Love Wendigoon - not religious myself but I love hearing passionate people describe in detail what they’re passionate about. Regardless of the topic. Great choice of guest guys - huge love and support for all creators here
Orthodox Jews believe that rabbis should suck the blood of freshly circumcised baby penises. Extremist Islamic people literally still believe in punishment of death and the objectification of women. Evangelical Christians teach ideas like thought crimes and being gay being wrong. There are huge issues with these ideas and I do not like us glossing over the actual damage that they do regardless of the individual is good or not the actual belief systems inform and instill horrible ideas.
I'm not in any religion my self but I don't mind hearing about others unless their to preachy like " read the Bible or your going to hell" I ignore those mfs but I like the chill ones
Honestly idek if he's underrated anymore. He still deserves much more, but damn EVERYONE loves the guy (as they should.) Really glad Wendigoon is getting recognition
luckily he’s not underrated anymore. he deserves a lot more success, but he’s still doing pretty well for himself, one of the biggest names on UA-cam over the past year or so
It's somewhat badass that wendigoon being well versed in the darker aspects of humanity like murder ,torture, war and inhumane scenarios. He has also studied things in-between like cryptids and paranormal alike but instead he would rather spend his time teaching about a higher power that promises good and eternal peace to children.. Honorable and badass.. I can imagine a child asking about what demons are and a shadow falls over his face like that scene from Malcom in the middle with the dad. "Once you start there's no going back"
Not really that honorable, the God of the bible is a nut job. It's comforting to children, but to me that just makes it mortally neutral and kinda not an issue, but I wouldn't say it's as far as "honorable" and definitely not "badass." It's just a gut telling kids stories that might make them feel better or possibly have a negative impact on them depending on outside circumstances. The man is a wonderful dude, and his intentions are honorable, but not so much the act if teaching bible stories.
@@deerecoyote2040 I mean that just comes from a lack of understanding of the evolution of mans relationship with God and the role of Jesus in said relationship.

Every biblical scholar on earth, whether they believe it or not, calls the interconnected story of the bible a masterpiece. “Kids stories” just tells me that the only thing you know about the bible is the story of the 10 commandments, david and goliath, and the crucifixtion. Go study the details and then return with your opinion it at least a year lol
@@deerecoyote2040 (Zamn, I just realized this is a bit too long for a response but I didn't realize I wrote this much in like 10 minutes but whatever, read it please, here's like 25% of my thoughts on this topic.) The Bible isn't supposed to necessairly comfort you, the comfort is a side-effect of learning the truth, the purpose of the Bible in my opinion is: learning the reasons behind human suffering and how much better humans can be, with the main example being Jesus Christ and how unlimited our capacity for causing both grief and joy to each other is. We also learn from the Bible that we aren't puppets of God, we have free will and all the tools to use it for good, God is our parent, he may get angry at us when we do something stupid, he may be dissapointed when we don't listen to what the lessons he's taught us right away, but he still loves us, nonetheless. We are constantly being tested, yes. But this isn't without purpose. None of it is. It's all meant to help you grow as a person, you have to learn to overcome obstacles, keep a strong will while in dire circumstances, but most importantly you have to understand that all of your problems are caused by other imperfect humans. There would be no need for this "growth" if all people innately ***genetically*** had these beliefs carved into them. But that would mean we would no longer have free will in the first place. So we live in this perfect world with so much to enjoy with the free will you've been given, but one problem: it's filled with imperfect people, what are we to do? **Maybe**, just **maybe** we should follow these funny little instructions our creator gave to us to **become** perfect. Oh but that's gonna take awhile. Because these imperfect little beings have fucked the world up so much, it's gonna take them millenia to reconnect with and understand their loving creator who they blame for all their problems and coincidentally none of the good things that happen in their lives. All the while, this being of literally unlimited love is silently watching, feeling all of the suffering of the world at once through every single whatever-the-shortest-measurement-of-time is, still joyfully anticipating the arrival of every single one of His deeply flawed children who have caused said suffering. Waiting to teach them in the next life what they could not learn by themselves in the first. Oh and if this helps give credence to my staunchness in these beliefs, I'm a fairly-recently-born-again-Christian. Becoming a true Christian has improved most-every single aspect of my life and it's also helped me understand that teaching Christian literature to young children only ends in a literal **misunderstanding** of Christianity, and children should only be taught the core values of it like being loving and kind. I only became Christian as I exited adolescence. But yeah, learn from the New Testament, not your local priest/pastor or church community with poor understanding is my advice. TLDR: Learn to be kind, remember that evil shouldn't exist, it's a human invention. I'm sure someone more verbose and with a better Biblical understanding can explain all of this better since expression and writing has never been my strong suit, and if that someone shows up I'm asking you to contribute. SIDENOTE: I keep hearing stuff from atheists about The Bible being a "fairy tale for kids from skydaddy 🤓" when they've never actually read it. What's up with that? I understand you're being edgy because I was an asshole of that caliber not two years ago, but this shit has gotta stop, read the New Testament at least.

