Nah man this just the intro, not everyone gets denzel but shout out ones who do. No one else like him right now. Takes influences but makes it his own. His versatility and hooks have me addicted. Discography is so wild
Delusional Shone, If Tomorrow's Not Here, Black Metal Terrorist, P.A.T, Cosmic.mp4a. All of those were good outros to those albums because of their tone and lyrics. The first two slow down a bit so you can really thing about what you just listened to, while the last three close those harder hitting albums out with a bang. Watching Denzel go from underground Raider Klan days to where he is now is insane. The potential for greatness was always there but his improvement over the years has been substantial and so inspiring. He's gonna go down as one of the greats.
right? like blowing a check vs. investing it... instead of the typical young flash in the pan type, he's consistently developing, chipping away and refining. i hope a long and fruitful career he will look back upon.
This is a PHENOMENAL track. This is not just a song, with a title, and a video. This is literal ART. Denzel my guy, you have really impressed me with this one, incredible
Couldn't have said it better myself. The level of detail and hours of work that went into the lyrics and cinematics is what rounds off this masterpiece. This song is a great example of no pain, no gain. It is absolutely stunning.
Denzel I used to be on the radio 1989-1996 The Saturday Night Funkbox show 88.9FM , part of Miami Hip Hop history. You been the best emcee in Florida for years. Keep doing what you been doing. Salute 🫡
Only Denzel could blend vocals inspired by the brassy composition from the fistful of dollars trilogy with the old school AND newer hip hop sound so seamlessly on one track. While on top of that making a beautiful music video that takes the coolest sets, cinematography, and iconography from western classics, American sci-fi, and Japanese street art. It’s sick. Absolutely amazing. All of this while telling a compelling and thoughtful story about our real world struggles with cyclical violence, generational poverty, and class struggles. Denzel Curry is a truly generational talent and I eagerly await the day he gets the credit he is owed.
Holy shit… this track is amazing. Killer sample, it’s so cool to see zel’s epic flow switches over a lighter more spacious (for lack of better word) beat. That transition at the beginning into the bass beat behind zels verse was so dope. Also the cinematography is great, I love the warm filters and desert scenes. All of these thoughts are from my first listen btw, I don’t think I’ve ever been as excited for a zel album, and that includes when I heard Percz for the first time before TA13OO. Excellent job mr. curry you are legitimately owning the rap game.
Ive just started a new phase in my life, new town, new job, new horizons. I love the place, but i miss my people... the loneliness has been hitting me bad. Its hard, sometimes i cry, but this song gives me the strenght i need, Denzel got me walkin no matter what.
Your soul has your back, forever and always. Look to that as you find your way, and the darkness won't look as blinding as the light within you that's meant to shine paves the way to your success brother.
This song just reminds me of how hard real life hit me outside of school from being so sheltered... it's like life hits you like a ton of bricks and you're just expected to know how to navigate. Coming from a 27 yr old whos led a very dark past, and survived... it does get better. Never give up, and stay strong.💛
im in my last year of school and dont want it to end everyone saying they cant wait but i could cause im ngl im scared for that same reason and some others and dont want to fall to a sad mental again
I met denzel curry in 2012. On 4/20. He opened for The Underachievers. Azizi Gibson was also there. Denzel and Z smoked a blunt with me and my homies and we talked for a minute. I had a feeling he was going to do great things
Dope fucking beat, dope visuals, dope hard hitting vocals. Denzel doesn’t miss! One of the biggest inspirations for my own path in music. Thanks for the motivation! 🔥🙌🏼🐐
All I want to say and if some weird way Denzel actually sees this. This is one of the hardest and best raps songs SINCE the days of Gang Starr Black Moon Tribe ETC. This is the closest representation to that sound and energy and you capsulated it in 100% your own manner with no fake shit or copy cat poser sound or imagery. This is the song of 2022 and it just started. Fucking incredible homie
Ayo for real, this an actual masterpiece of a music video. Im currently studying media and now im doing film and movies, this is so amazing, the music is perfect, the aesthetics fit perfectly, the bars, the message that the video portrays, gotta say denzel, you did it again.
I haven't even studied media but compared to a lot of rap videos but this has so much packed into it. I wouldn't even call this a rap video. It's more like a personal commentary. The beat even has that old Dilla style with hard single snares & parts where the highs get turned down to focus on Denzel's vocals. He's really trying to say some shit and the chorus gives you the melodic tone of it & stays consistent.
for me it's S = TA1300 / Imperial A = Unlocked B = N64 / ZUU / BIBO C= 13 / 32 Zel / Planet Shrooms I didn't count his early mixtapes. I started from his commercial debut. Denzel never put out a bad project in his entire career
I got the opportunity to shoot Denzel's concert back in 2016 in Santa Barbara, CA, and I will never forget getting the chance to kick it backstage with him. Denzel will always be one of my favorite artists.
As a recovering alcoholic, this song resonates with me on so many levels. I know most people are just here to hear the song and don't care for a story like this, but I feel obligated. That henny bar is really the truth. You think that every drink will lead you closer to whatever answer you're searching for, yet it only pushes you further and further away. If I could give one piece of advice to anyone reading this; *please* do not become dependent on a substance for your happiness. You are beautiful, and you are worth it. Value yourself. Love yourself. I love you. The world loves you. EDIT: At the point of writing, there are 0 replies. I want this thread to be a healthy place for *anyone* who needs some advice
The flow, the lyrics, this is something I can chill to or go hard with! can't wait for that album. Denzel we appreciate your talent keep blessing us with bangers!
I feel like, in my 26 years of living, my life has just been a series of fucking up and never learning my lesson. I just fucked up again, recently. And the guilt, and feeling of hopelessness is weighing heavier than it ever did before. But when he said “I’m killin off my demons, cuz my souls worth redeemin” I felt the smallest bit of power in my spirit. Thank you Denzel. I’m gonna keep walking.
I enjoy that you can hear the intakes of his breath as he prepares for the next stanza. It shows Denzel's ability to actually rap, instead of many modern rappers who cut their verses together piecemeal.
He's a great live performer too! I just saw him a week ago and he had so much energy and had the crowd going wild. And he really raps his songs. There's barely any backtracking

