    I loved Julian's speech - it was more honest than an apology- and it put into words the journey they'd all been on since Episode 1 of Series 1.
    Obviously we don't know what happens at Christmas yet, but I quite like that, at the moment, everything is set to just carry on as it is (with the addition of the baby). We might not to get to see them any more, but we know that they are all still there, living their best deaths day after day, and enriching the Coopers' lives.......

      In Christmas special I hope they do flash forward of Alison died of old age then ghosts wait for them?so that they can bring mary back into show?and Alison passing house on to her child and grandchildren or Alison died in childbirth but her baby survive?

    This has consistently been one of the the best written shows I have seen in a long time, they obviously knew there was going to be one last Christmas special, I trust them to make it special.

    Personally I vote for ''GHOSTS THE MOVIE'' to resolve the issue of how they overcome their finances and end with Mike and Allison in their old age still living in Button House but wealthy with grandchildren. I loved this episode because it was the exact opposite of the first episode instead of the ghosts trying to get them to leave they are trying to get them to stay. I think that every fan should voice their opinion for a movie!!!!

      Hell yes I would want a movie, hell they gave BAD EDUCATION a movie.
      A Ghosts movie would be phenomenal, we should start a petition.

      Has there been any announcement about the length of the Christmas episode? Could it possibly be a longer one?

      @jessgriffiths6325 they said they want to do it, it's just about getting the right script ideas, the timing being right and ofc funding.

    I still have a huge issue with Julian's "apology". He actually said that he wasn't sorry. And sure, it has been beneficial for the ghosts to have Alison to be able to help them and entertain them. But it's almost a miracle Alison didn't die. Fanny died instantly as a result of being pushed from the same height. I think that deserves a real apology.

    • @oliviadaly4795
      @oliviadaly4795 8 місяців тому

      I do think maybe it was partially thr angle (when Alison is pushed, we see her on her back. Fanny is pushed out and lands on her front; maybe she does smth to her neck? I dunno) but also medical care.
      Alison was in a 2 week (?) coma, they wouldn't have been able to save Fanny back then due to medical advancements since her time.

    • @UDKeyes
      @UDKeyes 8 місяців тому

      @oliviadaly4795 I doubt that George would have sought medical help for Fanny anyway since the reason he pushed her was to shut her up. But you do have a point that they landed differently. I still think that it's a strong possibility that Alison could have died instantly. Or died while in the coma. I suppose she could have actually been dead at some point and the doctors revived her. Having a foot in the afterlife is likely the reason why she sees the ghosts. Either way, if I had learned that a friend had deliberately tried to push me out of a window, I wouldn't forgive them so quickly.

    I'd completely forgotten Alison didn't know either, I was laughing along with the ghosts until we saw her face and I realised "oh no, I'd forgotten she didn't know that"! I personally liked Julian not apologising, as he was never going to apologise but did use it as an opportunity to tell Alison how much she means to them all which I don't think the ghosts tell her enough. I'm looking forward to the Christmas episode, hopefully we get more of a finale ending there

    When I watched the episode, I really couldn't remember whether we even knew Julian pushed Alison out of the window, let alone Alison herself 😂 It's been so long since I last watched episode 1

      As Robin said at the time, "Pushy, or no Pushy?" I'm not sure Julian ever fully admitted it, although he didn't manage to deny it either.....

      I think we can be pretty sure that Julian *thought* he caused it. He'd have denied it otherwise, rather than blustering about and not giving a clear answer. But whether he actually made a difference with the small force he could apply or Alison would have fallen anyway who knows?

    I’m so divided on the Xmas ep. Like I reallly want an emotional finale to round things off beautifully, but at the same time I really don’t want to cry at Christmas time 😂

    I think this and episode 5 should have been swapped in terms of series finale. I found myself feeling more closure with the final scene of the whole family line dancing. I like Episode 6 fine, but I think it should have been the penultimate episode rather than the last one.

    • @jessgriffiths6325
      @jessgriffiths6325 8 місяців тому +1

      I completely agree with you.
      I mean even the conversation Mike and Allison had before the dancing, when Mike realised that they couldn’t take the party life anymore and that they were starting a new chapter in their lives.
      That would of been a Great way to end the show.

    • @GrrAargh1
      @GrrAargh1 8 місяців тому +2

      I'd agree if it was the last episode of all, but I'll withhold judgement until the Christmas episode.

    Simon’s performance during Julian’s speech was amazing I just really wanna highlight that before getting into everything else lol
    I really liked the open ending idea, I like to think that Alison, Mike and the ghosts live of their lives (and afterlives) in the house peacefully, but I do wish the whole money problem was resolved.
    Kitty was a star this episode (and the whole season) especially with her saying “I’ve got nothing to hide!” And then running away lmao
    Also the entire show ending with the captain being very gay is exactly what I needed from ghosts 10/10 no notes lol
    I do hope the Christmas special has a more final ending, (I have a hunch that it will) and I am also very excited to see the cooper baby!

    I hope the very end will be a now old and happy Mike and Alison enjoying the end of their lives surrounded with family. then it's revealed that the ghost were able to move on one by one and the last remaining ghost, Thomas, was waiting for Alison to die so they could go to the afterlife together - which Alison definitely didn't want but had no power to stop him.
    they could even add something like one of Alison's children/grandchildren coming home after her funeral and suddenly being able to see a ghost in their home - a new ghost story to begin.
