Scots Pine Restyle - Greenwood Bonsai
Вставка
- Опубліковано 5 лют 2024
- In this video, Corin demonstrates the process of creatively reshaping a Scots pine that was previously left to grow freely. The tree was initially chosen for its distinct and unique form, which we have aimed to highlight in our design. Corin conscientiously considers the positioning of each branch and articulates his approach while manipulating them. Working with this particular material was truly enjoyable as it constantly challenged us to refine our design.

The owner will be tickled to death with what you’ve done, one of the best styling I’ve seen in my five years being educated by the bonsai community
This might be the best real time styling I’ve ever seen on a difficult tree
A true artist at work managed to turn a scruffy looking bush into a beautiful work of art art 😎Dennis 😊
This job is what separates the big boys from the amateurs. If You flopped this tree in front of me I'd probably have a panic attack about what to do with it. Good job man!
that tree got her groove back.
I really appreciate the explanation and instruction on what you are doing. For someone like me just learning and struggling to vision what the tree should or could look like , artists like yourself are a real asset to my journey in bonsai.
Great talking with you yesterday Sir ...
Beautiful transformation Corin , respect 🙏🏼❤️
Corin, you are truly a superb artist. Your description of every move you make to create a masterpiece is wonderful. Watching your videos here in Arkansas USA. Well done sir!!!!
Wow, thank you!
Should call it The Phoenix. It has arisen to have another life. Beautiful.
I thought Octopus 😂😂
And this is why your number one
I honestly don’t ever judge a book by its cover… I try and really make that practice… But I got to be honest, if I saw this guy walking down the road, Bonai master wouldn’t come to mind… This guy effing amazing👊🏽🤙🏽💯
Absolutely stunning! USA Cincinnati Ohio!! Your amazing talent my friend ! 😊
That was a pig of a tree Corin. Really good work on that.
WOW what a transformation. A LOT of work but worth it in the end.
You're a true artist mate..👏
In between phone calls! Brilliant! Really nice work Corin and Josh, thanks so much for sharing. Cheers!
A true artist 😎Dennis
Thank you for this and for all the videos you do for us all Corin and the team. I have returned to Bonsia after a break now i have retired but first started in the late 80s. The only way you could see practical demos like this in those days was to wait for a visit to the monthly Bonsia meeting and even then it may not have been a relevant demo. I was luck to see your dear father Harry on a couple of occasions at the midland bonsai society and his demos were always packed to the rafthers I have learnt so much from watching your vidoes and it has re-inspired me to take up this wonderful pastime again. I continue to watch them daily and i am sure i speak for many when i say thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos. You are a true inspiration Fella.
Wow, amazing transformation! Btw I don't like background and filler music; it is usually annoying so glad you didn't add any. :D
NICE WORK FELLAS , I WOULD LIKE TOO SEE THE REPOT ASWELL , CHEERS
What a fantastic tree 🙏
If it was me i would have left that middle live branch to make more of a visual link between the left and right of the tree. With it gone the left and right of the finished tree look a bit seperate from each other.
Yes, it certainly had lots of options, The problem with leaving it was that I felt it obscured the movement and twisty character of the rest of the tree.
@@greenwoodbonsaistudio yes I get that, it definately makes the trunk more visible, after all this is the main feature of this tree. Its Fantastic 💚🙏
Stunning Corin, I enjoyed looking at the finished tree at the course this weekend. Thanks for the video... and the course (highly recommended!)
That’s a good one 👍
Amazing!
Thoroughly enjoyed that Corin . A major transformation and a good demonstration of your skills and artistic eye
😮Well done Corin 🙏Gotta be honest I could not see where to go with the left hand side of it at all . Good job .
WOW! what a transformation!! BEAUTIFUL.
One word 'Wow'!
Once again, quite nicely done!
Beautiful. ! Hello
Un grand merci pour la vidéo!
Beautiful job corin thanks mate
Wow! What excellent vision. Well done!
Amazing job what a transformation
Fantastic material to work with and great job styling.
oh wow what a beast! and the tree is quite impressive too!
