While it wouldn’t do anything to Batman if it was a normal person using mordhau grip, the enhanced strength of a Witcher might be able to do some damage with it.
@mysteriousstranger5873 Technically it isn't, but literally any Batman wouldn't struggle with this, especially Arkham Batman. Geralt wasn't trained to use his sword that way to begin with, if Batman doesn't just disarm him, he'd simply keep his distance and harass him with the electric whatever it's called and Batarangs
@@twinzzlers …except yes, he would’ve been, because it’s one of the most well known ways to counter armored opponents if all you have is a long sword. Not to mention half-swording, and using the sword as a lever against your opponent to bring them to the ground. At the end of the day, Geralt is a fantasy super soldier, Batman is not.
Considering Spider-Man repeatedly rips turrets off armored vehicles, using only his grips on thin strings of webbing, he would pry open the Batmobile like a sardine can and remove Batman's head. Seriously, compare what you can lift on a barbell with what you can lift by pulling on that barbell with strings. They had to SERIOUSLY nerf him for the fight sequences just to make the game playable.
I find it hilarious that you'd go into such lengths for an objectively good and well-measured breakdown of both characters and then say something as staggeringly daft as "his steel sword would probably not dent Batman's armor" - you are right, it wouldn't. Thankfully, he also uses a meteorite sword infused with magical runes that can literally cut through stuff like dragon scales, troll hide, otherworldly elf plate armor, masteworked vampiric magic armor and so on. I am sure that if we gave Bats the benefit of the doubt/preparation he could cook up SOMETHING to counter the sword at least a little, but saying it's straight up abandoned right away is just daft. I do agree with your overall findings tho - ultimately, Geralt just has too many tools in his arsenal, and especially the super reflexes/regen from the potions would be really tough for Batman to deal with. The one scenario where I actually see Bats winning, and kinda easily too, is if they were to both fight unarmored with no weapons or potions or any kind of gear prep whatsoever, as this is one area where Bats would have a clear and undeniable advantage. Yeah, he'd be a bit less agile and definitely less strong, but the amount of moves the man has in unarmed combat definitely trumps a guy who fights armed 99% of the time.

Canon signs are bullshit, but if we take game ones, they can be a fine addition to Geralts‘ arsenal, but they won‘t be a huge advantage against Batman

Whilst I am aware that combat speed isn't travel speed, and that is very much true, I somewhat doubt that someone able to accelerate their whole body to well over 3000 miles per hour would need a horse. Or in fact a sword or any weapon because of how destructive that would be. So methinks Geralt and Halflings are, whilst no doubt extremely fast, probably not breaking the speed of sound on the regular.
@@popepimpler3467 If he's able to accelerate to 3000 mph (which is hypersonic speed) then if he jumps at a 45 degree angle he will be able to travel 183 kilometers in a single bound. Whilst the exact speed is hard to determine, he'd still effortlessly outpace any horse, just by jumping about. And given that terminal velocity is about 120mph, and he can clearly survive accelerating (and thus, decelerating) much faster, he'd survive the impact without a problem. It's also a staggering durability feat that easily surpasses being knocked through a wall since he's taking four hundred and fifty nine thousand, nine hundred and forty eight newtons of force. Obviously... Geralt can't do either of those things. He needs a horse to travel quickly and if he gets hit in the face with a warhammer, it will hurt and he will be severely injured. So, clearly, the claim of 'he can move at hypersonic speeds' is wrong, and the feat used was either an outlier, improperly calculated in the first place, or implemented by the authors without really considering the power scaling.
@@popepimpler3467 First of all, reaction timing doesn't mean anything if your body can't, y'know. React to it. If Geralt dodged whatever attack required that speed, then he has to have moved his body at some similarly insane speed. Even if it's way less than actual hypersonic speed, it's still going to be way over a speed that makes any logical sense for the character and setting. Secondly, the point is that a lot of power scaling type videos or write ups will just use feats or the highest possible numbers they can get out of a feat entirely out of context. I've seen people talk up Halo Spartans strength as their big power scaling angle, which makes little sense, because they consistently choose to use guns which are apparently less effective. Similarly, Geralt is a character in a more-or-less grounded, low-magic setting, where he's superhuman by far, but still very much on the mortal end of the spectrum. If he gets hit in the head with a warhammer, or stabbed in the heart with a sword, it will hurt a lot and he will be at risk of death, even if less so than the average man by some considerable margin. One-off feats that don't reflect this are, therefore, probably not reflective of what the character is actually supposed to be capable of.
So we're mainly considering Arkham Batman with a few other things sourced from other media... Don't get me wrong, that's not a weak Batman, but bro recently survived going from space to the ground, re-entry and everything, using his undies in the current prime earth comics. Most Batman versions where he actually works with the JLA whoop Geralt's ass like he's a D TIER villian
Just some real random oddball ideas from me, not all single characters though. The Borg vs. the X Parasites The Toa Nuva vs. The Avengers (Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye) The 4 dwarves from Deep Rock Galactic vs. The Fantastic Four Meta Ridley vs. Makuta Teridax Adam Smasher vs. Samus Aran The average D&D party vs. an unlocked door
idk i definitely think batman wins this. i noticed you were primarily scaling from batman-focused comics or games, but batman when working with eg the justice league has some muchhhhh better feats. at the same time, it really seemed like you were highballing geralt here. especially in regards to speed and his signs. i mean, do you really think batman would be bothered by what is essentially a flamethrower w the gear he has? or that geralt is 'massively hypersonic' when hes never been showing to break the sound barrier with his movements? (reacting to e.g. a man holding a gun/shooting lighting means you can dodge their aim, does not necessarily mean you can move faster than the projectile unless you're moving out of the way after the projectile has already been fired accurately) all in all though, i definitely enjoyed the video and im looking forward to watching your account continue to grow
Arkham games, while very cool, do not properly represent the core concept of Batman. He's a HUMAN. A ninja-detective, not something out of Warhammer. Any time they show Batman doing something that an Olympic athlete couldn't do, that's not proper Batman. Geralt is a magically-mutated super-soldier, in original concept and all adaptations. His whole purpose, honed over centuries of R & D, is to kill things which are bigger and badder than Solomon Grundy. Seriously, the man's JOB is to kill dragons, cockatrices, vampires, fiends, and such. Geralt would destroy Batman. That half-kryptonian guy in the Arkham trilogy who happens to be Batman in his parallel universe, yes, he'd be much harder.
...I like your analysis of these characters very well done sir 🫡 very informative... ... Please could you do an analysis of Warframes and Guardians from destiny?....
Geralt's ability to trade blows with Dettlaff tends to be overlooked. Dettlaff is as strong (if not stronger) as Regis, who is strong enough to shake a large chamber simply by trashing inside a cage. Also, keep in mind that Geralt can trade blows with Dettlaff without going through additional mutations available in the Blood and Wine expansion. Those mutations make him, according to in-game statistics, 2.5 times stronger (check out the Bloodbath mutation).