I have friends like this, and being in these situations a lot where you want to talk about your faith and be fun and then the jokes start to move into making fun of the story it gets really upsetting especially when the Bible means so much to us. Andrew comes off as disrespectful here. I can tell that even though the other hosts don't agree with Wendigoons beliefs, they are actually intrigued and go along with the stories. And even when making jokes, they are tasteful. A lot of charlies responses come to mind. But Andrew comes off to discredit his stories and he interrupts him constantly. Not a great look.

Definitely noticed a lot of this. The stated point of the episode was for him to talk and answer questions. Getting ragged on constantly damaged the whole experience.
Did he actually mock him though? He just seemed to be making mild jokes and wasn't crapping on Christianity or Christians really. He wasn't super funny tbh but he didn't seem disrespectful either.
@@damuffin91 It's not really a matter of directly mocking a person or the belief directly. The point of inviting him, and the title of the video was "hey we're gonna ask you some questions about your area of expertise and we'd love to hear what you have to say." So to cut him off so often with these "jokes" when Wendigoon is just trying to clarify an idea betrays a lack of interest/respect for what the **invited guest** has to say and made the video hard to watch. It's less saying that Andrew disrespected christianity (one may interpret this as a motive behind his actions, but it's beside the point). It's more a matter of the lack of courtesy for the guest and their expertise. The disrespect is for the person talking about Christianity, and it made the podcast feel really bad when he did.

Can I ask what evidence you found that the atheistic worldview is more convincing than the biblical? What made you move your faith from Jesus to your own knowledge?
@@LeirbagFR I know I'm not the person you asked but I'll chip in anyway because I feel like it. Objectively, what the bible ends up saying, and by extension your god, is that nothing matters except belief. The person you're responsing here could be the best person ever in every regard imaginable, but they're an atheist, and therefore are supposed to suffer for all eternity for not believing in your god. I don't think that any honest and good person can agree with that, therefore I'd say a god that would not only allow such a thing, but enforce it is not worth following; we're not even going to get into whether he actually exists or not, that's a whole other discussion with no end. Anyway, there's a popular example with hitler - if hitler was a believer (it doesn't matter whether he actually was or not, that's not really the point of this example), then he would go to heaven. And, to top it off, if we apply elementary logic, the concept of heaven itself can be contradictory: imagine you have a loved one, an atheist, and yourself, a believer. You would go to heaven, and they would go to hell. Is it logically possible for you to be in actual heaven where you're happy, fulfilled, and all the other things that you should be in heaven? No. In this case, heaven would just be a place with no real meaning. Or, I suppose, you'd be brainwashed to be okay with it; in a way that would drastically change who you are for heaven to work. I don't know about you, but if I was somehow brainwashed to be happy about my loved one being tortured in hell for all eternity, I wouldn't want to be that way.
@@honzikca8757 That is not what the bible ends up saying. The bible doesn't say that there are some good people and some bad people, but what matters is belief. It says in Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." There is no such thing as a "good person" as only God is good. We may consider ourselves to be good compared to other people, but when we are compared to the goodness of God we realize how sinful we really are. The metric for getting into heaven (which is spending eternity with God) is perfection because God is perfect. But nobody is capable of reaching that standard (we all fall short). Instead, we have another way to get to heaven; through Jesus. By having faith in Him (and through His sacrifice), we are made righteous and justified in the eyes of God. Regardless of whether you believe that to be true, you've completely misrepresented what the Bible teaches.
@@honzikca8757 for the last part specifically, it's said that Heaven is beyond human comprehension it is so beautiful. I don't think that you would have to be brainwashed to accept Heaven, rather ideas and concepts that were impossible to grasp in the meat reality are now in reach in the spiritual reality, and with that new information you'd be able to conclude for yourself that all is good and to be happy. Edit: ALSO, Hitler isn't in Heaven rn lmao, faith alone doesn't get you into Heaven, God says this in so many ways, like when He says to "bear fruit" and to not be a "lukewarm believer"
Saul's story is unbelievably tragic. He tries over and over to reform himself, but every time his personal flaws drag him back down again, to the point that David preemptively flees after Saul's latest apology, because he knows it's just a matter of time before Saul relapses. When Saul first became king, he rescued a city called Jabesh Gilead from this psycho who was going to gouge out their eyes, and after Saul's death, these people stole Saul and his sons' bodies back to give them a proper burial.

