Chris is afraid of birds, Craig is afraid of dogs, Mick is afraid of that one scene in Poltergeist, Corey and Jim hate explosions.
Sid hates eating himself
@@jawndog1975 relatable.
well thats just a normal day for sid@@jawndog1975
@@jawndog1975 hate when that happens to me
Not, the cannibalism😐
The deaths were based on their real fears
Sid’s scared of eating himself?
@@rextx0919 His death is related to his ability to play his turntables, so he eats his hands and arms and from what we can assume he bleeds out.
There is a great behind the scenes with an attached interview from Shawn that explains it all on Slipknot's official UA-cam page
He ain’t lyin!
@rextx0919 its basically, a DJ with no fingers/hands..... wouldn't work too well
Out of all their songs, this one is the one I relate to the most and it's gotten me out of a few bad situations in my life. This is straight from Corey's mouth: "The Devil In I' is really about the war inside yourself," he said. "Trying not to give into defeatism, trying not to give into negativity, trying not to give up basically. It's a struggle. It's one of the hardest thing you can do, is to give in to that side of yourself."
I was gonna say, I remember hearing or reading about what we see them doing is basically killing a part of themselves, but didn't know it was about overcoming fears and not giving into that defeat. The more you learn 👍
I second that, for me it also reminds of the rock bottom I've hit, and the inability to explain to myself why we're here, why I've led us here, and why do we suffer now without having anyone to blame - inability to let go of the things we've done, be them wrong or just outright stupid, and accepting that we made the best decisions we could based on the experience we had. It's perfectly fine to make mistakes, no need to blame some part of me for that - I'm not the devil anymore.
same. its my favorite.
Damn that's a deep way of looking at it too. I take solace (is this the right word?) in the fact that each time I have to struggle with the inner demons, I become stronger as a human being. Maybe saying it gives me hope is a better way to say it now that I think about it. @@necree509
This reminds me of a topic Jordan Peterson spoke about. Something along the lines of you need to bur the dead wood in order to grow new branches or something like that and I feel like that is similar to the struggle we have with our selves as humans in general. It's such a work of art and it's one of the many reasons they have such a strong fan base.@@markbaltazar6916
I don’t know if you noticed, but in every death scene, they’re wearing masks from the previous tour. Symbolizing the death of the old versions of themselves
I did not! But it makes sense with the initiation of the new band members!
@@rayactionstheir music videos are always interesting! Check out Yen if you wanna know what direction they’re going in now!
Первые три альбома - да. Было интересно. С уходом Джордисона ушла и их основная фишка - дикие ударные. И дело не в технике.
Ahhh cool❤
There is a behind the scenes video where shawn (Clown) explains what the video is about and that each member decides how they want to die. My favorite is when Chris said birds because he is actually afraid of birds lol.
I am pretty sure that the video is about the way of death that they fear the most, not a choice of death.
^
The Devil in I introduces Jay and Alex to Slipknot.
One of the greatest songs ever created by Slipknot! Brilliant
Facts
This is probably the most powerful Slipknot song ever recorded, not for the music itself...but the lyrics and music video. Amazing Analysis of the song ❤
I love how dark they go. The visuals are always on point. Did you catch who the two wheelchair pincushions were? The two newbs! Alessandro Venturella on bass (previously the guitarist of Cry for Silence) and Jay Weinberg on drums (previously from The Reveling, Against Me! and the son of American drummer Max Weinberg of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band). I love fun facts.
*The two newbs at the time. They've added more since!
Max Weinberg also from Conan O'Brien.
@@kevinstull8552 more like Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band.
Higly recommend you "Sulfur" and "Dead Memories". Think you will like it.
In this video Slipknot already have their new bassist and drummer. We miss Paul and Joey still. R.I.P
Rip.
I miss Paul and Joey so much.. albeit the hate they receive, it's awesome they continue to do what Paul would have them do. Create beautiful music and art
YES! I just rewatched your reactions to Slipknot last night and I was wondering if we'd get another soon. Love your thoughts and expressions!
Finally Slipknot again 🥰
I absolutely love how, watching Ray's first Slipknot reaction video, she was super shocked and almost scared it appeared. Whereas several slipknot reviews later she's right into it! Its Great!
This is only the second time I heard this song. Actually listening to the lyrics this time around is so powerful. This definitely one of my faves from them. Oh and Ray….enough pausing at the last minute!!!! GOSH!!! Loved the reaction ❤
Loved your raw reaction!! Another winner!!
This is one of my all time favorite slipknot songs to hear and play. I didn't know that they all decided their own death style based on real life worst fears. It seemed to represent the old slipknot falling away and the new form rising up after with the 2 new guys stepping in to fill in the voids left after the departure of 2 original members. They come back with new jumpsuits, masks, somewhat different sound, different visuals and even new instruments. This is where Jim switches from the telecaster style to the new jazzmaster style and Mick from his B.C. Rich and Ilbanez to his new Jackson soloist.
