When you posted the photo of the gay couple board on your Discord, I honestly at first didn't want to let myself think it was a gay couple. I secretly hoped it was, gaydar went off 100%, but figured it was just like a much older brother to the kids or something. Imagine how bad the representation is in board gaming if that was my reaction, and by extension imagine how good it feels when you finally do see something like this.
I had the same reaction. Tylor mentioned “What if it’s a grandfather/son combo, and then I got into my head way too much. I definitely resonate with making that stretch because we often don’t see things like this, which makes me so grateful when it does happen.
@@kovray Literally today like 20 minutes ago, when I went to a bakery to get a cake for my husband as a surprise, and I mentioned to the person working the counter that we'd got our wedding cake there (did not mention the gender of my spouse), she said something about Valentines day coming up, so consider getting a cake as a gift for my partner, not assuming the gender of my spouse. That sort of stuff is enough to frankly make me tear up a little bit.

I'm very much keeping an eye on this game especially with one of the player boards having gay parents.