It’s strange how I’ve noticed either being religions, sects, or just a gathering, be it Christian or other religions, sometimes make up rules that aren’t in the actual religious texts. Christians are the most known group for western audiences, but it happens in other places too.
Yea man I feel that too. I’ve stayed Christian but been in a similar spot with you. Keep looking, I’ve found it very useful to before joining a church or seeing their services to do some research about them, their beliefs of their own religion, any controversy surrounding them, that the church has a presence on the internet, even if it’s just a website so they can be up to date and knowledgeable of the society were actually living in today (ie: if they don’t have internet presence, will they know how to respond to modern life problems the religious way? Or will they all be too “old souled” to understand) So I say just keep looking, read your Bible and pray and ask God to show you the way, even if you have to go it alone for a little while, you aren’t really alone if you ask God to guide your hand through it all
@Sanctus Paulus 1962 I’m not sure where you drew this conclusion from. I’ve mentioned that rules got made up that weren’t from their text. One thing I want to add about Saul and the witch is that the witch was terrified when her magic actually worked. I.e. She didn't actually have any power. She may talked to demons before through rituals, but the events of doing so were always minor, if not complete deceptions. She didn't actually have the power to commune with the dead, but instead likely talked to evil spirits pretending to be the dead at most. When her ritual actually seemed to work, she was terrified because it was unlike anything she'd seen before, because it wasn't her doing. That's why she asks Saul what she does.

The Bible isn't supposed to necessairly comfort you, the comfort is a side-effect of learning the truth, the purpose of the Bible in my opinion is: learning the reasons behind human suffering and how much better humans can be, with the main example being Jesus Christ and how unlimited our capacity for causing both grief and joy to each other is.

So to cut him off so often with these "jokes" when Wendigoon is just trying to clarify an idea betrays a lack of interest/respect for what the **invited guest** has to say and made the video hard to watch.

As someone who grew up Christian but am now atheist, I could listen to Wendigoon talk about Bible stories for hours. So entertaining.

Saul's story is unbelievably tragic.
Or will they all be too “old souled” to understand)
So I say just keep looking, read your Bible and pray and ask God to show you the way, even if you have to go it alone for a little while, you aren’t really alone if you ask God to guide your hand through it all

God used this opportunity to rebuke Saul and tell him his reign was over, as this was the last time Saul would reject God and the calling God gave him.
Props to Wendigoon here. Way to stick to your guns and talk about the Bible with genuine heart and conviction amidst the chaos!
I wanna thank you guys for this podcast, I’m in college now but I was homeschooled and you guys kept me company in my loneliest times❤
Wendigoon is one of the best UA-camrs on the platform. Glad I got to find him early and see his well deserved growth. Also glad to see how respectful you all are about Wendigoons belief as a Christian myself always good to see someone like him succeed. Hope he continues to come on!
wendigoon is so fun in the podcast. I hope he comes more often. as well as meat canyon
Dude I'd totally watch a podcast of Papa Meat, Wendigoon and Charlie

Andrew needs to realise that an unfunny joke isn’t funny a second or a twentieth time.