Really fantastic work Corin. I was cringing about that second apex at first thinking the same thing that you eventually came around to with more study. Very Exciting transformation.
Very good Bonsai style work !
That was fantastic thank you for sharing it with us, I loved it
Great explanation as you're doing the trimming! Thank you for sharing!
Not your ordinary bonsai. Love ❤️ it 👩🏻🌾🪴
Excelente trabajo gracias
Wonderful colour on the foliage it looks great great talk through corin
Great video corin. You make wiring seem so easy. Great deadwood effect too 👍
It’s true art. Your videos are really inspiring!
Wow! Amazing transformation from your starting material. Nice job, thanks for the video.
Great video
First! I am going to enjoy watching this.
Thanks Corin
Superb effort as always 👍
El cambio está siendo espectacular
👍👍👍👍
Corin you are a great instructor and a true artist, I can only hope to be more of a instructor and show the work as I and my club members at the Cypress lakes bonsai club.
Great trunk base , looks like a juniper .. good idea for my young Scots pine thanks !
What an amazing project looks epic you really are the master 😜
A bit of a straggly Bush now transformed into a structured tree. Nice negative spaces and better visibility of the branches/jins.
I really like this one! It reminds me of Yamata no Orochi
That was an amazing transformation, what a beautiful tree it became. Thanks
Just the start of a tree over the next few years
Great talk through of the work on this tree 👍
Thanks 👍
The transformation is fantastic to have the picture in your head to transform a tree like this is awesome , another really enjoyable video and lessons learned for tree's in the future . 5*
Thank you so much 😀
Very nice re-shape and re-styling, impressive! I notice that the needles are already rather small and short: nice! This is going to be a beautiful and impressive tree.
Wonderful job Corin! Thank you for the the many tips you shared while styling. I have an old Mugo Pine that has been grown as a landscape tree for 25 years but has become quite scraggly and overgrown. I plan to transplant it into a container this spring and see how I might begin its training. Thanks again.
😍👏👏👏
A very strange tree. Congratulations. A good job
Looks great Corin!!
Thanks Nigel
Wow, the master strikes.
👍👌🙂
Really nice . I really liked to see every minute of you styling this tricky pine , and the sound is perfect with the new microphone. Well done Corin.
Hello from Versailles , lots of fans down here ;)
Wow, fans in Versailles ! Glad you like the video, was a mammoth task with this one.
What you did with this tree is amazing. I must say, however, that I liked the look of the lower, left-most branch at 13:15 minutes into the video better than at the end. It provided a lot more directionality and movement throughout the entire tree.
The tree reminds me of the shape of a dragon, thanks for the video and explanation.
Thanks for watching!
I think the wire scaring will in time look good especially when you see wild Scots pines that grow in coastal areas they the bark on branches and trunks can be very knarlred due to winds cracking and twisting branches
Rather a big tree that one.
Clearly a great job of 39:26 cleaning the tree .I would like to see it tilted more to the left and brining the branches down on the Wright hand side . Also ableing to bring the left branch up to finish the left side .But overall good video well done
Enjoyed your video Corin on my launch break! My little boy 4 years old also asked me why I watch Bonsai videos all the time 😊😁😅
Wow show hand you just as well natural hand hold 🌿keep spec different channel 🌿hand hold Pittsburgh out management beautiful bonsai thank you for good advice tree biggest 🤭🥰👍
Hello Corin. Excellent video. I see that you have just released this video. Are you doing this work this Spring or was it done last autumn?
Done last week (end of Jan)
@@greenwoodbonsaistudio Thank You. A wonderful masterclass.
£10 says the owner leaves it in the garden, lets the wire cut in and don't bring it back to be worked on again until it looks like crap again. Either that or sells it on.
i think the tree would look impresive without the tree on the right just keep the twisted side for a semmi cascade
Corin, one of your most valuable assets is your sight... why do you not wear safety glasses during carving? Maybe you'd rather lose your sight.
like the bullshit corner
Lmao
