I'm trying to help others start painting I love to see people create most of my painting goes to help veteran organizations I really appreciate your support and kind words
I'm watching this video now, from the UK, as I'm about to start my lure painting/making adventure and I must say a big thank you to you, for your time and patience, for putting together this true beginners lure making masterclass. It was and will be very useful. Thank you very much sir!
I love watching your videos. They always put me in a good mood. I’m a retired police officer. After 23 years of service and now in my retirement I can’t find much to keep me occupied so I started painting fishing lures and hot wheels. I find it relaxing like your videos. Here is a good tip for you. I use rainX on my needles after I clean them. Believe it or not. It works like you wouldn’t believe on keeping paint from sticking to the needle. I use Paasche airbrushes because the needle tips are bigger for my old butt to see. Anyway. Keep making awesome videos. I am learning a lot from watching them in my retirement.
Thank you for your service I greatly appreciate it and that is a great tip I use turtle wax on my needles.couple.times.a year never thought about rain x I'm gonna try
Enjoyed, Charley, I'll wait a bit before I start to call ya Goose. 5 coats of primer is that because the blanks need that much fill or does the plastic move that much cold warm hot conditions?
Avid fisherman here that has been inspired by your channel to create my own lures. Thank you so much for the content. I’m curious if you will share where you get your bulk hooks? My apologies if you have mentioned it in a video already. I haven’t made it through them all yet.
I have been in a struggle trying to use BSI Epoxy, half of my baits have spots where the Epoxy won't stick. Wondering if KBS would be a better fit or some hint on what I need to attempt for BSI to work.
I made a fan out of an computer fan and filters that sucks the overspray up I also have a window to the left of me when I paint that is usually open for ventilation
Charlie thank U so much 4 that video!!!!! Who makes the moisture trap that U use and does Mell use a clear coat on the water slides after she prints them?
I really want to get started doing this my question is how to you identify quality blank lures from bad ones? Any brands or websites your recommend or suggest?
Hi Jordan find a quality dealer su as sugartit and order from them been buying from them for several years and have had no problems with quality I try to stay away from baits off Amazon because they never run True and you spend wat to much time tuning rhem
this is the very first video watch that explains everything you need to know about painting fishing lures

Seal wood then paint

Yes Anita's metallic white
@@UglyDogLures thank you
What does your ventilation look like? Or do you not use any?
I made a fan out of an computer fan and filters that sucks the overspray up I also have a window to the left of me when I paint that is usually open for ventilation
@@UglyDogLures okay thanks! I’d like to see that sometime
Get yourself a tape dispenser, so much easier to use, VS just laying tape on the table.
Is there a website u recommend to buy bait fish scale stencils from? Thanks for your time.
Check out sugartit they have some stencils
Thanks
I have a question for your reducer how many drops do you put in or how do you measure that out for the Apple barrel paint
Until it gets to the consistency of milk and runs down your finger easily
@@UglyDogLures okay thank you very much