Which one is Andrew?
@@CaesarMarcusAureliusThe guy with the huge A in the corner.
@@Koyomix86 alright probably should have noticed that but it’s a podcast and I wasn’t really looking at the screen so that’s my excuse. But yeah he was pretty annoying the entire time.
Yeah. I agree. I’m familiar with Charlie , mostly came here for wendigoon. But was really annoyed with andrews comments. I wouldn’t say jokes because they were not funny at all.
I love both wendigoon and moist… this is legendary
If wendigoon was my Sunday school teacher growing up I would have actually enjoyed it
Yeah all we did in Sunday school was draw and read the Bible, If Wendigoon was my Sunday School teacher I would have actually paid attention
This was such a joy, I only recently, within this year found wendigoons channel. To see this collaboration was just perfect. Honestly I'd love to see a more personal between charlie and him just picking his brain of all the questions Charlie may have.
As a Christian, Wendigoon is such a breath of fresh air. Christians (by fault of their own) have been in a rather poor light as of late. It's nice to see a human being living in the Word and presenting it in a realistic, digestible palate to people who may not have grown up in the faith. Thank y'all for having him on and thank you for your knowledge, Wendigoon!
Technically is not just Christian but religion entirely
Wendigoon: "I'm sorry to do the Sunday School teacher thing."
Me: "No, please continue"
Wendigoon is just a treat to watch
so glad wendi's finally getting some major major attention. this is the crossover he deserves.
As a persona who doesn't listen to many podcasts, I had a surprisingly good time listening to them. It was really fun
YOOO I listened to the first Wendigoon episode on Friday and was thinking “holy shit they better have him back on” and here we are
ME TOO!
It’s crazy how wendigoon is such a good story teller that I was excited to hear all the Bible story details.
Best podcast episode ever. Wendigoon is the goat. Happy to see him and Charlie in the same podcast this time around, he’s a great teacher and very knowledgeable about the Bible.
You know with how unbearable internet atheist are, it makes me really happy that Isiah doesn’t get hate for his beliefs. Especially in context to the other content he creates. He’s a genuine dude and it’s so cute how much love and respect he has on the platform
Unbearable seems like a bit of an understatement…. I was told to kill myself when I shared that the one thing that saved me from ending it all, on multiple occasions, was my faith.
According to MY beliefs, everyone has the right to live their lives as they see fit. Bible also condemns forceful indoctrination and evangelization. So…. I guess I’m just confused where these edgelord atheists get off with their line of thinking.
@@HavianEla I’m sorry to hear that man. I can’t stand how these internet atheists constantly talk about how indoctrinating and evil Christianity is, yet also do this kind of shit to people who don’t conform to their opinions. It’s not even exclusive to the internet, there was this kid who went to my school awhile back like this. He used to harass anyone he knew was Christian, shit talking them and whatnot. One day my Christian friend got so fed up with this guy that he punched him square in the face and knocked him out. Not saying that violence was the answer there or anything, but it was pretty funny.
@@griffin675 Thanks for the sympathies! I’m not a very conservative Christian by any means, so I can understand people who have had religious trauma being uncomfortable around people trying to forcefully evangelize someone, but I think the best course of action in such a case is to school the heretics by reminding them God doesn’t want people forcing Jesus on others. Often times, you can use a hateful bigot’s own logic against them. It just hurts to see people speak down to me for it, because my faith literally kept me from killing myself many, many times over.
So I guess, end of the day, their issues are their own, while I have sturdy ground to stand on, a buoy that won’t sink on me, so long as I keep the faith!
Peace be with you, my guy, and I hope happiness and blessings follow you wherever you go!
Funny, last week I was thinking "man, they need to have Wendigoon on again". So happy he's back!
As a religious Orthodox Jew, I love hearing Wendigoon talk about Tanakh (Old Testament to Christians). I see so few preachers (not that I see many) get those stories correct and routinely does. He thinks realistically, logically and has really read these stories. He is a great role model and Christians are blessed to have him among their ranks.
Side notes:
