Unpopular opinion: I actually like the steering wheel. It has more buttons than the basic fanatec wheels and the look really suits many of the regular road cars you drive in Gran Turismo.

I came from a T300 to the 8 Nm on PS5, unbelievable what a difference! Have to wait for the load cell though but until so far impressed. Be prepared for some muscle pain :)
With gran turismo 7 coming in few months, this thing might be a very tasty looking snack to get for a fantastic experience - and I think it's a great choice for being just that - a wheel just for ps4/ps5.
04:50 ACC doesnt have FFB because you have to use the purple Playstation Comp Mode which needs to be selected and the GT DD PRO needs to be assigned to your PSN Acc BEFORE you start ACC! Then its working fine.
@@arnesh- With the F1 games I'll probably stick to using my TGT with the SF1000 unless if this wheel is significantly better. Unfortunately it looks like I won't be able to purchase it in the country I live in until Feb or March next year's though that's also when I plan to get a PS5 due to ACC getting PS5 specific updates.
I want to buy the wheel for ACC, Sport feels like need for speed now I have played ACC. Does this wheel and all of its offerings work with ACC, yes or no? :) I want to buy one ASAP but concerned about compatibility between ACC, ps5 and the dd pro wheel.

Seriously, the differences between GT and AC are subtle, yes AC is more realistic, but GT is also close and not at all like an arcade racer.
Does the 5nm version have enough power I thought about getting the 8 NM power pack upgrade but figured a load cell brake would be the best first upgrade
@@dirtysouthracingnetwork8830 no you need to get them, theres a PDF you can download from their site that tells you what you need. I think for the base units its 10mm M6 bolts plus thickness of the mounting plate, and for the pedals its 22mm M6 bolts plus thickness of mounting plate :)
Appreciate your honest thoughts on that cheap plastic wheel. I gave in and ordered the express bundle and the 180w boost kit. That plastic wheel, cheap pedals and table clamp will rot in storage as e-waste. Will be ordering the xbox universal hub/endurance button box and the 320mm cs round rim when its in stock next month, and pairing with my csl elite lc pedals. Can't wait!
You open by addressing criticism of (some) other reviews, BUT what gamers actually asked for is direct comparison to current official GT wheel - TGT... or Clubsport or CSL Elite... is DD Pro worth its price in context of quickly selling those wheels or would you recommend sticking to those wheels as long as they work. Does DD Pro provides anything noticable special for being more competitive (faster) for competitions in GTSport, considering current price?
The request for a comparison with the TGTII as part of a review is not one that Ive seen. Then it would not be a review of this wheel alone, it would have another angle, anyways. Also requesting a broad comparison between wheelbases requires a lot of equipment that not everyone is able to get. Ive been trying to get my hands in TX equipment for well over a year. It's very hard to get, TX has a very small circle of sanctioned (generally sponsored) creators.

I can only compare with wheels that I have experience with. The TGT II is a unicorn for reviews. If I dont have it, I cannot offer any argument using it. I promise you, if I ever get one for review I'll do just that. And if I had it, it would already be in the the works :D

Nice video! I am currently waiting for mine, hopefully it won't take long (lol). As for ACC Ive read a lot that there seems to be a new setting in ACC called "Damper" (take this with a grain of salt lol) that affects the FFB, I am almost certain this is new on PC, not so sure on console, but might be worth checking out.
Few questions if you don't mind... do you play F1 2021? How is the force feedback/feeling for correction with the 5nm (non-boost kit)? And lastly, what are you coming from (controller, another wheel)?
I have the great Thrustmaster SF1000 wheel and TX base. Dunno whether to get just the TGT-II base or the fanatec kit. Yes the base would be cheaper but I already have fanatec CSL pedals which is fine on PC but think you need all same vendor on PS. First world problems :)

Did you assign the overtake function anywhere? The MFD switches seem to be in the best position for that, but I wonder about accidentally moving them the wrong way when trying to hold them in while using overtake.
Will someone finally speak up against Fanatec practise of making you pay more to get your stuff shipped earlier?? I have ordered regularly from them, I places my last DD1 bundle order back in October and they just keep delaying it, while they have the guts to sell early bird packages for this wheel for a premium? Meanwhile all the sim youtubers on the internet just turn a blind eye to it rather than actually making a stand.
These guys will not. You can bet your bottom dollar. They are all here to "sell" you something. Now, if they make the purchase with their own money then I'd be more inclined to take them as serious. However, if it's being sent to them then In my opinion they are compromised
Can’t you do a review on all the systems the GT DD pro is compatible with. PC, PS4/5 and Xbox? To see if it’s any difference or if does perform well on all specified systems.
Is it worth upgrading from the t300 or should i go for the tgt2, knowing that i already have some thrustmaster add ons. Or simply be patience and wait for thrustmasters dd on console...
Force Feedback is very weak. In GTS I can feel the weight of the car, I can feel the curbs. In GT7 I feel almost nothing. I am using a Fanatec GT DD Pro, the “official” wheel of GT7
I'm still upset that I need to pay so much even for the 5NM model just t I play GT7. But I have no other choice. I'll absolutely be putting those pedals up for sale to offset it slightly. And then I'll make an adapter for my CSL Elite PS4 PSU to get 8NM.
Any recommendations for sim rigs? I ordered the load cell variant and was looking at the f-gt lite then realized that the load cell will be stiffer thus pushing the seat upwards.

love fanatec but that gt wheel looks like a plastic toy and pretty much all their lower end wheels are kinda bad had one fall apart on me buttons literally fell out.

I noticed that if I select dd pro express it is immediately available while if I select dd pro premium bundle it gives me the preorder .. You know why I don't buy consoles anymore? They keep forcing you to buy new hardware over and over again, especially Sony as at least Microsoft just needs you to have an X-Box compatible steering wheel. Sony on the other hand demands you buy a completely new base and wheel. To which I love to quote Alonse... "What a yoke!". Why can't they simply stick to demanding a wheel as well? The logic of the Japanese of totalitarian control over their IP hardware and software is just mental. I mean... I have a Podium DD2 and such a monster should simply be able to become easily compatible with all current and future consoles by simply a steering wheel upgrade. I mean... a base is an investment but steering wheels are like Pokemon... gotta catch them all. 😉

Buy only 8nm DD base and a wheel (Not this DD PRO wheel). You can use your old T-LCM pedal.
