The fact that he displays every lyric in this video shows how proud he is of his songwriting. Most rappers nowadays would be terrified to highlight their lyrics but Chance thrives in it.

i mean sure subtitles like this… i do believe influence is a thing but hey artists are always inspired by each other, i think this is distinct enough from Kota to call it his own personal art. Kota’s videos many times barely have any cuts while they have subtitles so you’re seriously focused on the lyrics in the story of the one or few shots that he puts in it slowly zooming or panning in… i love the distinction between these two u love dearly lol both heat and killing the game in their own right. Just heard this song for the first time yesterday and I can’t describe the feeling I get every time I listen to it now. As someone who has struggled with addiction for most of my life, I vibe with this song so hard. Been clean now for almost 3 years. Was clean for 5 before I ran into some 'lows' myself. This song encapsulates that struggle big time, but it's one of those songs that can be used for motivation for any type of struggle.