1. On the foreskin story. David actually came back with 2000 foreskins. Twice what was asked. I love that he not only completed an impossible task, but did doubled it.
2. Balaam's story starts in Numbers Ch 22 while the Jews were wondering the desert under Moses' leadership. Oral Tradition says that the donkey was also Balaam's wife. Personally, never understood why he wasn't surprised why it talked. I guess if you are you used to prophesy not much surprises you?
Wendigoon is the prophet of the ages. Boy is over here with basically athiests(IDK if they all are but some are) and he is bringing the bible stories and making them fresh and new for everyone. Dude is one of the messengers of God if I ever saw it. Glad I watched him ages ago. He is always such a great vibe.
He didn’t even tell the story accurately. I’m not even Christian and could have told it better. So much for “messenger of God”.
@@darden.steezy you are just jealous you dont have 1/10 of his charisma
@@abandonedmuse I'd rather be correct than have any amount of charisma.
@@darden.steezy your point? He is both.
@@abandonedmuse He is objectively incorrect according to the Bible. The least he could be is correct. Being charismatic is secondary.
One of the best episodes yet! Bring back Wendigoon as a regular thing every now and again
Loved it. Keep asking, keep seeking, keep knocking, guys! God bless
Wendigoon is an amazing dude and is one of the most respectable Christians out there. I grew up Christian myself and am still surrounded by it but I don't really subscribe to it any more but I am a big Bible nerd because I think a lot of stuff from it and other biblical text is pretty cool and interesting. I look at it like I do Greek and Norse mythology, Japanese yokai and oni, etc though.
This was such an interesting episode, and I usually shy away from religious discussions.. but Wendigoon delivered everything great. 👏
Same.
Thing about him to. You never feel his faith or bias bleed into non religious stuff. Majority of his fans were shocked he was a Sunday School teacher. Then he flawlessly, can separate his bias when discussing religious content.
@@NoName-sh5xe exactly ! Such a dope guy, and an awesome episode. I rewatched it twice already lol
Isaiah is so refreshing, i am one of Jehovah's witnesses, people typically have a lot of misconceptions about us which is rather understandable, but while he wasnt completely accurate about our beliefs, he remained respectful. I also find how he speaks about the bible and carries himself to be exactly what Jesus encourages us to be, or in a sense, christ like in his disposition. Hes open, honest, kind, understanding, but firm in his beliefs. Its actually inspired me to be more open about my own faith. If anyone has any questions, id be happy to do my best to answer them or clarify things, i enjoy having respectful discourse and learning others views and ideas.
By one of Jehovahs witnesses do you mean you are a jehovah witness?
Props to Charlie for having Wendi on to talk about these things without alluding to zealousy and Christian bashing and props to Wendi for maintaining those expectations
As a fan of both these channels, when i hopped on and saw this notification i was very excited. Good on wendigoon for getting the attention he should have!
i appreciate big creators discussing biblical things without any bias. simply discussing interesting topics. well done
Wendigoons presence in anything instantaneously better, and I'm happy about it.
My sister sent me a video of Wendigoon. And I'm researching him now as to get to know his viewpoints etc. But it's funny how I see your channel popping up, as I found your channel by a animation done by someone I forgot the name of lol.
Any way, I have become Christian in the progress of life. Still searching you know for what it really means to be a Christian, to find and live for and in truth. Having gone through Jordan Peterson and Jonathan Pageau.
Love that you are investigating as well! God bless
Read C.S. Lewis. He wrote the Narnia series, but he also wrote a lot about his faith and views. I recommend his book Mere Christianity, but you can't go wrong with any of his books.
Jordan Peterson can be great to listen to every now and then, but he’s not a very good source for strengthening your faith and really learning and delving into what it means to be a Christian. He looks at the Bible from a psychological and philosophical point of view, which can be very interesting. But I would highly recommend going to studied and theologically sound *Christian* sources to really understand the meaning.
I’m LDS, aka Mormon, and I’m not mad at Wedigoon at all. Love his work, love his content. It’s so refreshing to see someone religious be a content creator.
I never would have expected this collab in a million years
Gigachad collab you could say so right?
