The one with the piercing eyes is named Mick Thompson. He's a big guy too 6'4. At a show of their's once he was staring right at me because I am 6'6 myself so my head generally sticks over the crowd and lots of artists eyes just naturally get drawn to me when they look into the audience. Anyways his stare is indeed intimidating even more so live haha.

Nice reaction! Fun fact: they change masks and outfits every album cycle, some of them make little changes (like the 2 guitar players) but others (like Corey and Sid) have completely different ones.
I would like to suggest you to react to some of their older stuff, Left Behind is one my all time favorites, and the video clip is very movie-like and scary.

For most of them the mask is how they feel on the inside
His name is Mick Thompson. And he is not only a beast, but a legend. His is one of the Slipknot masks that have not actually changed over time. You don't mess with perfection. He is Number Seven. And he deserves all of the respect.

There is as much good metal out there as there ever has been, it’s just not mainstream anymore so you have to search for a lot of it
@@puppetmaster8551 it’s just harder to find because a lot of the best and most popular bands stopped making good songs. for example metallicas new songs don’t suck but they defenitlet aren’t as good as they used to be
@@Jucified7062 I more into more extreme metal like death metal melodeath and melodic death/doom and there is so much good metal out there, you really just gotta look for it because it’s not the stuff that is popular these days. I still listen to Metallica occasionally but I get far more enjoyment listening to melodeath bands and there is a whole load of good melodeath out there. Metal just isn’t mainstream at all these days outside of like a few huge bands but there is still so much good metal out there you just gotta dig a little deeper to find it.

This is the song that really got me into Slipknot and it's still one of my all time favorites, a lot of people I know who don't really care for Slipknot or metal in general really like Unsainted.
Corey wasn't a fan of the choir in the layers but once he heard it in the mix, he loved it... great reaction to an awesome track ❤
This has been one of my favorite “newer” Slipknot songs ever since it released, and I love how excited you got about the masks! Honestly, I think these are some of the best masks they ever had, especially Shawn and Sid’s. Corey’s is….interesting lol, but I kind of appreciate how its nothing like any he’s ever had before.

I love this song, Cause I believe it's one of the first times we see their two new members in action. The new drummer is killing it, and the new bassist is as well. Great additions to the band. Slipknot also makes new masks every album cycle.

I am loving your journey with Slipknot and I can't wait for you to get to the Iowa album which is reported as the darkest and heaviest era from them. I recommend starting with Left behind, one of my favourite.

This is, unfortunately, true. Joey left the band due to an autoimmunity disorder (transverse myelitis) that, for a while, stopped him being able to use his legs properly. He has since passed. RIP Joey! Paul died of heart failure, as well. RIP Paul! Chris left the band for a number of reasons. The new drummer, Jay Weinberg, is the son of Bruce Spingsteen's drummer Max Weinberg, and he's a BEAST.
As for the masks, there are regular changes to them. Sometimes those changes are hardly noticeable, other times they are significant.

Yeah one thing you will notice with Slipknot is they get new mask redesigns for every new album. Keeps them fresh. The biggest jump in masks was from the second album (Iowa) to the third one (Vol 3: The subliminal verses)
first time watching you one of these and when you said that it makes you want to grind you're teeth i laughed so danm hard😂 i get what you mean. you remind me of me when i really got into metal. its just so danm exciting isnt it? especially as a singer its so danm hard to do. i sang 15 years before i could do those mid range screams you mentioned. and im not going to stop til im able to do bodies by drowning pool lol if you have heard that one you should. its earl 2000's in all the right ways if you know what i mean.
Slipknot changes their masks about once per album. The one that referring to with the "eyes" is Mick Thompson. He's one of their guitar players. Also, I know this is off topic, but I really like your hair along with that color of shirt. It's adorable. Keep it metal. \m/

Song is written in old style nord music but still this hits deep. Aurora is quite famous today and has a very unique voice.

Mostly, this is about how people idolize the band, and they are just like "hey, we're just like you, we are only human beings". Saints typically sacrifice themselves in the service of others and Corey is saying I wouldn't sacrifice myself to save my own soul, why would you think I would save yours (for example)? The guy with the piercing eyes is Mick Thomson and he has always been my personal favorite member of the band. He is one of two people who play guitar mostly, Jim Root is the other one with the white half mask. Mick is also known as "SEVEN of NINE" from when they first started out, hence the SEVEN tattoo on his arm.
