Honestly this could be my favourite episode of all time. Was so happy for Dara. It was good to spend time with the champions again, and hey....Kiell was there too.
Alex being mean to Sophie because she wanted her handicap to be low confidence was so funny. "And next up it's worthless scumbag, Sophie Duker!"
His insults were hilarious, absolutely loved it!

The “do something stupid” task may have eclipsed the water cooler task as one of my absolute favorites.
i really enjoyed this ep, still wish we got 2 eps for champion of champions, but i understand that scheduling gets very difficult

I agree with this. Even 2 seems a bit light. I think that in Mae's absence that Dara was probably the strongest contestant anyway, not certain I could say that about the previous Champion of Champions, or maybe not even the first one?
I agree it is getting better at every series
For me it really started picking up with this group, everything after Series 10 has been phenomenal
I love Sophie Duker's humor so I wanted her to win but it was definitely a tight race! Can't be at all mad.
You're right about a lot of stuff - like Taskmaster just seems to keep getting better! I think from Series 11 on there's been a ton of momentum, and even more starting with 16.
I also wanted Kiell to win. Until now, each winner has been the... least convenient?.... one to win. From someone without a proper trophy, to the person with the lowest champion score, to the person who isn't even a champion in the first place... Just mess up the CoC narrative as much as possible!
There's tons more I agree with, but I think I'm the only one who didn't like Morgana's paint throwing? Making a mess isn't "stupid", it's just childish!
Paint fumes are highly toxic and can kill you, so even before Morgana ate the paint I thought she had the win in the bag. The five points were well deserved, and that's coming from me who thinks Morgana was heinously overscored in her series.
Granted, you could argue eating paint goes against the 'you must not hurt yourself' instruction.
Really enjoyed the special, I think it was an improvement over COC II which was good up until the live task rendered everything else completely redundant.
I just assumed for a while Kiell was chosen to replace Mae because they're good friends, but it does make sense for the runner-up to take their place. I can see why you would forget that Kiell came 2nd; I think he has Mark Watson syndrome where the fan perception of them is a lot lower than what their final placings would suggest.
Prize task was great although I definitely didn't think Morgana's was the best; I probably would have given it to Dara. I didn't like the waiter task having DQs because it massively hinders a contestant to receive a 0 in a one-off episode, but the two-part task made up for it, allowing more opportunities to score, especially considering contestants have gotten episode wins in the past despite a DQ (Iain Stirling for example won the episode with his sand bucket failure). I was also surprised to see people in public, but it's possible they relaxed a bit on that given Sam briefly went out during the nickname task in the last series, and it was nice to see the bandstand again.
It's worth noting in the two-part task that Kiell didn't _just_ have the satsumas in his mouth; he also had to keep one hand in his pocket at all times, and he gave the episode its name in the process ("spider in my pocket"). I think he deserved the joint win there, I cringed in pain watching him do that with satsumas in his mouth. In the stupid task, I completely agree with you; I would have swapped Dara and Sarah. The live task was fine, although to be honest I've never really thought any of the live tasks in COC have been standouts, especially when the most memorable moment of any of them was the production team screwing up and giving them permanent markers instead in the first one lol.
Pretty happy Dara won even if it was predictable, yet I thought Morgana had a shot since the last two COC winners were arguably the biggest 'fluke' winners of their series and therefore the biggest underdogs.
Dara was a fave but it was quite close. A ridiculous, ridiculous man 😂
6:50 I was gonna say this wasn’t New Zealand. It was the Australian version where they had to driver the pizza to Tom and had fake Tom But then I remembered they did similar on New Zealand too where they had to film Paul. All these Taskmasters there is such a great multiverse of taskmaster’s to choose from.
Ahh yeah I forgot that one, it was definitely a more direct 'copy' of the pizza task than the NZ one. Can't believe I forgot about that, Nina's attempt was hilarious!