RIP Paul and Joey
I was waiting on this one. Your expressions are great 💯
As others states, in a behind the scenes for this video, Clown stated these deaths are based on how they wouldn't want to die.
Good reaction!
Love this song, love your reactions, love Metal!
Finally! Never get old ! Love you ❤
You made great observations, I've known the music for years and missed some of them.
Your reactions are so
Genuine, I appreciate the authenticity. I absolutely love this song, this one and unsainted are some of my favorites from slipknot
I love how you have learned the names of the band and how you have been watching the videos you have learned all the things about them and become a fan.
I love this slipknot song. I’ve always found it so hard yet so sonicly pleasing. But the video is definitely a distraction for new listeners. Live, it’s so dope. Clown throws down on a keg, and it just gets you pumped.
Fun fact: the current drummer is the son of Max Weinberg, the guy who drummed for and led Conan O'Brien's band (and Bruce Springsteen lmao). He's got a UA-cam channel here (Jay Weinberg) and he has a ton of Drum Cams from live shows.
Love your pure reaction ❤ slipknot❤❤❤❤
0:27 LOVE your enthusiasm! Keep Rocking!
I love the riffs in this song
"And now I feel like a ding dong..."
I love you, Ray. 😂😂😂
This was the first slipknot song i ever heard and i can safely say the music video traumatized me, i did become a fan later tho and now its one of my favourites
I am literally in love with you thank for reacting to slipknot
I'm on a binge watch of Ray pausing with the songs almost at the ending.
Slipknot é outro nível 🤘🏻🤘🏻
your reactions are priceless
Hahaha Ray you have such an adorable personality 😂
Love seeing the progression of your bass face
So the deaths in the video are them in their old masks, so they're killing their old selves to make way for this new chapter in the band. Then the two people in the wheelchair who get stabbed were the two new members that joined after Paul passed away and Joey left. So their "death" was their initiation into the band by the other band members.
The studio version is pretty cool, but I prefer it live.
That version is sensational, detail that Corey's voice is angelic and demonic at the same time.
Its True! she should have choice the song live
"Allegorical" means using characters or events in a story, play, picture, or other work to represent moral, religious, or political qualities or ideas. For example, "The dancers allegorically represent a human failure to connect".
Allegories are used in storytelling to communicate something symbolic, whether it be moralistic or political. Allegories have both a literal and symbolic meaning. The literary device personification, giving human qualities to nonhuman things, is often employed in allegories, especially in fables.
😂😂😂...I love your reaction on your face😂😂😂....Greetings from South Africa 👏👏👏
Awesome reaction, love this song:)) would be awesome to see u take on some more megadeth
Ive never related more to a lyric than "undo these chains my friend ill show you the rage ive hidden"....idk what that says about me but thats real lol
The two people in wheel chairs that they stab are the two new members that joined, that was there initiation into the band.
ohhhhhhhh
@rayactions hey check out Corey Taylor - Home/ Zzyzx Rd. [ Live At The Forum] Promise you will love it! I possibly cried hearing it, and I hadn't cried since Groott died.. 😢 so yeah
i remember seeing this intro in concert it was epic 🔥👀😅😅🥰
Exelente reaccion...Saludos desde Argentina
"It begins! >:) .... oh dear." LOL that got me
in case anyone didn't know it, it was directed by Clown and he asked how everyone would like to die. it resulted to this; and Sid wasn't eating others' fingers, it's his own fingers. he imagined himself dying eating his own body.
More Slipknot pls, they are from my hometown!
You're funny, you're reactions are great, you're a Stunner! definitely will be checking out more content 🤟
Request:Slipknot-Spit it out-Live Download 2009
That was an amusing reaction, but probably not for the reasons you originally intended. Watching your facial expression alternate between "this is awesome" and "horror" was about what I expected when I saw what video you were reacting to. Glad that you liked it in the end, it's probably my personal favorite song of theirs. If you're looking for something less intense to react to after that, I'll suggest "Dead Inside" by Muse or "Rolling 7s" by Dirty Honey (rock band with great vocals).
The video is mostly them coming to terms with the fact that their old selves need to die, and they decide to give them a fitting end after everything is said and done. This was also after both Paul and Joey passed away (but before Chris departed) so the two in the wheelchair are the new members Jay (drums) and Allesandro (bass) and in the video they kind of "jump them in" as an initiation to joining the band. btw "jumping in" is what street gangs do to new members as an initiation rite, where they basically beat the hell out of you to see if you can survive or not. If you survive then you are in. Apparently in Slipknot, they stab you to death instead.
