I gotta say, my opinion of the FBI as an organization aside, it’s cool that wendigoon is doing interviews like this and that the former agent was willing to give her time to contribute. I hope we get more like this.
The FBI does a lot of good that doesn’t get covered much at all, seemingly only the bad things nowadays make the news. It’s actually kinda sad… here they are working in the background helping police agencies across the country find criminals (like murderers), foiling plots, and saving lives… yet a good chunk of the country resents their very existence.
NGL, there was a small part of me that was hoping the FBI agent would turn out to be Frank Doyle, the guy who would help supply the Mythbusters with some of the craziest explosives, including hundreds of pounds of ANFO to just blow shit up for funsies. The Unabomber case was one of the ones high up on his list of achievements when he started working with them.
Thank you both to the interviewer for going to such great lengths to make very engaging content, and to the interviewee for taking the time to give such a valuable and unique perspective on the details of the case!
I'm all over this kind of stuff and this is the first time I've ever heard of someone doing an interview like this - THANK YOUUUUUU, it's amazing to see someone who puts the work into doing quality research.
Bro you reuploaded this, and yesterday here i thought i was paranoid, i legit thought i was in a mandela effect or something cause i couldnt found it in the main channel
Imagine being called "the person who caught..." when in reality you didn't catch anything at all and had literally no idea where to even start looking so you had to post what clues and evidence you did have in a national newspaper and hope someone has info and comes forward Crazy that qualifies as having "caught" someone
yeah there’s some interviews that his brother did and from what I saw he is very kind and he even became friends with one of Ted’s surviving victims and they’re friends to this day. he even made the Unabombers Survivor Fund and he donated $600k to the victims families
i think him putting "woo i told you we would do it" was sort of a childish remark used as a sort of middle finger towards the investigators. considering he was not well socialized and the other accounts of his personality according to other people its safe to say he still had a childish side to him.
"He doesn't even try to make a connection between technology bad = blow up college student" As a leftist myself, he was a typical anarchist (only half kidding)
It's not on his main channel anymore, he moved it here with all his other interviews. I guess he didn't want to confuse people since he just released a new unabomber video.
it is a re-upload. it was previously on wendi's main channel but he's putting it on his second channel because he originally put it out as a sort of teaser for the main unabomber video and now that the main video is out, this one can leave his main channel.
Evidence: b0mbs are made of metal FBI: maybe he’s a machinist! Evidence: tries blowing up plane FBI: maybe he’s an airline mechanic! I wonder if he wrote an address in crayon if they’d have thought he was a kindergarten teacher. I thought the FBI was supposed to be S-tier profilers.
These are not inherently illogical guesses. The first is obvious, you can make a bomb easier if you have stuff like welding irons, can work with fuses and electricity. The second is a little more blurry, but if you try to blow up a plane, ideally you should know the vulnerable parts of the plane and place it where it would avoid detection.
I mean, it wasn't because it was metal, it was because of the skill required. And they logically assumed a plane mechanic would have A. experience with tools and B. a grudge with airlines.
You'd be shocked how stupid some of these investigators are. Remember we don't actually live in a meritocracy. Lots of people get federal jobs because of who they know, or some requirement on a piece of paper or "degree" that says oh this person is suppose to be smart.
I mean, if you leave out key information then of course these assumptions will sound stupid. Hindsight is 20/20 man. It wasnt just "These bombs are metal". The bombs actually included wood, and were made entirely by hand, Ted didnt buy vital pieces from department stores, he welded them himself. Its actually a quite logical thinking process to believe these literally home made bombs were created by an intelligent machinist. Your second point is so illogical. They believed he was an airline mechanic for many reasons. I mean, if a dude is sending bombs to Airlines multiple times in a row, wouldnt the logical assumption be he has some type of grudge with that airline? Or that airline has done him wrong in some way? Not just any person could create a bomb as well made as Ted, someone with relative machine intelligence had to be behind these bombings, an airline mechanic is a perfectly reasonable assumption. Especially when you consider how LITTLE leads they had to go from. Investigations start somehere, and when youre dealing with a 170 iq person, investigations get much more difficult. This is also before modern technology, ligten the fuck up bro. Like god damn, at least we aint scared to open packages in the modern day lmfao.@@firefly9838
@@Buerfrumhell making things by hand and doing home woodworking, welding, etc was extremely common in that timespan. smart move for the FBI for befriending wendigoon, now no one will suspect them if wendi died by drowning in kids pool
With the amount of connection Wendi has he gotta be a government agent at this point
Based on his channel art I suspect connections to some kind of secret society. That's just my opinion, and I could be wrong, but i doubt it.
And he's asking them to not put him on a watchlist as a red herring for us, so we dont realize he's an agent

Wendigoon is just moving the interview for the ted video to his stream channel like he said he would folks.

After watching your 3 and a half hour video on the Unibomber, this is great to see. Keep up the great work man and take care!

Because if there's one person we can trust it's one from the FBI...
Even the title of the video itself is a lie
god i love the background of this video, i know its random but it gives off that fallout feel like around that kind of era

It’s a shame the FBI doesn’t just deal with stuff like this and kept their hands out of the political cookie jar.
Amazing 💖✨ thanks!

Upload to the second channel to keep track of these interviews way easier for viewers
No. watch it again.