This song has been keeping me solid for a while now, you’re a good dude Denzel Curry
Been waiting patiently for two years and you truly never disappoint, especially when you spend a lot of time on your work
Hi i just started an album coverdrawing channel
I wouldnt mind your support😁

The amount of effort put into this! Denzel doesn’t disappoint. You can tell hes been working hard on this album. Can’t wait!
ua-cam.com/video/pBAPMsDVCsM/v-deo.html
This sounds like the track that goes at the end of the album and makes you reflect on what you just experienced.
probably the 3rd or 5th track lol
Nah man this just the intro, not everyone gets denzel but shout out ones who do. No one else like him right now. Takes influences but makes it his own. His versatility and hooks have me addicted. Discography is so wild
It sounds like... It sounds like. Like... Like...
I feel like walkin is more of an intro but the point still stands. His albums always wrap up nicely.
we are all so Insignificant. Just keep walking....
Possibly the most underrated song of all time?
Its crazy how this guy always makes the songs sound so different

How does this song sound?ua-cam.com/video/uv_6yvcnXW8/v-deo.html
It’s just the natural talent of an artist of his caliber, you have to have a good ear for beats when you’re on his level!! I also make Hip-Hop music with a blend of old school lyrics, and modern day trap beats!! I was hoping to get some thoughts on this new song to help improve and get better 🙏❤️
Sorry but you three below the original commenter are pretty shameless fam, almost every thread I've seen is full of a fan admiring Zel and then it's all of you promoting your own music 👎 sure your music is great, but the way you're going about self promoting is absolute shit... Make your own wave, not ride others fam
Denzel is criminally underrated, he doesn't get the attention that he deserves. It's not fair.
Why does everyone say this? He’s rated very high by critics and is very popular and has been since 2015. Just he don’t make pop-rap.
@@reilly3916 he's underrated in terms of recognition, but yes his talent is recognized by those who already love him.
That's why he said he wanna get rid of the underground rap title with this new album, he wants to reach broader audiences.
@Narja He is. Most randoms that you ask down the street wouldn't know many of his songs, let alone know who he is.
Rather be underrated that over rated I like the fact hes comfortably famous
ua-cam.com/video/ushb48P4zSk/v-deo.html don’t hate it’s music lol
Holy shit that switch up caught me off guard. Love seeing artists pushing art forward. Actually doing amazing shit.
someone said this was the best song they ever heard and as i read the comment the switch up happened and ive never agreed more
Denzel is one of a kind. Everything about this is so clean and inspiring. I don't know of anyone more gifted musically.