Next Slipknot killpop 🤘🏻🔥
today I was wondering how your reaction to this video would be, here you come and react, thank you very much
Please react to a song from the IOWA album, considered to be their best album. It has most of their classics
iowa is the fucking best slipknot album ever :D
@@michimuller7818 Self-titled is on the same level tbh
She will eventually but you know how this works, shes gonna only react to the mainstream stuff or stuff that has Official video, as you can see in all of her videos, I expect her to react to Left behind From that album and thats it since its the only one with official music video, and with some luck probably disasterpieces People = sh.t
Ha Ha i watch a lot of reaction vids but yours hands down are the best in regards your facial expressions ;)
You have a great personality!
Your outfit looks great next to your hair. I love the crazy faces you make. 🥰
Theres actually a behind the scenes for the music video which explains basically all the gruesome things happening
Glad you liked it.
I have to get up for work in a few hours, but dang it I can't stop watching these reactions
You should check out Stone Sour - Gone Sovereign/Absolute Zero. Corey Taylor's other band that he started before joining Slipknot. It also featured Slipknot guitarist James Root. He was a member from 1995-1997 and again from 2000-2014. They were on hiatus for 3 years between 1997-2000. Stone Sour are still recording and touring when Corey Taylor are not doing Slipknot. They have released 6 albums from 2002-2017
The Negative One next :D Great reaction!
We need a video of her singing. 😮❤
My favorite song off this album was Kilpop. I think you would enjoy it
3 minutes into this reaction video and I’m not surprised by the deer in headlights reaction
I recommend "the warning-revenant" live at teatro metropolitan
The two members in white were the new guys at the time jay and v man drummer and bass this is like their welcoming into the group as a little side note I believe
My favorite music reactor
Ok this video was symbolic, the 2 guys in the wheel chairs driving around are the new members being brought in the group while seeing what the original members are going through since the og bass player Paul grey died and the og drummer Joey jordison was diagnosed with Ms and had to leave the band. But each member is dying inside their own way
"Why is he double tapping?" I was not expecting you to make that comment during that part lol
I ain’t gonna lie when I commented saying you should react to this I thought it woulda got lost amongst the other comments 😂
That music and video is very macabre 😅 I still remember the first time I saw it and... Shocked
the tongue poses 🤘 😛 ! haha keep em coming, so fun
Slipknot - Before I Forget I do think this should be your next reaction in your Slipknot journey if you don't have anything planned out yet. I think everyone would agree :)
theyre killing off their old selves (them in their previous masks) i believe
Y es como que representa el sacrificio y camino duro que lleva a estar donde están, por eso a los miembros nuevos los acuchillan, como dando bienvenida a ese duro camino
I think I fell in love, where do you get one like this?
Please do Dead Memories from Slipknot, it is a masterpiece
The devil in i definitely made my 12 years old me flabbergasted... And that was 5 years ago
beautiful, thank you
you're amazing ;p
They have a small documentary on this song you should watch it's very informative
Slipknot awesome 💯💯💯💯💯
i would recommend you to see any song from the Iowa album, especially the Left Behind whis has an music video.
devil in i is a very good song, it is my favorite
Love how you watch the murder scene with a smile on your face, cute. 🫰🏽
omg bests reactions hehe
Someone in the comments said the deaths are based on their fears. I want to elaborate on 2 of them. The drummer and bassist. At this point they were very new ro the band. Joey Jordisen had quit the band, he as since passed away and their bassist Paul Grey had passed away. Im the video it shows them getting stabbed by the rest of the members. This is supposed to represent the pressure they of being able to fill the shoes of these legends.
I'ts great to see her go from being almost afraid of em to smiling and nervously giggling when they start. I do believe we have a new Slipknot fan. On another note, as a female she may not really relate to it but for a male audience, we have that devil in us. As a women she truley dosn't comprehend what most men are capable of.
Women also have internal battles, we are not too different from men, you know?
I want someone to look at me the way Rayactions looks at Slipknot videos. With a very interested but visibly disturbed face hahaha
It's about an abusive relationship
Corey dated a monster.
Also it' initiating the new members into the band
@Rayactions for some reason you remind me of a person I know. But her name is Reanne. But anyways love your reactions keep it up.
You got a like for laughing when the first person exploded 😂
The devil in I is for everyone because we have all been there and are choosing to decide to try to be better
Devil in i concert is perfect….
Just wanted to say you are very beautiful and i love the reactions. Have a great day!
Great one!!! I suggest taphephobia from Infected Rain, the video version on studio that only shows her singing! But they have a lot of great songs and videos! :D
(and I just love how you react to graphic stuff, you're so cuuuute and at the same time so transparent and reactive hahahahahaha)
This song is so heavy and dark
PLEASE LISTEN TO [SIC] by slipknot live at msg 2009 THE BACKING VOCALS ARE INSANEEEE
