Tried the first one and tested it on my left hand (non-dominant) first and I was quite impressed with myself as I thought it was really fast...until I did my right hand and realized how much faster it was in comparison😋👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Love the simplicity of this as a test as well (and as the drill itself) very simple outcome for clients to track improvement
Dr. Cobb, iam totally in love with so many of your videos... Tried this ...i just could not tap me right foot as well ... Thank you so much...wish you were in India..
Thank you so much!! I have struggled with left sided hand tremors, strength in my left leg, and coordiation on my left side since I experienced Covid Pneumonia in August of 2021. During that time I coded, was intubated, and since have had several seizures. I am doing well considering but I would love to be able to be whole again, including not having to use a walker for stability. I think I have discovered my issue! As I did okay with the right side, just struggled with the left side. These will now be a part of my daily routine several times a day. :) I feel like there is hope to full recovery now!
@@NYDBLoCKHonestly, I forgot about this video and these exercises. Thanks for commenting, as I am going to challenge myself to do these daily for two weeks to see if I.improve anymore than time alone has improved.
Needed for me, big time. my right side hand more then foot is uncoordinated from a brain Injury years ago , i am not left handed perse so the hand one can be a difficult challange, but, i need , maybe thats part of shouler issue, too.
If I have issues on my left side, does that mean it is the right side of the brain affected? HOw long should these exercises be done before seeing results, or is this a lifetime thing? Thank you for this video
Great question. When you look at the basic wiring patterns of the brain/body, you are correct. Left side movement and coordination issues typically point toward the right side of the brain and/or left cerebellum. Usually, as long as the brain is well-fueled and there are no underlying issues, you can expect to see changes in a few weeks of regular practice. Thank you.
Great question with no firm answer in the research literature at this point. Obviously, genetics play a role as do many other factors. We've worked with hundreds of professional athletes in a variety of sports and even in that population there are significant differences in attributes. From our perspective it's about focusing on qualities that can be trained and improved. Thanks!
Hope you guys enjoy this one!
Thank you very much.

Dr. Cobb, I don't think I can move my head/neck as fast as you do with the dysdiadochokinesia! That seems like a crazy dance move ;)

Diagnosed with early Parkinson's. Are these just test or can they be used as exercises to maintain coordination? Thanks!

How much of a factor do you believe genetics has a role in hand eye coordination and overall athleticism
