  • In this video Corin styles this black pine bonsai. The tree had been kept in a rather small pot for many years and is well in need of some TLC, removing the old needles, wiring and shaping before repotting the tree.

    Probably the best bonsai tutorials on you tube…hate when bonsai designers wire without saying a word about what they are doing, and why they are doing it..

    I am having doubts right now watching the video, which by the way the final result looks very good...☺ But... my question is: You can do both... transplant with root pruning and wire to black pines. ? without harming them due to stress, I say. Some recommend not touching the foliage if a transplant was done... at least until it recovers, but looking at this tutorial I see that it doesn't affect them at all to do everything at once...?🤔

    Hello Corin. Nice design JBP. Just a Thought the large Oval drum Pot is my take. I thought Black Pines are more of a Man Tree and need a Strong Pot ? Corin would this JBP go to the Nursery to recover?Corin could you have Air Layer the Top Have?

    I get that artists are reluctant to explain or analyze their art. But... "This branch wants to move over here." C'mon mate... it's an instructional video, is it not? Why are you making the choices you are making?

    • @greenwoodbonsaistudio
      @greenwoodbonsaistudio  Рік тому

      I'm not at all reluctant to explain, if I was why would I do these videos. As I move the branch you can see it fit in with the overall design, as the tree takes shape. This was a quick demo, you might find some of our other videos have more detail, to give you a better understanding of how I work.
