- Well it is that time again! We played over 130 board games released in 2023 and each narrowed down a list of our favorites, bringing you this lovely video: Top 10 Board Games of 2023! Did your favorites make our list?
Now we did share our lists beforehand, and if you see some numbers skipped, it's simply due to the fact that the game is higher on the other's list. This way we can share in the excitement and talk about the games together rather than apart! Did we have crossovers... Well as you can see from our timestamps, yes.

Lovely list you two! I agree! I feel like if you like Earth you'll like Forest Shuffle! It feels very similar in the sense of having so many different avenues to score and win and like you get to decide how you want to go about it! So fun! Also, I ADORE fit to print! Couldn't agree more.

Top ten easy games.
I have the great pleasure of playing boardgames at work. But the games can not be to complex. So I would love to see a list of those.
Or top ten language independent games. Haveing multilingual friends it is nice if only the rulebook is the only thing with written word on it🙂

It's definitely worth trying, especially if you have enjoyed the other Garphill Games - this one definitely earned its place in our list :)
I'm yet to play any of these games. I already have Mille Fiori (yet to play) after watching one of your reviews last year, and literally just pre-ordered Junk Drawer based of your recent praise of the game. Fit to print has been on my list for ages to buy, and now I will also add My City Roll & build and Applejack to add to my collection.

Great lists! I would love to see a list of 2023 games that you guys feel were overlooked or underappreciated; sort of a hidden gems kind of thing. For a list like that, I'd nominate Rolling Heights, one of my absolute favorites from 2023 that I don't hear much about anymore.

Only played on BGA, but it got better and better each game.
So true! Applejack is definitely an underrated treasure
I only have a top 5 so far/ Plunder,Oceans, The Real Truth, Three Sisters and Glow

Nice lists !! I am vary happy to see Scholars there, I really love it! I think my favorite might be Hegemony, the game is just brilliant and so intuitive and innovative ! But closely behind is Scholars, which even though came out later than hegemony has seen more table time, due to player count, time of play etc! Thanks for the video ❤
Scholars and Hegemony are such great games! I really want to play more Hegemony so definitely excited to dive into that one and I'm glad to hear it's your favourite!

Great list guys - most of the games I have not been played yet ......also here in Australia we don't get the new releases etc same time others do.

Villians, hegemony and the white castle @@kovray I am not to sure about hegemony etc as it really appeals to me but it is finding other people that would be into it.... I also want to play Oath at some stage to.
@@thinkgeektheory1085 Oath is fantastic if you have a group you can play with on a continuous basis, it’s quite a stellar game
I only played one 2023 game. Earth! And it's currently sitting at my #4 of all time

Amazing viddeo 🤗 I loved Scholars of the South tigris and need to play more ! Otherwise Ark nova's expansion was a hit this year, and Earth too ! I had on my radar Search for the lost species and forest shuffle so I am very pleased they are in your top 10 !
Thank you, thank you 🤗 We have not been able to play the Ark Nova expansion yet, but we do have it! I was very excited when I saw they had brought in marine life though.

White Castle was one of our favs from 2023. Lots of strategy and decision making, but the 9 turns keeps it pretty short. Hoping to try out Scholars sometime this year, has been on my watchlist

I finally got to play Forest Shuffle last week. Really great game although sadly it didn't win over everyone, nor was it a simple replacement for Earth like I hoped it might be.
I definitely need to get Fit to Print to the table soon.

@@kovray one player has a lot of competition for the butterfly strategy and didn't adapt well. He felt the competition left for fewer choices.

You're not wrong, 😆 but the longer hair has been needed with the last week being only about -30C (at it's warmest 😬) We hit -50C at one point and no one wants to leave their house in that weather, not even our dogs haha
New to the channel. All ok except, earth. Not only is a all around game, how can you say is pretty? Is generic photos with a simple production?
