I shot my buck last year at about 10:30am November 8th. The year prior, November 8th again, same spot, about 1pm. I appreciate all of your information. I think the best times for seeing buck movement for me is between about 9am and 1pm.
Awesome video. I really can’t say if it’s the rut or wolfs but during the rut i usually see activity between 8-12 ish but it varies year to year. I think (at least in my area of the U.P) the wolfs play a major role over the last 10 yrs on deer movement.
10am-1pm is when I have seen the biggest and most mature bucks cruising and trailing. Makes sense as they are most active at night during the rut when it’s the coolest. Back up on their feet after resting most of the morning after sunrise
8:30-10:30 my prop. in CT. Sit 5:30-9, get down for work, wake up right into deer every time…over and over..can never be there when they’re moving the most…again, that’s the property I’m hunting..mostly bedding ,no food plots just browsing
My schedule doesn't really work for mornings unless im getting out there at 8 or 9 so i usually get out in the afternoon anywhere from 3 or 4 hours before sunset.
Agree with your data. Have seen some great activity during the morning hours. Hunting in SW Wisconsin. Waiting to hunt till around Oct 15 as I don't want to burn out my stands. Not much buck activity right now. Lots of does on camera. The bucks will find them. Bring on the rut!
i have had great success between 0700-1000 and 1630-1830. i have seen deer and bucks in between them times but if i was to put it into a graph, my main spikes would be at those times.
Did you have any wind info in your data, and were you able to catch the same buck numerous years. I completely agree with the end of October for older age bucks,I have been watching 1 buck on 1 camera set for 3 years.
I didn’t correlate the wind no but that would be interesting. I’ve tried messing around with that concept but it’s been difficult to find trends as they relate to wind
That 10:30am to noon time frame I wish I knew about that when I first started bow hunting. Now if things are correct there is no way I’m climbing down until noon.
Today 2 giants walkin 812am central OH. Of course in my yard😂😂 but ill be up against the lake public land tomorrow AM spose to drop to 45 degrees overnight. Fingers crossed they hit that acorn patch tmrw and i smoke a biggin 🤌💯💪 gotta watch ladies walkin dogs and slowmos walkin around after daylight on public land its a shame
Excellent information over years…that info really helps understand average patterns! Thank you!

I would agree with 9:00 during the rut. Must of my public land bucks have been mid morning.
After 40 yrs in woods I have best sightings between 8 and 11

Totally agree with the 8 o'clock to 9 o'clock And I also usually have good luck between 11 and 1 Best of luck to all our fellow hunters this season😊

Great info as always. I’ve always put more emphasis on afternoon hunting during the rut. Looks like I’ll have to start hunting more mornings!

Good data! Over the years, it seemed like around the 8:30am hour was the most activity for us.

Awesome data. I am wondering does this account for the Daylight Savings Time change?