Something you failed to account for is that Gerald *could* try using morhau grip against Batman and strike him with the crossguard and pommel of his sword to attempt to concuss Batman. While it wouldn’t do anything to Batman if it was a normal person using mordhau grip, the enhanced strength of a Witcher might be able to do some damage with it.
Hand to hand fighting is Batman's entire thing though, a Witcher would have little need of learning it.
@@twinzzlers it’s.. not hand to hand fighting though? It’s using the sword to bludgeon.
@mysteriousstranger5873 Did he actually canonically train to fight like that though? I doubt it, and Batman fights Supersoldiers all of the time.

Plot armor.

You should do The tick vs Captain america
You do know that meteorites are mostly made of iron right? Like, some of the purest iron humans have access to. It'd be turned to steel, obviously, but none the less, the only thing impressive about meteorites is that it's a very pure iron.

Geralt is a master of preptime too.
@@miguelcondadoolivar5149 I‘m not talking about prep time. I‘m talking that Batman have already faced everything that Geralt can do before, even in his early years.
Of course, we don‘t know, how stronger witchers are if we compare than to, for example, Deathstroke. It is possible, that Deathstroke might be even stronger.
Canon signs are bullshit, but if we take game ones, they can be a fine addition to Geralts‘ arsenal, but they won‘t be a huge advantage against Batman

Custodes VS Jedi? Custodes all day every day. Only Jedi I might actually give it to would be either Anakin pre-Vader, or Obi-Wan. And even then, no one is beating Valdor. I would like to see Superman vs one of the Primarchs. Could be pretty neat.
Considering superman has shown universal level feats idk I don't know much about Warhammer 40k
I see u tryna make a point but the logic u using is shit
@@lozm4835 I think u forget it’s not practical to do these things over a long time, wasn’t he a witcher for like 80 something years
@@lozm4835 oh my bad but that’s reaction timing no?
One-off feats that don't reflect this are, therefore, probably not reflective of what the character is actually supposed to be capable of.

idk i definitely think batman wins this. i noticed you were primarily scaling from batman-focused comics or games, but batman when working with eg the justice league has some muchhhhh better feats. at the same time, it really seemed like you were highballing geralt here. especially in regards to speed and his signs. i mean, do you really think batman would be bothered by what is essentially a flamethrower w the gear he has? or that geralt is 'massively hypersonic' when hes never been showing to break the sound barrier with his movements? (reacting to e.g. a man holding a gun/shooting lighting means you can dodge their aim, does not necessarily mean you can move faster than the projectile unless you're moving out of the way after the projectile has already been fired accurately)
all in all though, i definitely enjoyed the video and im looking forward to watching your account continue to grow
