They're not new to me, but they are my current favorites. I highly recommend them. This was such a wonderful song. I've loved it since the first time I heard it. It was such a great return for Slipknot. The newer members are killing it, even though they have big shoes to fill. In terms of the masks, I think it's sort of like getting into a character. It helps you to let out all that aggression and let it stay on that character instead of it being you. It's like a stage show. It's all in good fun. People who claim they are satanic have no idea what they are talking about.

The first time I saw this I had goosebumps by the time I heard the choir. I was pleasantly surprised to hear and see this magnificent song, it was so complete. Just so SlipKnoT.
This is one of my favorite Slipknot songs not because of aggression but because of the lyrics. Simply awesome and from my perception accurate to the journey of life.
You have to react to their older stuff. The Debut Album from Slipknot was very HEAVY and their best work. SIC, SPIT IT OUT, WAIT AND BLEED, EYELESS & LIBERATE are Amazing. And when you listen to that, you see Slipknot at a whole different Level.
You know, I would call their early work "different", not "the best". My opinion is that each album is unique and beautiful in its own way. The band changes and experiments, that's why I love Slipknot. Their albums are heavier, it's true, but the last two albums are beautiful in their technical part and lyrical content. Nero Forte is a huge favorite and really shows Corey and the band's skills well. It's very easy to listen to and grabs your attention like non other. Plus the video is awesome. I watch your channel all the time and I love it and I see your style, so I know you'll love the track.
They're on tour right now! Saw them in Montréal last Thursday, they put on an amazing show and completely packed that stadium. Being in the crowd singing along to this was an awesome experience.

Just personally I disagree. I think download from 2009 was them at their peak. Corey quit smoking around a year earlier so his voice recovered. Joey was still tearing it up and Jim’s best tone was at that concert. They could just never get it right again like they did with that show. I mean just they’re best show and live performance. Not as far as albums. Or songs

This shows my age, but I was a teenager when Slipknot released first album and it became my favourite band for the rest of my life. You have no idea how groundbreaking and fresh that band was at that time. I hope you will react to some of the older songs from Slipknot or Iowa. Do Critical Darling off We Are Not Your Kind, it's energetic and has a filthy bass riff that makes you head bang. So glad you're discovering the Knot, I myself hadn't listened to them for a long time and have recently picked them back up, they are insanely good. Corey is the man. Story time : I am a drummer influenced heavily by Late great Joey Jordison and I'm a huge Slipknot fan ( the first ink I got was the Slipknot logo on my forearm ) And I'm Persian ( living in Iran ) that means I can't see Slipknot live unless they come to a neighbour country . back in 2011 Slipknot came to Turkey and that was my chance to see them live for the first time . I started to save money to attend this concert and then boom things led to one another and I was at a crossroad : 1. Watching Slipknot live for the first time Or 2. Buying my first ever drumkit Long story short , I went for the drumkit and missed my chance to see Slipknot and the man who inspired me to be a drummer before he passed away . Still to this day I haven't seen Slipknot live but I became one of the best drummers in my town thanks to them and Joey ( Rest in peace #1 ) ♥️

Drummer of Slipknot is Jay Weinberg, son of Max Weinberg. Max is longtime drummer for Bruce Springsteen and E Street Band. Jay replaced Slipknot's cofounder, Joey Jordison who recently died in July of 2021 at the age 46. Joey left Slipknot or he stated that he was fired, but Joey suffered medical issue with spinal cord affected his drumming.

Metal has always been something special. A physical and mental release that can't be found elsewhere in music. If you haven't, please listen to Lamb of God; "Killadelphia" is a great starting point(concert dvd/album). The opening is sung acapella in Arabic. As for more Slipknot, AOV(Approaching Original Violence) is great. There is an overwhelming amount of great music to enjoy out there.
As much as I love their recent stuff, Iowa (from 2001, I think) will always be the perfect album in my eyes. People = Shit and Disasterpiece are amazing, while Gently is a quieter masterpiece that eventually kicks off hard. And then there's the titular Iowa, of course. Damn, it's good.
I feel the same way. I went to Mayhem to see a few other bands and decided I might as well check them out since I'm already here. I became an instant fan. I don't know either why it took me so long to give them a chance.

If you haven't, please listen to Lamb of God; "Killadelphia" is a great starting point(concert dvd/album). The opening is sung acapella in Arabic. As for more Slipknot, AOV(Approaching Original Violence) is great. There is an overwhelming amount of great music to enjoy out there.

As much as I love their recent stuff, Iowa (from 2001, I think) will always be the perfect album in my eyes. People = Shit and Disasterpiece are amazing, while Gently is a quieter masterpiece that eventually kicks off hard. And then there's the titular Iowa, of course. Damn, it's good.
