example metallicas new songs don’t suck but they defenitlet aren’t as good as they used to be

This has been one of my favorite “newer” Slipknot songs ever since it released, and I love how excited you got about the masks! Honestly, I think these are some of the best masks they ever had, especially Shawn and Sid’s. Corey’s is….interesting lol, but I kind of appreciate how its nothing like any he’s ever had before.
I love this song, Cause I believe it's one of the first times we see their two new members in action. The new drummer is killing it, and the new bassist is as well. Great additions to the band. Slipknot also makes new masks every album cycle.
Amazing reaction!! At this stage Slipknot had "replaced" 3 of the members in the previous songs that you have reacted from them (Joey the drummer, Paul the bassist and Chris, one of the percussions) I am loving your journey with Slipknot and I can't wait for you to get to the Iowa album which is reported as the darkest and heaviest era from them. I recommend starting with Left behind, one of my favourite. Much love ❤
This is, unfortunately, true. Joey left the band due to an autoimmunity disorder (transverse myelitis) that, for a while, stopped him being able to use his legs properly. He has since passed. RIP Joey! Paul died of heart failure, as well. RIP Paul! Chris left the band for a number of reasons. The new drummer, Jay Weinberg, is the son of Bruce Spingsteen's drummer Max Weinberg, and he's a BEAST. As for the masks, there are regular changes to them. Sometimes those changes are hardly noticeable, other times they are significant.
Every album cycle, some members keep the same mask design, some altered them slightly, Sid and Corey always have something completely different. Not to mention there are a few new members in the band. Glad you dig Slipknot! Instant subscribe!
I bet you will love "Yen" also by Slipknot that song surprised everyone I think... And "Adderall" off the latest album such a great song as well totally different for them but I love it!

The fact she kept staring into the demonic eyes of Mick Thompson and kept losing it brought me joy, the man is a menacing figure just by his size compared to the rest of the band!
Mostly, this is about how people idolize the band, and they are just like "hey, we're just like you, we are only human beings". Saints typically sacrifice themselves in the service of others and Corey is saying I wouldn't sacrifice myself to save my own soul, why would you think I would save yours (for example)? The guy with the piercing eyes is Mick Thomson and he has always been my personal favorite member of the band. He is one of two people who play guitar mostly, Jim Root is the other one with the white half mask. Mick is also known as "SEVEN of NINE" from when they first started out, hence the SEVEN tattoo on his arm.

I think it would be cool to see you do some reactions to some of the songs from the band “In This Moment” I think you would enjoy hearing some of Maria Brinks vocals and her growls
So I just want to explain the mask changes a little bit. There are some which are just band members changing their masks like Corey's but not all. A lot of the band members tend to keep their masks pretty similar from album to album so some of the new ones you see are because of new band members that joined after All Hope Is Gone (the closest previous album from them that you've reacted to songs from). Paul Grey who was the bassist for the rest of the slipknot songs you've seen died in 2010 which was 2 years after All Hope is Gone, the drummer Joey Jordison left in 2013 for health reasons which kept him from being able to play drums as well as he used to (he died in 2021) and Chris Fehn who was one of the percussionists left the band right before this album. The band replaced all of them and instead of having the new members use similar masks to them they gave them new masks.
You should listen to older Slipknot, like Me Inside or Purity from the first self-titled album or Disasterpiece or Skin Ticket from Iowa. Love watching your reactions!