Kanye, Tyler the Creator, Frank Ocean, Kendrick, Weyes Blood

Denzel puts the ART in artist
Watching Denzel go from underground Raider Klan days to where he is now is insane. The potential for greatness was always there but his improvement over the years has been substantial and so inspiring. He's gonna go down as one of the greats.
We don’t take kindly the threatz 🔥
right? like blowing a check vs. investing it... instead of the typical young flash in the pan type, he's consistently developing, chipping away and refining. i hope a long and fruitful career he will look back upon.
Can u tell me about this raider klan? Probably a dumb question but I love this guy's art. Would love to research the origins.
@@shinske3564 Denzel curry - Strictly 4 my R.V.I.D.X.R.Z or King of the the mischievous south
This is a PHENOMENAL track. This is not just a song, with a title, and a video. This is literal ART. Denzel my guy, you have really impressed me with this one, incredible
ua-cam.com/video/Bm0-7mntTY4/v-deo.html the best if i ruled the world remix
Couldn't have said it better myself. The level of detail and hours of work that went into the lyrics and cinematics is what rounds off this masterpiece.
This song is a great example of no pain, no gain. It is absolutely stunning.

Denzel I used to be on the radio 1989-1996 The Saturday Night Funkbox show 88.9FM , part of Miami Hip Hop history. You been the best emcee in Florida for years. Keep doing what you been doing. Salute 🫡
Every song this man drops is just so unique and shows how well of an artist this man elevates

Them DUNE vibes doe bruh

Most people won't catch how he blended old western blues with Boom Bap and it later morphed into a halftime Trap groove. Very underrated sir.
Such a smooth track with all that complexity...Zeltron just different

Ive just started a new phase in my life, new town, new job, new horizons. I love the place, but i miss my people... the loneliness has been hitting me bad. Its hard, sometimes i cry, but this song gives me the strenght i need, Denzel got me walkin no matter what.
Your soul has your back, forever and always. Look to that as you find your way, and the darkness won't look as blinding as the light within you that's meant to shine paves the way to your success brother.

Same, Pablo, same.

Denzel Curry might be the most criminally underrated artist oat
This song just reminds me of how hard real life hit me outside of school from being so sheltered... it's like life hits you like a ton of bricks and you're just expected to know how to navigate. Coming from a 27 yr old whos led a very dark past, and survived... it does get better. Never give up, and stay strong.💛
Just keep walkin!! 💪

“My souls worth redeeming”

All I want to say and if some weird way Denzel actually sees this. This is one of the hardest and best raps songs SINCE the days of Gang Starr Black Moon Tribe ETC. This is the closest representation to that sound and energy and you capsulated it in 100% your own manner with no fake shit or copy cat poser sound or imagery. Studying media in A levels?
I haven't even studied media but compared to a lot of rap videos but this has so much packed into it. I wouldn't even call this a rap video. It's more like a personal commentary. The beat even has that old Dilla style with hard single snares & parts where the highs get turned down to focus on Denzel's vocals. He's really trying to say some shit and the chorus gives you the melodic tone of it & stays consistent.

Denzel's music is just so consistent. Man gets an A on everything he puts out.

A = Unlocked
B = N64 / ZUU / BIBO

This is the music that the people need. This film is crazy too! Not just good for a rapper, it's good for anyone!
I enjoy that you can hear the intakes of his breath as he prepares for the next stanza. It shows Denzel's ability to actually rap, instead of many modern rappers who cut their verses together piecemeal.
