The Roush filter is nearly twice the surface area as stock, less restrictive which adds about 5hp. Otherwise the rest of the factory system is already "cold air", no need to swap parts that don't need swapping.

    Whats up with you guys..
You never followed through with the coolant line reconnect on Stage one peformance..
Found out even know your video
    shows coolant line disconnect
    on factory ..never saw reconnect..
There is a reason for that..
Even know its same year and engine and all that stuff ford has several options with the factory snorkel..
Rouch should of told you that..
My new Specific Rouch Intake for my 2021 Ranger
is completely different and wont work..
My existing snorkel has a huge module on the back side..
    Their kit wont work..Wrong!
Rouch said take pictures..complaint and submit to
    rouch..
You would think that they would already know..Of course they do..
Product way over priced for what you get..
I wanted to speek to somebody educated in the fit dept but they blew me off.. Sad!!

The engineers of most cars already try to get the intake far away from the engine (unlike older cars or cars with extremely small engine compartment). As I under stand it, modern 'cold air intakes' just figure out how to get a filter with a larger surface area on filter to allow MORE air in.

I'll concede that aftermarket "cold air intakes" don't honestly offer much in the way of actual performance gains, but tunes on a forced induction engine do significantly improve performance. The one thing to remember is that a quality tune doesn't reduce engine reliability or integrity. You're not running at 100% power all the time so when you're not really getting into it, the tune isn't actually putting any extra stress on the engine at all.
